- By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
- He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
- A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
- Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

- 町は， 正しい 者が 榮えると， こおどりし， 惡者が 滅びると， 喜びの 聲をあげる．
- 直ぐな 人の 祝福によって， 町は 高くあげられ， 惡者の 口によって， 滅ぼされる．
- 隣人をさげすむ 者は 思慮に 欠けている． しかし 英知のある 者は 沈默を 守る．
- 步き 回って 人を 中傷する 者は 秘密を 漏らす． しかし 眞實な 心の 人は 事を 秘める．
- 指導がないことによって 民は 倒れ， 多くの 助言者によって 救いを 得る．
