이사야 49:1-50:11

 이사야는 하나님께서 택하신 종 메시아는 이스라엘을 비롯하여 장차 모든 성도들의 영원한 구원자가 되실 것임을 예언하였다. 하나님께서는 말씀에 불순종했던 이스라엘 백성들에게 심판을 내려 포로 생활을 하게 하셨지만 회복을 약속하셨다. 메시아가 하나님의 뜻에 순종함으로 받는 고난은 인간이 스스로 씻을 수 없는 죄악을 대속하기 위함이었다
  
  야웨의 종의 노래(49:1-49:7)    
 
  1. Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.
  2. And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;
  3. And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
  4. Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God.
  5. And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
  1. 너희 섬들아, 내가 하는 말을 들어라. 너희 먼 곳에 사는 민족들아, 귀를 기울여라. 주님께서 이미 모태에서부터 나를 부르셨고, 내 어머니의 태 속에서부터 내 이름을 기억하셨다.
  2. 내 입을 날카로운 칼처럼 만드셔서, 나를 주님의 손 그늘에 숨기셨다. 나를 날카로운 화살로 만드셔서, 주님의 화살통에 감추셨다.
  3. 주님께서 내게 말씀하셨다. "이스라엘아, 너는 내 종이다. 네가 내 영광을 나타낼 것이다."
  4. 그러나 나의 생각에는, 내가 한 것이 모두 헛수고 같았고, 쓸모 없고 허무한 일에 내 힘을 허비한 것 같았다. 그러나 참으로 주님께서 나를 올바로 심판하여 주셨으며, 내 하나님께서 나를 정당하게 보상하여 주셨다.
  5. 내가 태어나기도 전부터 주님께서는 나를 그의 종으로 삼으셨다. 야곱을 주님께로 돌아오게 하시고 흩어진 이스라엘을 다시 불러모으시려고, 나를 택하셨다. 그래서 나는 주님의 귀한 종이 되었고, 주님은 내 힘이 되셨다. 주님께서 내게 말씀하신다.
  1. And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
  2. Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.
  1. 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "네가 내 종이 되어서, 야곱의 지파들을 일으키고 이스라엘 가운데 살아 남은 자들을 돌아오게 하는 것은, 네게 오히려 가벼운 일이다. 땅 끝까지 나의 구원이 미치게 하려고, 내가 너를 '뭇 민족의 빛'으로 삼았다."
  2. 이스라엘의 속량자, 거룩하신 주님께서, 남들에게 멸시를 받는 사람, 여러 민족들에게 미움을 받는 사람, 통치자들에게 종살이하는 사람에게 말씀하신다. "왕들이 너를 보고 일어나서 예를 갖출 것이며, 대신들이 또한 부복할 것이니, 이는 너를 택한 이스라엘의 거룩한 하나님, 신실한 나 주 하나님 때문이다."
 
  이스라엘의 회복(49:8-49:26)    
 
  1. Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
  2. That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
  3. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
  4. And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
  5. Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.
  1. 주님께서 그의 백성에게 이렇게 말씀하신다. "너희를 구원해야 할 때가 되면, 내가 너희에게 은혜를 베풀겠고, 살려 달라고 부르짖는 날에는, 내가 그 간구를 듣고 너희를 돕겠다. 내가 너희를 지키고 보호하겠으며, 너를 시켜서 뭇 백성과 언약을 맺겠다. 너희가 살던 땅이 황무해졌지마는, 내가 너희를 다시 너희 땅에 정착시키겠다.
  2. 감옥에 갇혀 있는 죄수들에게는 '나가거라. 너희는 자유인이 되었다!' 하고 말하겠고, 어둠 속에 갇혀 있는 사람들에게는 '밝은 곳으로 나오너라!' 하고 말하겠다. 그들이 어디로 가든지 먹거리를 얻게 할 것이며, 메말랐던 모든 산을 그들이 먹거리를 얻는 초장이 되게 하겠다.
  3. 그들은 배고프거나 목마르지 않으며, 무더위나 햇볕도 그들을 해치지 못할 것이니, 이것은 긍휼히 여기시는 분께서 그들을 이끄시기 때문이며, 샘이 솟는 곳으로 그들을 인도하시기 때문이다.
  4. 내가, 산에서 산으로 이어지는 큰길을 만들고, 내 백성이 자유스럽게 여행할 큰길을 닦겠다.
  5. 보아라, 내 백성이 먼 곳으로부터도 오고, 또 더러는 북쪽에서도 오고, 서쪽에서도 오고, 아스완 땅에서도 올 것이다."
  1. Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
  2. But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
  3. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
  4. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
  5. Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.
  1. 하늘아, 기뻐하여라! 땅아, 즐거워하여라! 산들아, 노랫소리를 높여라. 주님께서 그의 백성을 위로하셨고, 또한 고난을 받은 그 사람들을 긍휼히 여기셨다.
  2. 그런데 시온이 말하기를 "주님께서 나를 버리셨고, 주님께서 나를 잊으셨다" 하는구나.
  3. "어머니가 어찌 제 젖먹이를 잊겠으며, 제 태에서 낳은 아들을 어찌 긍휼히 여기지 않겠느냐! 비록 어머니가 자식을 잊는다 하여도, 나는 절대로 너를 잊지 않겠다.
  4. 보아라, 예루살렘아, 내가 네 이름을 내 손바닥에 새겼고, 네 성벽을 늘 지켜 보고 있다.
  5. 너를 건축할 사람들이 곧 올 것이니, 너를 파괴하는 사람과 황폐하게 하는 사람이 너를 곧 떠날 것이다.
  1. Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.
  2. For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.
  3. The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
  4. Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
  5. Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
  1. 네 눈을 들어 주위를 둘러보아라. 네 백성이 모두 모여 너에게로 온다. 나 주가 내 삶을 걸고 맹세한다. 신부가 패물을 몸에 치장하고 자랑하듯, 너는 네 백성을 자랑할 것이다.
  2. 내가 네 땅을 쳤고, 황폐하게 하였고, 파괴하였지만, 이제는 백성이 너무 많아서 네 땅이 비좁다. 너를 삼키던 자들은 너에게서 멀리 떠날 것이다.
  3. 한때 네가 잃은 줄로만 알았던 자녀들이 다시 네 귀에 속삭이기를 '이 곳이 너무 비좁으니, 내가 살 수 있도록 자리를 넓혀 주십시오' 할 것이다.
  4. 그 때에 너는 마음 속으로 이르기를 '누가 나에게 이 아이들을 낳아 주었는가? 나는 자식을 잃고 더 낳을 수도 없었는데, 포로가 되어 버림을 받았는데, 누가 이 아이들을 키워 주었는가? 나 홀로 남지 않았던가! 도대체 이 아이들이 다 어디에서 왔는가?' 할 것이다."
  5. 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "내가 뭇 민족을 손짓하여 부르고, 뭇 백성에게 신호를 보낼 터이니, 그들이 네 아들을 안고 오며, 네 딸을 업고 올 것이다.
  1. And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
  2. Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
  3. But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
  4. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
  1. 왕들이 네 아버지처럼 될 것이며, 왕비들이 네 어머니처럼 될 것이다. 그들이 얼굴을 땅에 대고 네게 엎드릴 것이며, 네 발의 먼지를 닦아 줄 것이다. 그 때에 너는, 내가 주인 줄을 알 것이다. 나를 믿고 기다리는 사람은 수치를 당하지 않는다."
  2. 적군에게서 전리품을 빼앗을 수 있느냐? 폭군에게서 사로잡힌 포로를 빼내 올 수 있느냐?
  3. 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "내가 적군에게서 포로를 빼어 오겠으며, 폭군에게서 전리품도 빼앗아 오겠다. 나는 나와 맞서는 자들과 겨루고, 네 자녀들을 구원하겠다.
  4. 너를 억압하는 자들로 서로 쳐죽이게 하고, 새 포도주에 취하듯이, 저희들끼리 피를 나누어 마시고 취하게 하겠다. 그리고 나면, 모든 사람이, 나 주가 네 구원자요, 네 속량자요, '야곱의 전능자'임을 알게 될 것이다."
 
