- I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
- For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
- For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
- Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

- そこで， まず 初めに， このことを 勸めます． すべての 人のために， また 王とすべての 高い 地位にある 人たちのために 願い， 祈り， とりなし， 感謝がささげられるようにしなさい．
- それは， 私たちが 敬 ·に， また， 威嚴をもって， 平安で 靜かな 一生を 過ごすためです．
- そうすることは， 私たちの 救い 主である 神の 御前において 良いことであり， 喜ばれることなのです．
- 神は， すべての 人が 救われて， 眞理を 知るようになるのを 望んでおられます．
- 神は 唯一です． また， 神と 人との 間の 仲介者も 唯一であって， それは 人としての キリスト · イエス です．

- Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
- Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
- I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

- キリスト は， すべての 人の ·いの 代價として， ご 自身をお 與えになりました． これが 時至ってなされたあかしなのです．
- そのあかしのために， 私は 宣傳者また 使徒に 任じられ ··私は 眞實を 言っており， うそは 言いません． ··信仰と 眞理を 異邦人に 敎える 敎師とされました．
- ですから， 私は 願うのです． 男は， 怒ったり 言い 爭ったりすることなく， どこででもきよい 手を 上げて 祈るようにしなさい．
