사무엘상 26:1-28:25

 사울은 다윗을 추격하다가 오히려 다윗에게 죽을 위기를 맞았으나 다윗은 또다시 그를 살려 주었다. 사울을 두려워한 다윗은 가드 왕 아기스에게 도피하였다. 블레셋의 침략에 위급해진 사울은 엔돌의 신접한 여인을 찾아가 사무엘의 혼을 불러 올리게 하였다. 그에게 나타난 사무엘은 사울의 범죄를 지적하며 그의 몰락과 죽음을 예고했다.
  
  사울을 다시 살려 준 다윗(26:1-26:25)    
 
  1. And the Ziphites came unto Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon?
  2. Then Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.
  3. And Saul pitched in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon, by the way. But David abode in the wilderness, and he saw that Saul came after him into the wilderness.
  4. David therefore sent out spies, and understood that Saul was come in very deed.
  5. And David arose, and came to the place where Saul had pitched: and David beheld the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain of his host: and Saul lay in the trench, and the people pitched round about him.
  1. 십 광야의 주민이 기브아로 사울을 찾아와서 밀고하였다. "다윗은 여시몬 맞은쪽 하길라 산 속에 숨어 있는 것이 확실합니다."
  2. 그래서 사울이 일어나, 이스라엘에서 삼천 명을 골라 거느리고, 십 광야에 있는 다윗을 찾으러 직접 십 광야로 내려갔다.
  3. 사울은 여시몬 맞은쪽 하길라 산 속으로 들어가 길 가에 진을 쳤다. 이 때에 다윗은 바로 그 광야에 있었기 때문에, 사울이 자기를 잡으려고 그 광야로 쫓아온 것을 알게 되었다.
  4. 다윗은 곧 정찰대원들을 파견하여, 사울이 와 있는 장소가 어디인가를 확인하게 한 다음에,
  5. 사울이 진을 친 곳으로 가 보았다. 다윗이 그 곳에 와 보니, 사울과 넬의 아들 아브넬 군사령관이 자고 있었는데, 사울은 진의 한가운데서 자고, 그의 둘레에는 군인들이 사방으로 진을 치고 있었다.
  1. Then answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying, Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp? And Abishai said, I will go down with thee.
  2. So David and Abishai came to the people by night: and, behold, Saul lay sleeping within the trench, and his spear stuck in the ground at his bolster: but Abner and the people lay round about him.
  3. Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day: now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time.
  4. And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD's anointed, and be guiltless?
  5. David said furthermore, As the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.
  1. 그래서 다윗이, 헷 사람 아히멜렉과 스루야의 아들 요압의 아우인 아비새에게, 누가 자기와 함께 사울의 진으로 내려가겠느냐고 물으니, 아비새가 나서서, 자기가 다윗과 함께 내려가겠다고 대답하였다.
  2. 이리하여 다윗이 아비새를 데리고 밤에 군인들이 있는 곳으로 가 보니, 사울이 진의 한가운데서 누워 자고, 그의 머리맡에는 그의 창이 땅바닥에 꽂혀 있고, 아브넬과 군인들은 그의 둘레에 사방으로 누워 있었다.
  3. 아비새가 다윗에게 자청하였다. "하나님이 오늘, 이 원수를 장군님의 손에 넘겨 주셨습니다. 제가 그를 당장 창으로 찔러 땅바닥에 박아 놓겠습니다. 두 번 찌를 것도 없이, 한 번이면 됩니다."
  4. 그러나 다윗은 아비새에게 타일렀다. "그를 죽여서는 안 된다. 그 어느 누구든지, 주님께서 기름부어 세우신 자를 죽였다가는 벌을 면하지 못한다."
  5. 다윗이 말을 계속하였다. "주님께서 확실히 살아 계심을 두고 말하지만, 주님께서 사울을 치시든지, 죽을 날이 되어서 죽든지, 또는 전쟁에 나갔다가 죽든지 할 것이다.
  1. The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand against the LORD's anointed: but, I pray thee, take thou now the spear that is at his bolster, and the cruse of water, and let us go.
  2. So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul's bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.
  3. Then David went over to the other side, and stood on the top of an hill afar off; a great space being between them:
  4. And David cried to the people, and to Abner the son of Ner, saying, Answerest thou not, Abner? Then Abner answered and said, Who art thou that criest to the king?
