- God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
- Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
- Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
- Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
- For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

- 神は， むかし 先祖たちに， 預言者たちを 通して， 多くの 部分に 分け， また， いろいろな 方法で 語られましたが，
- この 終わりの 時には， 御子によって， 私たちに 語られました． 神は， 御子を 万物の 相續者とし， また 御子によって 世界を 造られました．
- 御子は 神の 榮光の 輝き， また 神の 本質の 完全な 現われであり， その 力あるみことばによって 万物を 保っておられます． また， 罪のきよめを 成し 遂げて， すぐれて 高い 所の 大能者の 右の 座に 着かれました．
- 御子は， 御使いたちよりもさらにすぐれた 御名を 相續されたように， それだけ 御使いよりもまさるものとなられました．
- 神は， かつてどの 御使いに 向かって， こう 言われたでしょう． 「あなたは， わたしの 子． きょう， わたしがあなたを 生んだ． 」またさらに， 「わたしは 彼の 父となり， 彼はわたしの 子となる． 」

- And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
- And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
- But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
- Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
- And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

- さらに， 長子をこの 世界にお 送りになるとき， こう 言われました． 「神の 御使いはみな， 彼を 拜め． 」
- また 御使いについては， 「神は， 御使いたちを 風とし， 仕える 者たちを 炎とされる． 」と 言われましたが，
- 御子については， こう 言われます． 「神よ． あなたの 御座は 世¿限りなく， あなたの 御國の 杖こそ， まっすぐな 杖です．
- あなたは 義を 愛し， 不正を 憎まれます． それゆえ， 神よ． あなたの 神は， あふれるばかりの 喜びの 油を， あなたとともに 立つ 者にまして， あなたに 注ぎなさいました． 」
- またこう 言われます． 「主よ． あなたは， 初めに 地の 基を 据えられました． 天も， あなたの 御手のわざです．

- They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
- And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
- But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
- Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

- これらのものは 滅びます． しかし， あなたはいつまでもながらえられます． すべてのものは 着物のように 古びます．
- あなたはこれらを， 外套のように 卷かれます． これらを， 着物のように 取り 替えられます． しかし， あなたは 變わることがなく， あなたの 年は 盡きることがありません． 」
- 神は， かつてどの 御使いに 向かって， こう 言われたでしょう． 「わたしがあなたの 敵をあなたの 足台とするまでは， わたしの 右の 座に 着いていなさい． 」
- 御使いはみな， 仕える 靈であって， 救いの 相續者となる 人¿に 仕えるため 遣わされたのではありませんか．
