- Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
- For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
- And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
- In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
- Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

- あなたがたは， むなしいだましごとの 哲學で， 人のとりこにされないように， 氣をつけなさい． それは キリスト に 從わず， 世のもろもろの 靈力に 從う 人間の 言傳えに 基くものにすぎない．
- キリスト にこそ， 滿ちみちているいっさいの 神の 德が， かたちをとって 宿っており，
- そしてあなたがたは， キリスト にあって， それに 滿たされているのである． 彼はすべての 支配と 權威とのかしらであり，
- あなたがたはまた， 彼にあって， 手によらない 割禮， すなわち， キリスト の 割禮を 受けて， 肉のからだを 脫ぎ 捨てたのである．
- あなたがたは バプテスマ を 受けて 彼と 共に 葬られ， 同時に， 彼を 死人の 中からよみがえらせた 神の 力を 信じる 信仰によって， 彼と 共によみがえらされたのである．

- And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
- Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
- And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
- Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
- Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

- あなたがたは， 先には 罪の 中にあり， かつ 肉の 割禮がないままで 死んでいた 者であるが， 神は， あなたがたを キリスト と 共に 生かし， わたしたちのいっさいの 罪をゆるして 下さった．
- 神は， わたしたちを 責めて 不利におとしいれる 證書を， その 規定もろともぬり 消し， これを 取り 除いて， 十字架につけてしまわれた．
- そして， もろもろの 支配と 權威との 武裝を 解除し， キリスト にあって 凱旋し， 彼らをその 行列に 加えて， さらしものとされたのである．
- だから， あなたがたは， 食物と 飮み 物とにつき， あるいは 祭や 新月や 安息日などについて， だれにも 批評されてはならない．
- これらは， きたるべきものの 影であって， その 本體は キリスト にある．

- Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
- And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
- Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
- (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
- Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

- あなたがたは， わざとらしい 謙そんと 天使禮拜とにおぼれている 人¿から， いろいろと 惡評されてはならない． 彼らは 幻を 見たことを 重んじ， 肉の 思いによっていたずらに 誇るだけで，
- キリスト なるかしらに， しっかりと 着くことをしない． このかしらから 出て， からだ 全體は， 節と 節， 筋と 筋とによって 强められ 結び 合わされ， 神に 育てられて 成長していくのである．
- もしあなたがたが， キリスト と 共に 死んで 世のもろもろの 靈力から 離れたのなら， なぜ， なおこの 世に 生きているもののように，
- 「さわるな， 味わうな， 觸れるな 」などという 規定に 縛られているのか．
- これらは 皆， 使えば 盡きてしまうもの， 人間の 規定や 敎によっているものである．

- Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

- これらのことは， ひとりよがりの 禮拜とわざとらしい 謙そんと， からだの 苦行とをともなうので， 知惠のあるしわざらしく 見えるが， 實は， ほしいままな 肉欲を 防ぐのに， なんの 役にも 立つものではない．