  5. And David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept thy lord the king? for there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy lord.
  1. 주님께서 기름부어 세우신 이를 내가 쳐서 죽이는 일은, 주님께서 금하시는 일이다. 그러므로 이제 우리는 그의 머리맡에 있는 창과 물병만 가지고 가자."
  2. 다윗이 사울의 머리맡에 있던 창과 물병을 들고 아비새와 함께 빠져 나왔으나, 보는 사람도 없고, 눈치채는 사람도 없고, 깨는 사람도 없었다. 주님께서 그들을 깊이 잠들게 하셔서, 그들이 모두 곤하게 잠들어 있었기 때문이다.
  3. 다윗이 맞은편으로 건너가 멀리 산꼭대기에 섰다. 다윗과 사울 사이의 거리가 꽤 멀어졌다.
  4. 여기서 다윗이 사울의 부하들과 넬의 아들 아브넬에게 소리쳤다. "아브넬은 대답을 하여라!" 아브넬이 대답하였다. "네가 누구이기에 감히 소리를 쳐서 임금님을 깨우느냐?"
  5. 다윗이 아브넬에게 호통을 쳤다. "너는 사내 대장부가 아니냐? 이스라엘 천지에서 너만한 대장부가 어디에 또 있느냐? 그런데 네가 어째서 너의 상전인 임금님을 잘 보호하여 드리지 않았느냐? 백성 가운데 한 사람이 너의 상전인 임금님을 범하려고 이미 들어갔었다.
  1. This thing is not good that thou hast done. As the LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye have not kept your master, the LORD's anointed. And now see where the king's spear is, and the cruse of water that was at his bolster.
  2. And Saul knew David's voice, and said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And David said, It is my voice, my lord, O king.
  3. And he said, Wherefore doth my lord thus pursue after his servant? for what have I done? or what evil is in mine hand?
  4. Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the LORD have stirred thee up against me, let him accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, Go, serve other gods.
  5. Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the LORD: for the king of Israel is come out to seek a flea, as when one doth hunt a partridge in the mountains.
  1. 너는 이번에 너의 책임을 다하지 못했다. 주님께서 확실히 살아 계심을 두고 말하지만, 너희가 주님께서 기름부어 세우신 너희의 상전을 보호해 드리지 못했으니, 너희는 이제 죽어 마땅하다. 그러므로 너는 이제 왕의 창이 어디로 갔으며, 왕의 머리맡에 있던 물병이 어디로 갔는지, 어서 찾아 보도록 하여라."
  2. 사울이 다윗의 목소리를 알아듣고 말하였다. "나의 아들 다윗아, 이것이 정말로 너의 목소리냐?" 다윗이 대답하였다. "나의 상전이신 임금님, 그러합니다."
  3. 그런 다음에, 다윗이 말하였다. "나의 상전이신 임금님은 어찌하여 이렇게 임금님의 종을 사냥하러 나오셨습니까? 내가 무슨 잘못을 저질렀습니까? 내 손으로 저지른 죄악이 무엇입니까?
  4. 나의 상전이신 임금님은 이 종이 하는 말에 귀를 기울여 주시기 바랍니다. 임금님을 충동하여 나를 치도록 시키신 분이 주님이시면, 나는 기꺼이 희생제물이 되겠습니다. 그러나 임금님을 충동하여 나를 치도록 시킨 것이 사람이면, 그들이 주님에게서 저주를 받기를 바랍니다. 주님께서 유산으로 주신 땅에서 내가 받을 몫을 받지 못하도록 하고, 나더러 멀리 떠나가서 다른 신들이나 섬기라고 하면서, 나를 쫓아낸 자들이 바로 그들이기 때문입니다.
  5. 그러니 이제, 주님으로부터 멀리 떨어진 이 이방 땅에서, 내가 살해당하지 않게 하여 주시기를 바랍니다. 어찌하여 이스라엘의 임금님이, 사냥꾼이 산에서 메추라기를 사냥하듯이, 겨우 벼룩 한 마리 같은 나를 찾으러 이렇게 나서셨습니까?"
  1. Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.
  2. And David answered and said, Behold the king's spear! and let one of the young men come over and fetch it.
  3. The LORD render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the LORD delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth mine hand against the LORD's anointed.
  4. And, behold, as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes, so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.
  5. Then Saul said to David, Blessed be thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great things, and also shalt still prevail. So David went on his way, and Saul returned to his place.
