- Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
- Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
- I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
- For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
- And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.

- 「この エドム から 來る 者， 深紅の 衣を 着て， ボズラ から 來る 者はだれか． その 裝いは， はなやかに， 大いなる 力をもって 進み 來る 者はだれか 」． 「義をもって 語り， 救を 施す 力あるわたしがそれだ 」．
- 「何ゆえあなたの 裝いは 赤く， あなたの 衣は 酒ぶねを 踏む 者のように 赤いのか 」．
- 「わたしはひとりで 酒ぶねを 踏んだ． もろもろの 民のなかに， わたしと 事を 共にする 者はなかった． わたしは 怒りによって 彼らを 踏み， 憤りによって 彼らを 踏みにじったので， 彼らの 血がわが 衣にふりかかり， わが 裝いをことごとく 汚した．
- 報復の 日がわが 心のうちにあり， わがあがないの 年が 來たからである．
- わたしは 見たけれども， 助ける 者はなく， 怪しんだけれども， ささえる 者はなかった． それゆえ， わがかいながわたしを 勝たせ， わが 憤りがわたしをささえた．

- And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
- I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
- For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.
- In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
- But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

- わたしは 怒りによって， もろもろの 民を 踏みにじり， 憤りによって 彼らを 醉わせ， 彼らの 血を， 地に 流れさせた 」．
- わたしは 主がわれわれになされた ／すべてのことによって， 主のいつくしみと， 主の 譽とを 語り 告げ， また， そのあわれみにより， その 多くのいつくしみによって， イスラエル の 家に 施されたその ／大いなる 惠みを 語り 告げよう．
- 主は 言われた， 「まことに 彼らはわが 民， 僞りのない 子らである 」と． そして 主は 彼らの 救主となられた．
- 彼らのすべての 惱みのとき， 主も 惱まれて， そのみ 前の 使をもって 彼らを 救い， その 愛とあわれみとによって 彼らをあがない， いにしえの 日， つねに 彼らをもたげ， 彼らを 携えられた．
- ところが 彼らはそむいて ／その 聖なる 靈を 憂えさせたので， 主はひるがえって 彼らの 敵となり， みずから 彼らと 戰われた．

- Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
- That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
- That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?
- As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
- Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?

- その 時， 民はいにしえの モ ― セ の 日を ／思い 出して 言った， 「その 群れの 牧者を， 海から 携えあげた 者はどこにいるか． 彼らの 中に 聖なる 靈をおいた 者はどこにいるか．
- 榮光のかいなを モ ― セ の 右に 行かせ， 彼らの 前に 水を 二つに 分けて， みずから， とこしえの 名をつくり，
- 彼らを 導いて， 馬が 野を 走るように， つまずくことなく 淵を 通らせた 者はどこにいるか．
- 谷にくだる 家畜のように， 主の 靈は 彼らをいこわせられた． このように， あなたはおのれの 民を 導いて ／みずから 榮光の 名をつくられた 」．
- どうか， 天から 見おろし， その 聖なる 榮光あるすみかからごらんください． あなたの 熱心と， 大能とはどこにありますか． あなたのせつなる 同情とあわれみとは ／おさえられて， わたしにあらわれません．

- Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
- O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
- The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
- We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.

- たとい アブラハム がわれわれを 知らず， イスラエル がわれわれを 認めなくても， あなたはわれわれの 父です． 主よ， あなたはわれわれの 父， いにしえからあなたの 名は ／われわれのあながい 主です．
- 主よ， なぜ， われわれをあなたの 道から 離れ 迷わせ， われわれの 心をかたくなにして， あなたを 恐れないようにされるのですか． どうぞ， あなたのしもべらのために， あなたの 嗣業である 部族らのために， お 歸りください．
- あなたの 聖なる 民が， あなたの 聖所を 獲て 間もないのに， われわれのあだは， それを 踏みにじりました．
- われわれはあなたによって， いにしえから 治められない 者のようになり， あなたの 名をもって， となえられない 者のようになりました．
