- Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
- By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
- For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
- For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
- Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

- イエス が キリスト であると 信じる 者はだれでも， 神によって 生まれたのです． 生んでくださった 方を 愛する 者はだれでも， その 方によって 生まれた 者をも 愛します．
- 私たちが 神を 愛してその 命令を 守るなら， そのことによって， 私たちが 神の 子どもたちを 愛していることがわかります．
- 神を 愛するとは， 神の 命令を 守ることです． その 命令は 重荷とはなりません．
- なぜなら， 神によって 生まれた 者はみな， 世に 勝つからです． 私たちの 信仰， これこそ， 世に 打ち 勝った 勝利です．
- 世に 勝つ 者とはだれでしょう． イエス を 神の 御子と 信じる 者ではありませんか．

- This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
- For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
- And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
- If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
- He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

- この イエス · キリスト は， 水と 血とによって 來られた 方です． ただ 水によってだけでなく， 水と 血とによって 來られたのです． そして， あかしをする 方は 御靈です． 御靈は 眞理だからです．
- あかしするものが 三つあります．
- 御靈と 水と 血です． この 三つが 一つとなるのです．
- もし， 私たちが 人間のあかしを 受け 入れるなら， 神のあかしはそれにまさるものです． 御子についてあかしされたことが 神のあかしだからです．
- 神の 御子を 信じる 者は， このあかしを 自分の 心の 中に 持っています． 神を 信じない 者は， 神を 僞り 者とするのです． 神が 御子についてあかしされたことを 信じないからです．

- And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
- These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
- And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
- And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

- そのあかしとは， 神が 私たちに 永遠のいのちを 與えられたということ， そしてこのいのちが 御子のうちにあるということです．
- 御子を 持つ 者はいのちを 持っており， 神の 御子を 持たない 者はいのちを 持っていません．
- 私が 神の 御子の 名を 信じているあなたがたに 對してこれらのことを 書いたのは， あなたがたが 永遠のいのちを 持っていることを， あなたがたによくわからせるためです．
- 何事でも 神のみこころにかなう 願いをするなら， 神はその 願いを 聞いてくださるということ， これこそ 神に 對する 私たちの 確信です．
- 私たちの 願う 事を 神が 聞いてくださると 知れば， 神に 願ったその 事は， すでにかなえられたと 知るのです．

- If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
- All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
- We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
- And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
- And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

- だれでも 兄弟が 死に 至らない 罪を 犯しているのを 見たなら， 神に 求めなさい． そうすれば 神はその 人のために， 死に 至らない 罪を 犯している 人¿に， いのちをお 與えになります． 死に 至る 罪があります． この 罪については， 願うようにとは 言いません．
- 不正はみな 罪ですが ， 死に 至らない 罪があります．
- 神によって 生まれた 者はだれも 罪の 中に 生きないことを， 私たちは 知っています． 神から 生まれた 方が 彼を 守っていてくださるので， 惡い 者は 彼に 觸れることができないのです．
- 私たちは 神からの 者であり， 全世界は 惡い 者の 支配下にあることを 知っています．
- しかし， 神の 御子が 來て， 眞實な 方を 知る 理解力を 私たちに 與えてくださったことを 知っています． それで 私たちは， 眞實な 方のうちに， すなわち 御子 イエス · キリスト のうちにいるのです． この 方こそ， まことの 神， 永遠のいのちです．

- Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

- 子どもたちよ． 偶像を 警戒しなさい．