  1. 사울이 대답하였다. "내가 잘못했다. 나의 아들 다윗아, 돌아오너라. 네가 오늘 나의 생명을 귀중하게 여겨 주었으니, 내가 다시는 너에게 해를 끼치지 않겠다. 정말 내가 어리석은 일을 하여, 아주 큰 잘못을 저질렀다."
  2. 다윗이 말하였다. "여기에 임금님의 창이 있습니다. 젊은이 하나가 건너와서 가져가게 하십시오.
  3. 주님께서 각 사람에게 그 공의와 진실을 따라 갚아 주시기를 바랍니다. 주님께서 오늘 임금님을 나의 손에 넘겨 주셨지만, 나는, 주님께서 기름부어 세우신 임금님께 손을 대지 않았습니다.
  4. 그러므로 내가 오늘 임금님의 생명을 귀중하게 여겼던 것과 같이, 주님께서도 나의 생명을 귀중하게 여기시고, 어떠한 궁지에서도 나를 건져 내어 주실 것입니다."
  5. 사울이 다윗에게 말하였다. "나의 아들 다윗아, 하나님이 너에게 복 주시기를 바란다. 너는 참으로 일을 해낼 만한 사람이니, 매사에 형통하기를 바란다." 다윗은 자기의 길로 가고, 사울도 자기의 궁으로 돌아갔다.
 
  다윗의 블레셋 망명(27:1-27:12)    
 
  1. And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
  2. And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that were with him unto Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.
  3. And David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife.
  4. And it was told Saul that David was fled to Gath: and he sought no more again for him.
  5. And David said unto Achish, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee?
  1. 다윗이 혼자서 생각하였다. "이제 이러다가, 내가 언젠가는 사울의 손에 붙잡혀 죽을 것이다. 살아나는 길은 블레셋 사람의 땅으로 망명하는 것뿐이다. 그러면 사울이 다시 나를 찾으려고 이스라엘의 온 땅을 뒤지다가 포기할 것이며, 나는 그의 손에서 벗어나게 될 것이다."
  2. 그래서 다윗은 일어나서, 자기를 따르는 부하 육백 명을 거느리고, 가드 왕 마옥의 아들 아기스에게로 넘어갔다.
  3. 그리하여 다윗은 가드에 있는 아기스에게로 가서 거처를 정하였다. 다윗과 그의 부하들은 저마다 가족을 거느리고 살았는데, 다윗이 거느린 두 아내는 이스르엘 여인 아히노암과 나발의 아내였던 갈멜 여인 아비가일이었다.
  4. 다윗이 가드로 도망갔다는 소식이 사울에게 전하여지니, 그가 다시는 다윗을 찾지 않았다.
  5. 다윗이 아기스에게 간청하였다. "임금님이 나를 좋게 보신다면, 지방 성읍들 가운데서 하나를 나에게 주셔서, 내가 그 곳에 정착할 수 있도록 해주시기를 바랍니다. 이 종이 어떻게 감히 임금님과 함께, 임금님이 계시는 도성에 살 수가 있겠습니까?"
  1. Then Achish gave him Ziklag that day: wherefore Ziklag pertaineth unto the kings of Judah unto this day.
  2. And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and four months.
  3. And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.
  4. And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.
  5. And Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
  1. 그러자 아기스는 그 날 당장 시글락을 다윗에게 주었다. 그래서 시글락이 이 날까지 유다 왕들의 소유가 되었다.
  2. 다윗이 블레셋 사람의 지역에서 거주한 기간은 일 년 넉 달이었다.
  3. 바로 그 기간에, 다윗은 부하들을 거느리고 다니면서, 그술 사람과 기르스 사람과 아말렉 사람을 습격하곤 하였다. 그 사람들은 오래 전부터 수르 광야와 이집트 국경선에 이르는 전 지역에서 살고 있었다.
  4. 다윗은, 그들이 사는 지역을 칠 때에는, 남녀를 가리지 않고 한 사람도 살려 두지 않고, 양과 소와 나귀와 낙타와 옷을 약탈하였다. 약탈물을 가지고 아기스에게로 돌아가면,
  5. 아기스는 으레 "그대들이 오늘은 어디를 습격하였소?" 하고 묻고, 그럴 때마다 다윗은, 유다의 남쪽 지역을 털었다느니, 여라무엘 족속의 남쪽 지역을 털었다느니, 또는 겐 족속의 남쪽 지역을 털었다느니, 하는 식으로 대답을 하곤 하였다.
