- Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
- Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.
- So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
- David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
- In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.

- イスラエル のすべての 部族は ヘブロン にいる ダビデ のもとにきて 言った， 「われわれは， あなたの 骨肉です．
- 先に サウル がわれわれの 王であった 時にも， あなたは イスラエル を 率いて 出入りされました． そして 主はあなたに， 『あなたはわたしの 民 イスラエル を 牧するであろう． またあなたは イスラエル の 君となるであろう 』と 言われました 」．
- このように イスラエル の 長老たちが 皆， ヘブロン にいる 王のもとにきたので， ダビデ 王は ヘブロン で 主の 前に 彼らと 契約を 結んだ． そして 彼らは ダビデ に 油を 注いで イスラエル の 王とした．
- ダビデ は 王となったとき 三十歲で， 四十年の 間， 世を 治めた．
- すなわち ヘブロン で 七年六か 月 ユダ を 治め， また エルサレム で 三十三年， 全 イスラエル と ユダ を 治めた．

- And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.
- Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
- And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
- So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
- And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.

- 王とその 從者たちとは エルサレム へ 行って， その 地の 住民 エブス びとを 攻めた． エブス びとは ダビデ に 言った， 「あなたはけっして， ここに 攻め 入ることはできない． かえって， めしいや 足なえでも， あなたを 追い 拂うであろう 」． 彼らが「ダビデ はここに 攻め 入ることはできない 」と 思ったからである．
- ところが ダビデ は シオン の 要害を 取った． これが ダビデ の 町である．
- その 日 ダビデ は， 「だれでも エブス びとを 擊とうとする 人は， 水をくみ 上げる 縱穴を 上って 行って， ダビデ が 心に 憎んでいる 足なえやめしいを 擊て 」と 言った． それゆえに 人¿は， 「めしいや 足なえは， 宮にはいってはならない 」と 言いならわしている．
- ダビデ はその 要害に 住んで， これを ダビデ の 町と 名づけた． また ダビデ は ミロ から 內の 周圍に 城壁を 築いた．
- こうして ダビデ はますます 大いなる 者となり， かつ 万軍の 神， 主が 彼と 共におられた．

- And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.
- And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.
- And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
- And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammuah, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,
- Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

- ツロ の 王 ヒラム は ダビデ に 使者をつかわして， 香柏および 大工と 石工を 送った． 彼らは ダビデ のために 家を 建てた．
- そして ダビデ は 主が 自分を 堅く 立てて イスラエル の 王とされたこと， 主がその 民 イスラエル のためにその 王國を 興されたことを 悟った．
- ダビデ は ヘブロン からきて 後， さらに エルサレム で 妻とそばめを 入れたので， むすこと 娘がまた ダビデ に 生れた．

- And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
- But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
- The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
- And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
- And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.

- さて ペリシテ びとは， ダビデ が 油を 注がれて イスラエル の 王になったことを 聞き， みな 上ってきて ダビデ を 搜したが， ダビデ はそれを 聞いて 要害に 下って 行った．
- ペリシテ びとはきて， レパイム の 谷に 廣がっていた．
- ダビデ は 主に 問うて 言った， 「ペリシテ びとに 向かって 上るべきでしょうか． あなたは 彼らをわたしの 手に 渡されるでしょうか 」． 主は ダビデ に 言われた， 「上るがよい． わたしはかならず ペリシテ びとをあなたの 手に 渡すであろう 」．
- そこで ダビデ は バアル · ペラジム へ 行って， 彼らをその 所で 擊ち 破り， そして 言った， 「主は， 破り 出る 水のように， 敵をわたしの 前に 破られた 」． それゆえにその 所の 名は バアル · ペラジム と 呼ばれている．

- And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
- And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
- And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
- And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
- And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.

- ペリシテ びとはその 所に 彼らの 偶像を 捨てて 行ったので， ダビデ とその 從者たちはそれを 運び 去った．
- ペリシテ びとが， ふたたび 上ってきて， レパイム の 谷に 廣がったので，

- ダビデ は， 主が 命じられたようにして， ペリシテ びとを 擊ち， ゲバ から ゲゼル に 及んだ．
