- Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
- Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
- I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
- For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
- And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.

- 에돔에서 오시는 이분은 누구신가? 붉게 물든 옷을 입고 보스라에서 오시는 이분은 누구신가? 화려한 옷차림으로 권세 당당하게 걸어오시는 이분은 누구신가? 그는 바로 나다. 의를 말하는 자요, 구원의 권능을 가진 자다.
- 어찌하여 네 옷이 붉으며, 어찌하여 포도주 틀을 밟는 사람의 옷과 같으냐?
- 나는 혼자서 포도주 틀을 밟듯이 민족들을 짓밟았다. 민족들 가운데서 나를 도와 함께 일한 자가 아무도 없었다. 내가 분내어 민족들을 짓밟았고, 내가 격하여 그들을 짓밟았다. 그들의 피가 내 옷에 튀어 내 옷이 온통 피로 물들었다.
- 복수할 날이 다가왔고, 구원의 해가 이르렀다는 생각이 들었으나,
- 아무리 살펴보아도 나를 도와서 나와 함께 일할 사람이 없었다. 나를 거들어 주는 사람이 없다니, 놀라운 일이었다. 그러나 분노가 나를 강하게 하였고, 나 혼자서 승리를 쟁취하였다.

- And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
- I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
- For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.
- In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
- But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

- 내가 분노하여 민족들을 짓밟았으며, 내가 진노하여 그들이 취하여 비틀거리게 하였고, 그들의 피가 땅에 쏟아지게 하였다.
- 나는 주님께서 베풀어 주신 변함없는 사랑을 말하고, 주님께서 우리에게 하여 주신 일로 주님을 찬양하였습니다. 주님께서 우리 모두에게 베푸신 은혜, 그의 긍휼과 그의 풍성한 자비를 따라서 이스라엘 집에 베푸신 크신 은총을 내가 전하렵니다.
- 주님께서 이르시기를 "그들은 나의 백성이며, 그들은 나를 속이지 않는 자녀들이다" 하셨습니다. 그런 다음에 그들의 구원자가 되어 주셨습니다.
- 주님께서는, 그들이 고난을 받을 때에 주님께서도 친히 고난을 받으셨습니다. 천사를 보내셔서 그들을 구하게 하시지 않고 주님께서 친히 그들을 구해 주셨습니다. 사랑과 긍휼로 그들을 구하여 주시고, 옛적 오랜 세월 동안 그들을 치켜들고 안아 주셨습니다.
- 그러나 그들은 반역하고, 그의 거룩하신 영을 근심하게 했습니다. 그러므로 그는 도리어 그들의 대적이 되셔서, 친히 그들과 싸우셨습니다.

- Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
- That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
- That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?
- As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
- Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?

- 그들은, 지난날 곧 주님의 종 모세의 날을 생각하며 물었습니다. "그의 백성 곧 양 떼의 목자들을 바다로부터 올라오게 하신 그분이, 이제는 어디에 계시는가? 그들에게 그의 거룩한 영을 넣어 주신 그분이, 이제는 어디에 계시는가?
- 그의 영광스러운 팔로, 모세를 시켜서, 오른손으로 그들을 이끌게 하시며, 그들 앞에서 물을 갈라지게 하셔서, 그의 이름을 영원히 빛나게 하신 그분이 이제는 어디에 계시는가?
- 말이 광야에서 달리듯이, 그들을 깊은 바다로 걸어가게 하신 그분이, 이제는 어디에 계시는가?
- 주님의 영이 그들을, 마치 골짜기로 내려가는 가축 떼처럼, 편히 쉬게 하시지 않았던가?" 주님께서 이렇게 주님의 백성을 인도하셔서, 주님의 이름을 영광스럽게 하셨습니다.
- 하늘로부터 굽어 살펴 주십시오. 주님이 계시는 거룩하고 영화로우신 곳에서 굽어보아 주십시오. 주님의 열성과 권능은 이제 어디에 있습니까? 이제 나에게는 주님의 자비와 긍휼이 그쳤습니다.

- Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
- O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
- The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
- We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.

- 주님께서는 우리의 아버지이십니다. 아브라함은 우리를 모르고, 이스라엘은 우리를 인정하지 않는다 하여도, 오직 주 하나님은 우리의 아버지이십니다. 옛적부터 주님의 이름은 '우리의 속량자'이십니다.
- 주님, 어찌하여 우리를 주님의 길에서 떠나게 하시며, 우리의 마음을 굳어지게 하셔서, 주님을 경외하지 않게 하십니까? 주님의 종들 곧 주님의 유산인 이 지파들을 보셔서라도 돌아와 주십시오.
- 주님의 거룩한 백성이 주님의 성소를 잠시 차지하였으나, 이제는 우리의 원수들이 주님의 성소를 짓밟습니다.
- 우리는 오래 전부터 주님의 다스림을 전혀 받지 못하는 자같이 되었으며, 주님의 이름으로 불리지도 못하는 자같이 되었습니다.