  종의 순종(50:1-50:11)    
 
  1. Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
  2. Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
  3. I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
  4. The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
  5. The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
  1. 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "내가 너희 어머니를 쫓아내기라도 하였느냐? 내가 너희 어머니에게 써 준 이혼증서가 어디에 있느냐? 내가 너희를 채권자에게 팔아 넘기기라도 하였느냐? 이것 보아라, 너희가 팔려 간 것은 너희의 죄 때문이다. 너희 어머니가 쫓겨난 것은 너희의 죄 때문이다.
  2. 내가 왔을 때에 왜 아무도 없었으며, 내가 불렀을 때에 왜 아무도 대답하지 않았느냐? 내 손이 짧아서 너희를 속죄하지 못하겠느냐? 내게 힘이 없어서 너희를 구원하지 못하겠느냐? 내가 꾸짖어서 바다를 말리며, 강을 광야로 바꾼다. 그러면, 물고기들이 물이 없어서 죽을 것이며, 썩은 고기들이 악취를 낼 것이다.
  3. 내가 흑암으로 하늘을 입히며, 굵은 베로 하늘을 두르겠다."
  4. 주 하나님께서 나를 학자처럼 말할 수 있게 하셔서, 지친 사람을 말로 격려할 수 있게 하신다. 아침마다 나를 깨우쳐 주신다. 내 귀를 깨우치시어 학자처럼 알아듣게 하신다.
  5. 주 하나님께서 내 귀를 열어 주셨으므로, 나는 주님께 거역하지도 않았고, 등을 돌리지도 않았다.
  1. I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
  2. For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
  3. He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
  4. Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
  5. Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
  1. 나는 나를 때리는 자들에게 등을 맡겼고, 내 수염을 뽑는 자들에게 뺨을 맡겼다. 내게 침을 뱉고 나를 모욕하여도 내가 그것을 피하려고 얼굴을 가리지도 않았다.
  2. 주 하나님께서 나를 도우시니, 그들이 나를 모욕하여도 마음 상하지 않았고, 오히려 내가 각오하고 모든 어려움을 견디어 냈다. 내가 부끄러움을 당하지 않겠다는 것을 내가 아는 까닭은,
  3. 나를 의롭다 하신 분이 가까이에 계시기 때문이다. 누가 감히 나와 다투겠는가! 함께 법정에 나서 보자. 나를 고소할 자가 누구냐? 나를 고발할 자가 있으면 하게 하여라.
  4. 주 하나님께서 나를 도와주실 것이니, 그 누가 나에게 죄가 있다 하겠느냐? 그들이 모두 옷처럼 해어지고, 좀에게 먹힐 것이다.
  5. 너희 가운데 누가 주님을 경외하며, 누가 그의 종에게 순종하느냐? 어둠 속을 걷는, 빛을 모르는 사람이라도, 주님의 이름을 신뢰하며, 하나님께 의지하여라.
  1. Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
  1. 너희가 모두 불을 피우고, 횃불을 들고 나섰지만, 너희가 피운 그 불에 너희가 탈 것이며, 너희가 들고 나선 그 횃불에 너희가 소멸될 것이다. 내가 직접 이 형벌을 너희에게 내리고, 너희는 이 고문을 견디어야 할 것이다.
