- The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
- Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
- The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
- Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
- Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

- アモツ の 子 イザヤ が， ユダ と エルサレム について 見た 幻． これは ユダ の 王， ウジヤ ， ヨタム ， アハズ ， ヒゼキヤ の 治世のことである．
- 天よ 聞け， 地よ 耳を 傾けよ， 主が 語られる． わたしは 子らを 育てて 大きくした． しかし， 彼らはわたしに 背いた．
- 牛は 飼い 主を 知り ／ろばは 主人の 飼い 葉桶を 知っている． しかし， イスラエル は 知らず ／わたしの 民は 見分けない．
- 災いだ， 罪を 犯す 國， 咎の 重い 民 ／惡を 行う 者の 子孫， 墮落した 子らは． 彼らは 主を 捨て ／ イスラエル の 聖なる 方を 侮り， 背を 向けた．
- 何故， お 前たちは 背きを 重ね ／なおも 打たれようとするのか ／頭は 病み， 心臟は 衰えているのに．

- From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
- Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
- And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
- Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
- Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

- 頭から 足の 裏まで， 滿足なところはない． 打ち 傷， 鞭のあと， 生傷は ／ぬぐわれず， 包まれず ／油で 和らげてもらえない．
- お 前たちの 地は 荒廢し， 町¿は 燒き 拂われ ／田畑の 實りは， お 前たちの 目の 前で ／異國の 民が 食い 盡くし ／異國の 民に 覆されて， 荒廢している．
- そして， 娘 シオン が 殘った ／包圍された 町として． ぶどう 畑の 假小屋のように ／きゅうり 畑の 見張り 小屋のように．
- もし， 万軍の 主がわたしたちのために ／わずかでも 生存者を 殘されなかったなら ／わたしたちは ソドム のようになり ／ ゴモラ に 似たものとなっていたであろう．
- ソドム の 支配者らよ， 主の 言葉を 聞け． ゴモラ の 民よ ／わたしたちの 神の 敎えに 耳を 傾けよ．

- To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
- When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
- Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
- Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
- And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

- お 前たちのささげる 多くのいけにえが ／わたしにとって 何になろうか， と 主は 言われる． 雄羊や 肥えた ¿の 脂肪の 獻げ 物に ／わたしは 飽いた． 雄牛， 小羊， 雄山羊の 血をわたしは 喜ばない．
- こうしてわたしの 顔を 仰ぎ 見に 來るが ／誰がお 前たちにこれらのものを 求めたか ／わたしの 庭を 踏み 荒らす 者よ．
- むなしい 獻げ 物を 再び 持って 來るな． 香の 煙はわたしの 忌み 嫌うもの． 新月祭， 安息日， 祝祭など ／災いを 伴う 集いにわたしは 耐ええない．
- お 前たちの 新月祭や， 定められた 日の 祭りを ／わたしは 憎んでやまない． それはわたしにとって， 重荷でしかない． それを 擔うのに 疲れ 果てた．
- お 前たちが 手を 廣げて 祈っても， わたしは 目を 覆う． どれほど 祈りを 繰り 返しても， 決して 聞かない． お 前たちの 血にまみれた 手を

- Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
- Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
- Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
- If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
- But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

- 洗って， 淸くせよ． 惡い 行いをわたしの 目の 前から 取り 除け． 惡を 行うことをやめ
- 善を 行うことを 學び ／裁きをどこまでも 實行して ／搾取する 者を 懲らし， 孤兒の 權利を 守り ／やもめの 訴えを 弁護せよ．
- 論じ 合おうではないか， と 主は 言われる． たとえ， お 前たちの 罪が 緋のようでも ／雪のように 白くなることができる． たとえ， 紅のようであっても ／羊の 毛のようになることができる．
- お 前たちが 進んで 從うなら ／大地の 實りを 食べることができる．
- かたくなに 背くなら， 劍の 餌食になる． 主の 口がこう 宣言される．

- How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
- Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
- Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
- Therefore saith the LORD, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
- And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:

- どうして， 遊女になってしまったのか ／忠實であった 町が． そこには 公平が 滿ち， 正義が 宿っていたのに ／今では 人殺しばかりだ．
- お 前の 銀は 金滓となり ／良いぶどう 酒は 水で 薄められている．
- 支配者らは 無慈悲で， 盜人の 仲間となり ／皆， 賄賂を 喜び， 贈り 物を 强要する． 孤兒の 權利は 守られず ／やもめの 訴えは 取り 上げられない．
- それゆえ， 主なる 万軍の 神 ／ イスラエル の 力ある 方は 言われる． 災いだ ／わたしは 逆らう 者を 必ず 罰し ／敵對する 者に 報復する．
- わたしは 手を 飜し ／灰汁をもってお 前の 滓を 溶かし ／不純なものをことごとく 取り 去る．

- And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
- Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
- And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
- For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
- For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.

- また， 裁きを 行う 者を 初めのときのように ／參議を 最初のときのようにする． その 後に， お 前は 正義の 都 ／忠實な 町と 呼ばれるであろう．
- シオン は 裁きをとおして ·われ ／悔い 改める 者は 惠みの 御業によって ·われる．
- 背く 者と 罪人は 共に 打ち ¿かれ ／主を 捨てる 者は 斷たれる．
- 慕っていた ¿の 木のゆえにお 前たちは 恥を 受け ／喜びとしていた 園のゆえに 嘲られる．
- お 前たちは 葉のしおれた ¿の 木のように ／水の ¿れた 園のようになる．

- And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
|
- 强い 者も 麻の 屑となり， その 行いは 火花となり ／共に 燃え 上がり， 消す 者はいない．
