이사야 59:1-60:22

 이사야는 부조리로 가득 찬 이스라엘 백성들의 불의를 지적하고 그들의 죄악에 대해 하나님께 고백한 후, 그럼에도 불구하고 하나님께서 절망적인 인간의 구원을 위해 구속자를 통한 새 언약을 주셨다고 하였다. 하나님께서는 예전에 이스라엘을 억압하던 국가들이 이스라엘에게 복종함으로 이스라엘이 영구한 평화를 누리고 열방 중에 높임받게 될 것이라는 약속을 하셨다.
  
  죄와 구원 사역(59:1-59:21)    
 
  1. Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
  2. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
  3. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
  4. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
  5. They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
  1. 주님의 손이 짧아서 구원하지 못하시는 것도 아니고, 주님의 귀가 어두워서 듣지 못하시는 것도 아니다.
  2. 오직, 너희 죄악이 너희와 너희의 하나님 사이를 갈라놓았고, 너희의 죄 때문에 주님께서 너희에게서 얼굴을 돌리셔서, 너희의 말을 듣지 않으실 뿐이다.
  3. 너희의 손이 피로 더러워졌으며, 너희의 손가락이 죄악으로 더러워졌고, 너희의 입술이 거짓말을 하며, 너희의 혀가 악독한 말을 하기 때문이다.
  4. 공의로써 소송을 제기하는 사람이 아무도 없고, 진실되게 재판하는 사람이 하나도 없다. 헛된 것을 믿고 거짓을 말하며, 해로운 생각을 품고서, 죄를 짓는다.
  5. 그들은 독사의 알을 품고, 거미줄로 옷감을 짠다. 그 알을 먹는 사람은 죽을 것이요, 그 알이 밟혀서 터지면, 독사가 나올 것이다.
  1. Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
  2. Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
  3. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
  4. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
  5. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
  1. 그들이 거미줄로 짠 것은 옷이 되지 못하고, 그들이 만든 것으로는 아무도 몸을 덮지 못한다. 그들이 하는 일이란 죄악을 저지르는 것뿐이며, 그들의 손에는 폭행만 있다.
  2. 그들의 발은 나쁜 일을 하는 데 빠르고, 죄 없는 사람을 죽이는 일에 신속하다. 그들의 생각이란 죄악으로 가득 차 있을 뿐이며, 그들이 가는 길에는 황폐와 파멸이 있을 뿐이다.
  3. 그들은 안전한 길을 알지 못하며 그들이 가는 길에는 공평이 없다. 스스로 길을 굽게 만드니, 그 길을 걷는 모든 사람에게 안전이 없다.
  4. 그러므로 공평이 우리에게서 멀고, 공의가 우리에게 미치지 못한다. 우리가 빛을 바라나, 어둠뿐이며, 밝음을 바라나, 암흑 속을 걸을 뿐이다.
  5. 우리는 앞을 못 보는 사람처럼 담을 더듬고, 눈먼 사람처럼 더듬고 다닌다. 대낮에도 우리가 밤길을 걸을 때처럼 넘어지니, 몸이 건강하다고 하나 죽은 사람과 다를 바 없다.
  1. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
  2. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
  3. In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
  4. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
  5. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
  1. 우리 모두가 곰처럼 부르짖고, 비둘기처럼 슬피 울며, 공평을 바라지만 공평이 없고, 구원을 바라지만 그 구원이 우리에게서 멀다.
  2. 주님, 주님께 지은 우리의 죄가 매우 많습니다. 우리의 죄가 우리를 고발합니다. 우리가 지은 죄를 우리가 발뺌할 수 없으며, 우리의 죄를 우리가 잘 압니다.
  3. 우리가 죄를 짓고 주님을 부정하였습니다. 우리의 하나님께 등을 돌리고 물러가서, 포학한 말과 거역하는 말을 하면서, 거짓말을 마음에 품었고, 또 실제로 거짓말을 하였습니다.
  4. 그래서 공평이 뒤로 밀려나고 공의가 멀어졌으며, 성실이 땅바닥에 떨어졌고, 정직이 발붙이지 못합니다.
  5. 성실이 사라지니, 악에서 떠난 자가 오히려 약탈을 당합니다. 주님께서 이것을 보셨다. 공평이 없는 것을 보시고 슬퍼하셨다.
  1. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
  2. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
  3. According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
  4. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
  5. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
  1. 압박받는 사람을 도우려는 사람이 없음을 보시고, 중재자가 없음을 보시고, 주님께서는 놀라셨다. 주님께서는 직접, 억압받는 사람들을 구원하시려고, 반드시 공의를 이루시려고, 당신의 능력을 친히 발휘하실 것이다.
  2. 주님께서 공의를 갑옷으로 입으시고, 구원의 투구를 머리에 쓰셨다. 응징을 속옷으로 입으셨다. 열심을 겉옷으로 입으셨다.
  3. 그들이 한 대로 갚으신다. 적들에게 진노하시며, 원수들에게 보복하신다. 섬들에게도 보복하신다.
  4. 해 지는 곳에서 주님의 이름을 두려워하며, 해 뜨는 곳에서 주님의 영광을 두려워할 것이다. 원수가 강물처럼 몰려오겠으나, 주님의 영이 그들을 물리치실 것이다.
  5. 주님께서 시온에 속량자로 오시고, 야곱의 자손 가운데서 죄를 회개한 사람들에게 오신다. 주님께서 하신 말씀이다.
  1. As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
  1. 주님께서 말씀하신다. "내가 그들과 맺은 나의 언약은 이러하다. 너의 위에 있는 나의 영과 너의 입에 담긴 나의 말이, 이제부터 영원토록, 너의 입과 너의 자손의 입과 또 그 자손의 자손의 입에서 떠나지 않을 것이다." 주님께서 하신 말씀이다.
 
