- God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
- Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
- Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
- Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
- For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

- 神は， むかしは， 預言者たちにより， いろいろな 時に， いろいろな 方法で， 先祖たちに 語られたが，
- この 終りの 時には， 御子によって， わたしたちに 語られたのである． 神は 御子を 万物の 相續者と 定め， また， 御子によって， もろもろの 世界を 造られた．
- 御子は 神の 榮光の 輝きであり， 神の 本質の 眞の 姿であって， その 力ある 言葉をもって 万物を 保っておられる． そして 罪のきよめのわざをなし 終えてから， いと 高き 所にいます 大能者の 右に， 座につかれたのである．
- 御子は， その 受け 繼がれた 名が 御使たちの 名にまさっているので， 彼らよりもすぐれた 者となられた．
- いったい， 神は 御使たちのだれに 對して， ／「あなたこそは， わたしの 子． きょう， わたしはあなたを 生んだ 」／と 言い， さらにまた， ／「わたしは 彼の 父となり， ／彼はわたしの 子となるであろう 」／と 言われたことがあるか．

- And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
- And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
- But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
- Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
- And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

- さらにまた， 神は， その 長子を 世界に 導き 入れるに 當って， ／「神の 御使たちはことごとく， 彼を 拜すべきである 」／と 言われた．
- また， 御使たちについては， ／「神は， 御使たちを 風とし， ／ご 自分に 仕える 者たちを 炎とされる 」／と 言われているが，
- 御子については， ／「神よ， あなたの 御座は， 世¿限りなく 續き， ／あなたの 支配のつえは， 公平のつえである．
- あなたは 義を 愛し， 不法を 憎まれた． それゆえに， 神， あなたの 神は， 喜びのあぶらを， ／あなたの 友に 注ぐよりも 多く， あなたに 注がれた 」／と 言い，
- さらに， ／「主よ， あなたは 初めに， 地の 基をおすえになった． もろもろの 天も， み 手のわざである．

- They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
- And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
- But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
- Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

- これらのものは 滅びてしまうが， ／あなたは， いつまでもいますかたである． すべてのものは 衣のように 古び，
- それらをあなたは， 外套のように 卷かれる． これらのものは， 衣のように 變るが， ／あなたは， いつも 變ることがなく， ／あなたのよわいは， 盡きることがない 」／とも 言われている．
- 神は， 御使たちのだれに 對して， ／「あなたの 敵を， あなたの 足台とするときまでは， ／わたしの 右に 座していなさい 」／と 言われたことがあるか．
- 御使たちはすべて 仕える 靈であって， 救を 受け 繼ぐべき 人¿に 奉仕するため， つかわされたものではないか．
