- Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
- For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
- And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
- In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
- Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

- あのむなしい， だましごとの 哲學によってだれのとりこにもならぬよう， 注意しなさい． そのようなものは， 人の 言い 傳えによるものであり， この 世に 屬する 幼稚な 敎えによるものであって， キリスト に 基づくものではありません．
- キリスト のうちにこそ， 神の 滿ち 滿ちたご 性質が 形をとって 宿っています．
- そしてあなたがたは， キリスト にあって， 滿ち 滿ちているのです． キリスト はすべての 支配と 權威のかしらです．
- キリスト にあって， あなたがたは 人の 手によらない 割禮を 受けました． 肉のからだを 脫ぎ 捨て， キリスト の 割禮を 受けたのです．
- あなたがたは， バプテスマ によって キリスト とともに 葬られ， また， キリスト を 死者の 中からよみがえらせた 神の 力を 信じる 信仰によって， キリスト とともによみがえらされたのです．

- And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
- Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
- And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
- Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
- Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

- あなたがたは 罪によって， また 肉の 割禮がなくて 死んだ 者であったのに， 神は， そのようなあなたがたを， キリスト とともに 生かしてくださいました． それは， 私たちのすべての 罪を 赦し，
- いろいろな 定めのために 私たちに 不利な， いや， 私たちを 責め 立てている 債務證書を 無效にされたからです． 神はこの 證書を 取りのけ， 十字架に 釘づけにされました．
- 神は， キリスト において， すべての 支配と 權威の 武裝を 解除してさらしものとし， 彼らを 捕虜として 凱旋の 行列に 加えられました．
- こういうわけですから， 食べ 物と 飮み 物について， あるいは， 祭りや 新月や 安息日のことについて， だれにもあなたがたを 批評させてはなりません．
- これらは， 次に 來るものの 影であって， 本體は キリスト にあるのです．

- Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
- And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
- Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
- (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
- Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

- あなたがたは， ことさらに 自己卑下をしようとしたり， 御使い 禮拜をしようとする 者に， ほうびをだまし 取られてはなりません． 彼らは 幻を 見たことに 安住して， 肉の 思いによっていたずらに 誇り，
- かしらに 堅く 結びつくことをしません． このかしらがもとになり， からだ 全體は， 關節と 筋によって 養われ， 結び 合わされて， 神によって 成長させられるのです．
- もしあなたがたが， キリスト とともに 死んで， この 世の 幼稚な 敎えから 離れたのなら， どうして， まだこの 世の 生き 方をしているかのように，
- 「すがるな． 味わうな． さわるな． 」というような 定めに 縛られるのですか．
- そのようなものはすべて， 用いれば 滅びるものについてであって， 人間の 戒めと 敎えによるものです．

- Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

- そのようなものは， 人間の 好き 勝手な 禮拜とか， 謙遜とか， または， 肉體の 苦行などのゆえに 賢いもののように 見えますが， 肉のほしいままな 欲望に 對しては， 何のききめもないのです．