  1. And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell on us, saying, So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines.
  2. And Achish believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever.
  1. 다윗이 남녀를 가리지 않고 죽이고 가드로 데려가지 않은 것은, 그들이 다윗의 정체를 알아, 다윗이 그런 일을 하였다고 폭로할까 두려웠기 때문이다. 다윗은 블레셋 사람의 지역에 거주하는 동안, 언제나 이런 식으로 처신하였다.
  2. 아기스는 다윗의 말만 믿고서, 다윗이 자기 백성 이스라엘에게서 그토록 미움받을 짓을 하였으니, 그가 영영 자기의 종이 될 것이라고 생각하였다.
 
  엔돌의 무당을 찾아간 사울(28:1-28:25)    
 
  1. And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their armies together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And Achish said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me to battle, thou and thy men.
  2. And David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever.
  3. Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
  4. And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa.
  5. And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.
  1. 그럴 즈음에 블레셋 사람이 이스라엘에 쳐들어가려고 모든 부대를 집결시켰다. 그러자 아기스가 다윗에게 말하였다. "귀관이 나와 함께 출정하여야 한다는 것을 알고 있을 줄 아오. 귀관은 부하들을 거느리고 직접 출정하시오."
  2. 다윗이 아기스에게 대답하였다. "그렇게 하겠습니다. 이 종이 무엇을 할 수 있는지, 임금님이 아시게 될 것입니다." 아기스가 다윗에게 말하였다. "좋소! 귀관을 나의 종신 경호대장으로 삼겠소."
  3. 사무엘이 이미 죽어서 온 이스라엘 백성이 그의 죽음을 슬퍼하며, 그를 그의 고향 라마에 장사지낸 뒤였다. 그리고 사울이 나라 안에서 무당과 박수를 모조리 쫓아낸 때였다.
  4. 바로 그 때에 블레셋 군대가 모여서 수넴에 진을 쳤다. 사울도 온 이스라엘 군을 집결시켜, 길보아 산에 진을 쳤다.
  5. 사울은 블레셋 군의 진을 보고, 두려워서 마음이 몹시 떨렸다.
  1. And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
  2. Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
  3. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.
  4. And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
  5. And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
  1. 사울이 주님께 물었으나, 주님께서는 그에게 꿈으로도, 우림으로도, 예언자로도, 대답하여 주지 않으셨다.
  2. 그래서 사울은 자기의 신하들에게 명령하였다. "망령을 불러올리는 여자 무당을 한 사람 찾아 보아라. 내가 그 여인을 찾아가서 물어 보겠다." 사울의 신하들이 그에게 말하였다. "엔돌에 망령을 불러올리는 무당이 한 사람 있습니다."
  3. 사울은 다른 옷으로 갈아 입고 변장한 다음에, 두 신하를 데리고 갔다. 밤에 그들이 그 여인에게 이르렀는데, 사울이 그에게 말하였다. "망령을 부르는 술법으로, 내가 당신에게 말하는 사람을 나에게 불러올려 주시오."
  4. 그러나 그 여인이 그에게 대답하였다. "이것 보시오. 사울이 이 나라에서 무당과 박수를 모조리 잡아 죽인 것은, 당신도 잘 아시지 않습니까? 그런데 왜 당신은 나의 목에 올가미를 씌워, 나를 죽이려고 하십니까?"
  5. 사울이 주님의 이름을 걸고 그 여인에게 맹세하였다. "주님께서 확실히 살아 계심을 걸고 맹세하지만, 당신이 이 일로는 아무런 벌도 받지 않을 것이오."
  1. Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
  2. And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
  3. And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.
  4. And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
  5. And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.
  1. 그 여인이 물었다. "내가 당신에게 누구를 불러올릴까요?" 사울이 대답하였다. "나에게 사무엘을 불러올리시오."
  2. 그 여인은 사무엘이 올라온 것을 보고, 놀라서 큰소리를 질렀다. 그런 다음에, 그 여인은 사울에게 항의하였다. "사울 임금님이 몸소 오셨으면서도 왜 저를 속이셨습니까?"
