- Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
- She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
- She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
- Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
- Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.

- 知惠は 家を 建て， 七本の 柱を 刻んで 立てた．
- ¿を 屠り， 酒を 調合し， 食卓を 整え
- はしためを 町の 高い 所に 遣わして ／呼びかけさせた．
- 「淺はかな 者はだれでも 立ち 寄るがよい． 」意志の 弱い 者にはこう 言った．
- 「わたしの パン を 食べ ／わたしが 調合した 酒を 飮むがよい

- Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
- He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
- Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
- Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
- The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

- 淺はかさを 捨て， 命を 得るために ／分別の 道を 進むために． 」
- 不遜な 者を 諭しても 侮られるだけだ． 神に 逆らう 者を 戒めても 自分が 傷を 負うだけだ．
- 不遜な 者を 叱るな， 彼はあなたを 憎むであろう． 知惠ある 人を 叱れ， 彼はあなたを 愛するであろう．
- 知惠ある 人に 與えれば， 彼は 知惠を 增す． 神に 從う 人に 知惠を 與えれば， 彼は 說得力を 增す．
- 主を 畏れることは 知惠の 初め ／聖なる 方を 知ることは 分別の 初め．

- For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
- If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

- わたしによって， あなたの 命の 日¿も ／その 年月も 增す．
- あなたに 知惠があるなら， それはあなたのもの． 不遜であるなら， その 咎は 獨りで 負うのだ．