  시온의 영광(60:1-60:22)    
 
  1. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
  2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
  3. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
  4. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
  5. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
  1. 예루살렘아, 일어나서 빛을 비추어라. 구원의 빛이 너에게 비치었으며, 주님의 영광이 아침 해처럼 너의 위에 떠올랐다.
  2. 어둠이 땅을 덮으며, 짙은 어둠이 민족들을 덮을 것이다. 그러나 오직 너의 위에는 주님께서 아침 해처럼 떠오르시며, 그의 영광이 너의 위에 나타날 것이다.
  3. 이방 나라들이 너의 빛을 보고 찾아오고, 뭇 왕이 떠오르는 너의 광명을 보고, 너에게로 올 것이다.
  4. 눈을 들어 사방을 둘러보아라. 그들이 모두 모여 너에게로 오고 있다. 너의 아들들이 먼 곳으로부터 오며, 너의 딸들이 팔에 안겨서 올 것이다.
  5. 그 때에 이것을 보는 너의 얼굴에는 기쁨이 넘치고, 흥분한 너의 가슴은 설레고, 기쁨에 벅찬 가슴은 터질 듯 할 것이다. 풍부한 재물이 뱃길로 너에게로 오며, 이방 나라의 재산이 너에게로 들어올 것이다.
  1. The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
  2. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
  3. Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
  4. Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
  5. And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
  1. 많은 낙타들이 너의 땅을 덮을 것이며, 미디안과 에바의 어린 낙타가 너의 땅을 뒤덮을 것이다. 스바의 모든 사람이 금과 유향을 가지고 와서, 주님께서 하신 일을 찬양할 것이다.
  2. 게달의 모든 양 떼가 다 너에게로 모여들며, 네가 느바욧의 숫양들을 제물로 쓸 것이다. "내가 내 성전을 이전보다 더욱 영화롭게 할 때에, 이것들이 내 제단 위에 합당한 제물로 오를 것이다."
  3. 저기, 구름 떼처럼 몰려오는 저 사람들이 누구냐? 제 보금자리로 돌아오는 비둘기처럼 날아오는 저 사람들이 누구냐?
  4. 너의 자녀들이 온다. 섬들이 나를 사모하며, 다시스의 배들이 맨 먼저 먼 곳에 있는 너의 자녀들을 데리고 온다. 그들이, 주 너의 하나님의 이름을 높이려고, 이스라엘의 거룩하신 하나님께 드리려고, 은과 금을 함께 싣고 온다. 주님께서 너를 영화롭게 하셨기 때문이다.
  5. 이방 자손이 너의 성벽을 쌓으며, 그들의 왕들이 너를 섬길 것이다. "비록 내가 진노하여 너를 쳤으나, 이제 내가 은혜를 베풀어서 너를 불쌍히 여기겠다."
  1. Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
  2. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
  3. The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