  3. 왕이 그 여인에게 말하였다. "무서워하지 말아라. 네가 무엇을 보고 있느냐?" 여인이 사울에게 대답하였다. "땅 속에서 영이 올라온 것을 보고 있습니다."
  4. 사울이 그 여인에게 물었다. "그 모습이 어떠하냐?" 여인이 대답하였다. "한 노인이 올라오는데, 겉옷을 걸치고 있습니다." 사울은 그가 사무엘인 것을 알아차리고, 얼굴이 땅에 닿도록 엎드려 절을 하였다.
  5. 사무엘이 사울에게 물었다. "당신이 왜 나를 불러올려 귀찮게 하시오?" 사울이 대답하였다. "제가 매우 궁지에 몰려 있습니다. 블레셋 사람이 지금 저를 치고 있는데, 하나님이 이미 저에게서 떠나셨고, 예언자로도, 꿈으로도, 더 이상 저에게 응답을 하지 않으십니다. 그래서 제가 무엇을 어떻게 해야 하는지 알고 싶어서, 이처럼 어른을 뵙도록 해 달라고 부탁하였습니다."
  1. Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?
  2. And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David:
  3. Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.
  4. Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
  5. Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
  1. 사무엘이 책망하였다. "주님께서는 이미 당신에게서 떠나 당신의 원수가 되셨는데, 나에게 더 묻는 이유가 무엇이오?
  2. 주님께서는, 나를 시켜 전하신 말씀 그대로 당신에게 하셔서, 이미 이 나라의 왕위를 당신의 손에서 빼앗아 당신의 가까이에 있는 다윗에게 주셨소.
  3. 당신은 주님께 순종하지 아니하고, 주님의 분노를 아말렉에게 쏟지 아니하였소. 그렇기 때문에 주님께서 오늘 당신에게 이렇게 하셨소.
  4. 주님께서는 이제 당신과 함께 이스라엘도 블레셋 사람의 손에 넘겨 주실 터인데, 당신은 내일 당신 자식들과 함께 내가 있는 이 곳으로 오게 될 것이오. 주님께서는 이스라엘 군대도 블레셋 사람의 손에 넘겨 주실 것이오."
  5. 그러자 사울은 갑자기 그 자리에 쓰러져 땅바닥에 벌렁 넘어졌다. 사무엘의 말을 듣고서, 너무나 두려웠기 때문이다. 게다가 그는 그 날 하루 종일, 그리고 밤새도록 굶었으므로, 힘마저 쭉 빠져 있었다.
  1. And the woman came unto Saul, and saw that he was sore troubled, and said unto him, Behold, thine handmaid hath obeyed thy voice, and I have put my life in my hand, and have hearkened unto thy words which thou spakest unto me.
  2. Now therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.
  3. But he refused, and said, I will not eat. But his servants, together with the woman, compelled him; and he hearkened unto their voice. So he arose from the earth, and sat upon the bed.
  4. And the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she hasted, and killed it, and took flour, and kneaded it, and did bake unleavened bread thereof:
  5. And she brought it before Saul, and before his servants; and they did eat. Then they rose up, and went away that night.
  1. 그 여인이 사울에게 가까이 와서, 그가 아주 기진맥진해 있는 것을 보고, 그에게 말하였다. "보십시오, 이 종은 임금님의 분부를 다 따랐습니다. 저는 목숨을 내놓고, 임금님이 저에게 명령하신 대로 다 이루어 드렸습니다.
  2. 그러므로 이제는 임금님도 이 종의 말씀을 들어 주시기 바랍니다. 제가 임금님께 음식을 좀 대접하여 드리겠습니다. 임금님이 길을 더 가시려면 기운을 차리셔야 하니, 음식을 드시기 바랍니다."
  3. 그러나 사울은 "아무것도 먹고 싶지 않다!" 하고 말하면서, 그 여인의 청을 거절하였다. 그러나 사울의 신하들까지 그 여인과 함께 사울에게 권하니, 사울이 그들의 말을 듣고, 땅바닥에서 일어나 평상에 앉았다.
  4. 그 여인에게는 집에서 키운 살진 송아지가 한 마리 있었는데, 서둘러서 그것을 잡고, 밀가루를 가져다가 반죽하여 누룩을 넣지 않은 빵을 구워서,
  5. 사울과 그의 신하들 앞에 차려 놓으니, 그들은 그 음식을 먹고 일어나서, 그 밤에 떠났다.
