- My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
- For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
- Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
- So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
- Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

- 아이들아, 내 가르침을 잊지 말고, 내 계명을 네 마음에 간직하여라.
- 그러면 그것들이 너를 장수하게 하며, 해가 갈수록 더욱 평안을 누리게 할 것이다.
- 인자와 진리를 저버리지 말고, 그것을 목에 걸고 다니며, 너의 마음 속 깊이 새겨 두어라.
- 그러면 하나님과 사람 앞에서 네가 은혜를 입고 귀중히 여김을 받을 것이다.
- 너의 마음을 다하여 주님을 의뢰하고, 너의 명철을 의지하지 말아라.

- In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
- Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
- It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
- Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
- So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

- 네가 하는 모든 일에서 주님을 인정하여라. 그러면 주님께서 네가 가는 길을 곧게 하실 것이다.
- 스스로 지혜롭다고 여기지 말고, 주님을 경외하며 악을 멀리하여라.
- 그러면 이것이 너의 몸에 보약이 되어, 상처가 낫고 아픔이 사라질 것이다.
- 너의 재산과 땅에서 얻은 모든 첫 열매로 주님을 공경하여라.
- 그러면 너의 창고가 가득 차고, 너의 포도주 통에 햇포도주가 넘칠 것이다.
