- And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
- And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
- And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
- Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
- And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

- ある パリサイ 人が イエス に， 食事を 共にしたいと 申し 出たので， その パリサイ 人の 家にはいって 食卓に 着かれた．
- するとそのとき， その 町で 罪の 女であったものが， パリサイ 人の 家で 食卓に 着いておられることを 聞いて， 香油が 入れてある 石膏のつぼを 持ってきて，
- 泣きながら， イエス のうしろでその 足もとに 寄り， まず 淚で イエス の 足をぬらし， 自分の 髮の 毛でぬぐい， そして， その 足に 接吻して， 香油を 塗った．
- イエス を 招いた パリサイ 人がそれを 見て， 心の 中で 言った， 「もしこの 人が 預言者であるなら， 自分にさわっている 女がだれだか， どんな 女かわかるはずだ． それは 罪の 女なのだから 」．
- そこで イエス は 彼にむかって 言われた， 「シモン ， あなたに 言うことがある 」． 彼は「先生， おっしゃってください 」と 言った．

- There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
- And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
- Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
- And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
- Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

- イエス が 言われた， 「ある 金貸しに 金をかりた 人がふたりいたが， ひとりは 五百 デナリ ， もうひとりは 五十 デナリ を 借りていた．
- ところが， 返すことができなかったので， 彼はふたり 共ゆるしてやった． このふたりのうちで， どちらが 彼を 多く 愛するだろうか 」．
- シモン が 答えて 言った， 「多くゆるしてもらったほうだと 思います 」． イエス が 言われた， 「あなたの 判斷は 正しい 」．
- それから 女の 方に 振り 向いて， シモン に 言われた， 「この 女を 見ないか． わたしがあなたの 家にはいってきた 時に， あなたは 足を 洗う 水をくれなかった． ところが， この 女は 淚でわたしの 足をぬらし， 髮の 毛でふいてくれた．
- あなたはわたしに 接吻をしてくれなかったが， 彼女はわたしが 家にはいった 時から， わたしの 足に 接吻をしてやまなかった．

- My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
- Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
- And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
- And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
- And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

- あなたはわたしの 頭に 油を 塗ってくれなかったが， 彼女はわたしの 足に 香油を 塗ってくれた．
- それであなたに 言うが， この 女は 多く 愛したから， その 多くの 罪はゆるされているのである． 少しだけゆるされた 者は， 少しだけしか 愛さない 」．
- そして 女に， 「あなたの 罪はゆるされた 」と 言われた．
- すると 同席の 者たちが 心の 中で 言いはじめた， 「罪をゆるすことさえするこの 人は， いったい， 何者だろう 」．
- しかし， イエス は 女にむかって 言われた， 「あなたの 信仰があなたを 救ったのです． 安心して 行きなさい 」．