  4. The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
  5. Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
  1. 너의 성문은 언제나 열려 있어서, 밤낮으로 닫히지 않을 것이다. 이방 나라의 재물이 이 문을 지나 너에게로 오며, 이방 왕들이 사로잡혀서 너에게로 끌려올 것이다.
  2. 너를 섬기지 않는 민족과 나라는 망하고, 그런 이방 나라들은 반드시 황폐해질 것이다.
  3. "레바논의 자랑인 잣나무와 소나무와 회양목이 함께 너에게로 올 것이다. 그 나무가 나의 성전 터를 아름답게 꾸밀 것이니, 이렇게 하여서 내가 나의 발 둘 곳을 영화롭게 하겠다."
  4. 너를 괴롭히던 자들의 자손이 몸을 굽히고 너에게 나아오며, 너를 멸시하던 자들이 모두 너의 발 아래에 엎드려서, 너를 '주님의 도성'이라고 부르고, '이스라엘의 거룩하신 분의 시온' 이라고 부를 것이다.
  5. "비록 네가 전에는 버림을 받고 미움을 받아서, 너의 옆으로 오는 사람이 없었으나, 이제는 내가 길이길이 너를 높이고, 너를 오고오는 세대 사람들에게 기쁨이 되게 하겠다.
  1. Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
  2. For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.
  3. Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
  4. The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
  5. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
  1. 네가 이방 나라들의 젖을 빨며, 뭇 왕의 젖을 빨아먹을 것이니, 이것으로써, 너는 나 주가 너의 구원자이며, 너의 속량자요, 야곱의 전능자임을 알게 될 것이다."
  2. 내가 놋쇠 대신 금을 가져 오며, 철 대신 은을 가져 오며, 나무 대신 놋쇠를 가져 오며, 돌 대신 철을 가져 오겠다. "내가 평화를 너의 감독자로 세우며, 의를 너의 지배자로 세우겠다."
  3. 다시는 너의 땅에서 폭행 소문이 들려 오지 않을 것이며, 너의 국경 안에서는 황폐와 파괴 소문이 들려오지 않을 것이다. 너는 너의 성벽을 '구원'이라고 부르고, 너의 성문을 '찬송'이라고 부를 것이다.
  4. 해는 더 이상 낮을 밝히는 빛이 아니며, 달도 더 이상 밤을 밝히는 빛이 아닐 것이다. 오직 주님께서 너의 영원한 빛이 되시고, 하나님께서 너의 영광이 되실 것이다.
  5. 주님께서 몸소 너의 영원한 빛이 되시며, 네가 곡하는 날도 끝이 날 것이므로, 다시는 너의 해가 지지 않으며, 다시는 너의 달이 이지러지지 않을 것이다.
  1. Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
  2. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
  1. 너의 백성이 모두 시민권을 얻고, 땅을 영원히 차지할 것이다. 그들은 주님께서 심으신 나무다. 주님의 영광을 나타내라고 만든 주님의 작품이다.
  2. 그들 가운데서 가장 작은 이라도 한 족속의 조상이 될 것이며, 가장 약한 이가 강한 나라를 이룰 것이다. "때가 되면, 나 주가 이 일을 지체없이 이루겠다."
