말라기

  포로기 이후 이스라엘 백성들은 영적, 물질적으로 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 귀환 후 성전이 재건되었지만, 귀환할 때의 기대처럼 영광스러운 하나님의 나라가 이룩되지 않는 데 대한 실망과 회의로 인하여 사회적으로 냉소주의와 불신앙이 팽배하게 되었다. 제사장들은 타락하고, 십일조와 헌물을 소홀하게 여겼으며, 이방 여인과 결혼함으로써 결혼에 대한 계약을 범했다. 이에 말라기는 종교적 부흥을 일으키기 위해 이스라엘 백성들의 불경건한 신앙을 집중적으로 책망하면서, 하나님의 심판을 경고하고 참다운 회개를 촉구하고 있다.

  말라기는 이스라엘을 향한 하나님의 무조건적인 사랑을 증거한 후, 이러한 하나님의 사랑을 배반하고 타락한 이스라엘을 책망하고 하나님의 심판을 경고하고 있다. 또한 심판의 날이 이르기 전에 엘리야와 같은 선지자, 즉 세례 요한이 주의 길을 예비할 것임을 예언하고 있다.

 

 

말라기 1:1-2:17

 말라기는 무한한 하나님의 사랑을 의심하고 죄에 빠진 이스라엘을 향해 하나님의 책망을 전하였다. 그는 영적 지도자로서의 본분을 다하지 않고 흠 있는 제물로 형식적인 제사를 드리는 제사장들의 죄악을 지적하면서 이들에 대한 하나님의 저주의 심판을 선포하였다. 이어 이혼이나 이방 여인과의 통혼을 즐겨 하고 공의의 하나님을 의심하는 이스라엘 백성들의 죄를 지적하였다.
  
  이스라엘의 죄(1:1-2:17)    
 
  1. The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
  2. I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
  3. And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
  4. Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.
  5. And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
  1. マラキ によって イスラエル に 臨んだ 主の 言葉の 託宣．
  2. 主は 言われる， 「わたしはあなたがたを 愛した 」と． ところがあなたがたは 言う， 「あなたはどんなふうに， われわれを 愛されたか 」． 主は 言われる， 「エサウ は ヤコブ の 兄ではないか． しかしわたしは ヤコブ を 愛し，
  3. エサウ を 憎んだ． かつ， わたしは 彼の 山地を 荒し， その 嗣業を 荒野の 山犬に 與えた 」．
  4. もし エドム が「われわれは 滅ぼされたけれども， 荒れた 所を 再び 建てる 」と 言うならば， 万軍の 主は「彼らは 建てるかもしれない． しかしわたしはそれを 倒す． 人¿は， 彼らを 惡しき 國ととなえ， とこしえに 主の 怒りをうける 民ととなえる 」と 言われる．
  5. あなたがたの 目はこれを 見て， 「主は イスラエル の 境を 越えて 大いなる 神である 」と 言うであろう．
  1. A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
  2. Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.
  3. And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.
  4. And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.
  5. Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
  1. 「子はその 父を 敬い， しもべはその 主人を 敬う． それでわたしがもし 父であるならば， あなたがたのわたしを 敬う 事實が， どこにあるか． わたしがもし 主人であるならば， わたしを 恐れる 事實が， どこにあるか． わたしの 名を 侮る 祭司たちよ， と 万軍の 主はあなたがたに 言われる． ところがあなたがたは『われわれはどんなふうにあなたの 名を 侮ったか 』と 言い，
  2. 汚れた 食物をわたしの 祭壇の 上にささげる． またあなたがたは， 主の 台は 卑しむべき 物であると 考えて， 『われわれはどんなふうに， それを 汚したか 』と 言う．
  3. あなたがたが 盲目の ¿を， ¿牲にささげるのは 惡い 事ではないか． また 足のなえたもの， 病めるものをささげるのは 惡い 事ではないか． 今これをあなたのつかさにささげてみよ． 彼はあなたを 喜び， あなたを 受けいれるであろうかと， 万軍の 主は 言われる．
  4. あなたがたは， 神がわれわれをあわれまれるように， 神の 惠みを 求めてみよ． このようなあなたがたの 手のささげ 物をもって， 彼はあなたがたを 受けいれられるであろうかと， 万軍の 主は 言われる．
  5. あなたがたがわが 祭壇の 上にいたずらに， 火をたくことのないように 戶を 閉じる 者があなたがたのうちに， ひとりあったらいいのだが． わたしはあなたがたを 喜ばない， またあなたがたの 手からささげ 物を 受けないと， 万軍の 主は 言われる．
  1. For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
  2. But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.
  3. Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.
  4. But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the LORD a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.
  1. 日の 出る 所から ¿する 所まで， 國¿のうちにわが 名はあがめられている． また， どこでも 香と 淸いささげ 物が， わが 名のためにささげられる． これはわが 名が 國¿のうちにあがめられているからであると， 万軍の 主は 言われる．
  2. ところがあなたがたは， 主の 台は 汚れている， またこの 食物は 卑しむべき 物であると 言って， これを 汚した．
  3. あなたがたはまた『これはなんと 煩わしい 事か 』と 言って， わたしを 鼻であしらうと， 万軍の 主は 言われる． あなたがたはまた 奪った 物， 足なえのもの， 病めるものを， ささげ 物として 携えて 來る． わたしはそれを， あなたがたの 手から， 受けるであろうかと 主は 言われる．
  4. 群れのうちに 雄の ¿があり， それをささげると 誓いを 立てているのに， 傷のあるものを， 主にささげる 僞り 者はのろわれる． わたしは 大いなる 王で， わが 名は 國¿のうちに 恐れられるべきであると， 万軍の 主は 言われる．
 
