- Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
- Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
- Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
- Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
- He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

- 暗黑と 深いやみの 中にいる 者， 苦しみと， くろがねに 縛られた 者，
- 彼らは 神の 言葉にそむき， いと 高き 者の 勸めを 輕んじたので，
- 主は 重い 勞¿をもって 彼らの 心を 低くされた． 彼らはつまずき 倒れても， 助ける 者がなかった．
- 彼らはその 惱みのうちに 主に 呼ばわったので， 主は 彼らをその 惱みから 救い，
- 暗黑と 深いやみから 彼らを 導き 出して， そのかせをこわされた．

- Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
- For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
- Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
- Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
- Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.

- どうか， 彼らが 主のいつくしみと， 人の 子らになされたくすしきみわざとのために， 主に 感謝するように．
- 主は 靑銅のとびらをこわし， 鐵の 貫の 木を 斷ち 切られたからである．
- ある 者はその 罪に 汚れた 行いによって 病み， その 不義のゆえに 惱んだ．
- 彼らはすべての 食物をきらって， 死の 門に 近づいた．
- 彼らはその 惱みのうちに 主に 呼ばわったので， 主は 彼らをその 惱みから 救い，

- He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
- Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
- And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

- そのみ 言葉をつかわして， 彼らをいやし， 彼らを 滅びから 助け 出された．
- どうか， 彼らが 主のいつくしみと， 人の 子らになされたくすしきみわざとのために， 主に 感謝するように．
- 彼らが 感謝のいけにえをささげ， 喜びの 歌をもって， そのみわざを 言いあらわすように．
