- The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
- It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
- The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
- As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
- As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

- 主の 祝福は 人を 富ませる， 主はこれになんの 悲しみをも 加えない．
- 愚かな 者は， 戱れ 事のように 惡を 行う， さとき 人には 賢い 行いが 樂しみである．
- 惡しき 者の 恐れることは 自分に 來り， 正しい 者の 願うことは 與えられる．
- あらしが 通りすぎる 時， 惡しき 者は， もはや， いなくなり， 正しい 者は 永久に 堅く 立てられる．
- なまけ 者は， これをつかわす 者にとっては， 酢が 齒をいため， 煙が 目を 惱ますようなものだ．