 
  1. And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
  2. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
  3. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
  4. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
  5. My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
  1. 祭司たちよ， 今この 命令があなたがたに 與えられる．
  2. 万軍の 主は 言われる， あなたがたがもし 聞き 從わず， またこれを 心に 留めず， わが 名に 榮光を 歸さないならば， わたしはあなたがたの 上に， のろいを 送り， またあなたがたの 祝福をのろいに 變える． あなたがたは， これを 心に 留めないので， わたしはすでにこれをのろった．
  3. 見よ， わたしはあなたがたの 子孫を 責める． またあなたがたの ¿牲の 糞を， あなたがたの 顔の 上にまき 散らし， あなたがたをわたしの 前から 退ける．
  4. こうしてわたしが， この 命令をあなたがたに 與えたのは， レビ と 結んだわが 契約が， 保たれるためであることを， あなたがたが 知るためであると， 万軍の 主は 言われる．
  5. 彼と 結んだわが 契約は， 生命と 平安との 契約であって， わたしがこれを 彼に 與えたのは， 彼にわたしを 恐れさせるためである． 彼はすでにわたしを 恐れ， わが 名の 前におののいた．
  1. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
  2. For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
  3. But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.
  4. Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
  5. Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
  1. 彼の 口には， まことの 律法があり， そのくちびるには， 不義が 見られなかった． 彼は 平安と 公義とをもって， わたしと 共に 步み， また 多くの 人を 不義から 立ち 返らせた．
  2. 祭司のくちびるは 知識を 保ち， 人¿が 彼の 口から 律法を 尋ねるのが 當然である． 彼は 万軍の 主の 使者だからだ．
  3. ところが， あなたがたは 道を 離れ， 多くの 人を 敎えてつまずかせ， レビ の 契約を 破ったと， 万軍の 主は 言われる．
  4. あなたがたはわたしの 道を 守らず， 律法を 敎えるに 當って， 人にかたよったがために， あなたがたをすべての 民の 前に 侮られ， 卑しめられるようにする 」．
  5. われわれの 父は 皆一つではないか． われわれを 造った 神は 一つではないか． なにゆえ， われわれは 先祖たちの 契約を 破って， おのおのその 兄弟に 僞りを 行うのか．
  1. Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.
  2. The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
  3. And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.
  4. Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
  5. And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
  1. ユダ は 僞りを 行い， イスラエル および エルサレム の 中には 憎むべき 事が 行われた． すなわち ユダ は 主が 愛しておられる 聖所を 汚して， 他の 神に 仕える 女をめとった．
  2. どうか， 主がこうした 事を 行う 人をば， 證言する 者も， 答弁する 者も， また 万軍の 主にささげ 物をする 者をも， ヤコブ の 幕屋から 斷たれるように．
  3. あなたがたはまたこのような 事をする． すなわち 神がもはやささげ 物をかえりみず， またこれをあなたがたの 手から， 喜んで 受けられないために， あなたがたは 淚と， 泣くことと， 嘆きとをもって， 主の 祭壇をおおい，
  4. 「なぜ 神は 受けられないのか 」と 尋ねる． これは 主があなたと， あなたの 若い 時の 妻との 間の， 契約の 證人だったからである． 彼女は， あなたの 連れ 合い， 契約によるあなたの 妻であるのに， あなたは 彼女を 裏切った．
  5. 一つ 神は， われわれのために 命の 靈を 造り， これをささえられたではないか． 彼は 何を 望まれるか． 神を 敬う 子孫であるゆえ， あなたがたはみずから 愼んで， その 若い 時の 妻を 裏切ってはならない．
  1. For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
  2. Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
  1. イスラエル の 神， 主は 言われる， 「わたしは 離緣する 者を 憎み， また， しえたげをもってその 衣をおおう 人を 憎むと， 万軍の 主は 言われる． ゆえにみずから 愼んで， 裏切ることをしてはならない 」．
  2. あなたがたは 言葉をもって 主を 煩わした． しかしあなたがたは 言う， 「われわれはどんなふうに， 彼を 煩わしたか 」． それはあなたがたが「すべて 惡を 行う 者は 主の 目に 良く 見え， かつ 彼に 喜ばれる 」と 言い， また「さばきを 行う 神はどこにあるか 」と 言うからである．
