- And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
- And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
- And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
- Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
- And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

- さて， ある パリサイ 人が， いっしょに 食事をしたい， と イエス を 招いたので， その パリサイ 人の 家にはいって 食卓に 着かれた．
- すると， その 町にひとりの 罪深い 女がいて， イエス が パリサイ 人の 家で 食卓に 着いておられることを 知り， 香油のはいった 石膏のつぼを 持って 來て，
- 泣きながら， イエス のうしろで 御足のそばに 立ち， 淚で 御足をぬらし 始め， 髮の 毛でぬぐい， 御足に 口づけして， 香油を 塗った．
- イエス を 招いた パリサイ 人は， これを 見て， 「この 方がもし 預言者なら， 自分にさわっている 女がだれで， どんな 女であるか 知っておられるはずだ． この 女は 罪深い 者なのだから． 」と 心ひそかに 思っていた．
- すると イエス は， 彼に 向かって， 「シモン ． あなたに 言いたいことがあります． 」と 言われた． シモン は， 「先生． お 話しください． 」と 言った．

- There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
- And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
- Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
- And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
- Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

- 「ある 金貸しから， ふたりの 者が 金を 借りていた． ひとりは 五百 デナリ ， ほかのひとりは 五十 デナリ 借りていた．
- 彼らは 返すことができなかったので， 金貸しはふたりとも 赦してやった． では， ふたりのうちどちらがよけいに 金貸しを 愛するようになるでしょうか． 」
- シモン が， 「よけいに 赦してもらったほうだと 思います． 」と 答えると， イエス は， 「あなたの 判斷は 當たっています． 」と 言われた．
- そしてその 女のほうを 向いて， シモン に 言われた． 「この 女を 見ましたか． わたしがこの 家にはいって 來たとき， あなたは 足を 洗う 水をくれなかったが， この 女は， 淚でわたしの 足をぬらし， 髮の 毛でぬぐってくれました．
- あなたは， 口づけしてくれなかったが， この 女は， わたしがはいって 來たときから 足に 口づけしてやめませんでした．

- My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
- Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
- And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
- And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
- And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

- あなたは， わたしの 頭に 油を 塗ってくれなかったが， この 女は， わたしの 足に 香油を 塗ってくれました．
- だから， わたしは 言うのです． 『この 女の 多くの 罪は 赦されています． というのは， 彼女はよけい 愛したからです． しかし 少ししか 赦されない 者は， 少ししか 愛しません． 』」
- そして 女に， 「あなたの 罪は 赦されています． 」と 言われた．
- すると， いっしょに 食卓にいた 人たちは， 心の 中でこう 言い 始めた． 「罪を 赦したりするこの 人は， いったいだれだろう． 」
- しかし， イエス は 女に 言われた． 「あなたの 信仰が， あなたを 救ったのです． 安心して 行きなさい． 」
