- Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
- To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

- 人¿に， 次のことを 思い 起こさせなさい． 支配者や 權威者に 服し， これに 從い， すべての 善い 業を 行う 用意がなければならないこと，
- また， だれをもそしらず， 爭いを 好まず， 寬容で， すべての 人に 心から 優しく 接しなければならないことを．
- わたしたち 自身もかつては， 無分別で， 不從順で， 道に 迷い， 種¿の 情欲と 快樂のとりことなり， 惡意とねたみを 抱いて 暮らし， 忌み 嫌われ， 憎み 合っていたのです．
- しかし， わたしたちの 救い 主である 神の 慈しみと， 人間に 對する 愛とが 現れたときに，
- 神は， わたしたちが 行った 義の 業によってではなく， 御自分の 憐れみによって， わたしたちを 救ってくださいました． この 救いは， 聖靈によって 新しく 生まれさせ， 新たに 造りかえる 洗いを 通して 實現したのです．

- Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
- That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
- This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
- But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
- A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

- 神は， わたしたちの 救い 主 イエス · キリスト を 通して， この 聖靈をわたしたちに 豊かに 注いでくださいました．
- こうしてわたしたちは， キリスト の 惠みによって 義とされ， 希望どおり 永遠の 命を 受け 繼ぐ 者とされたのです．
- この 言葉は 眞實です． あなたがこれらのことを 力强く 主張するように， わたしは 望みます． そうすれば， 神を 信じるようになった 人¿が， 良い 行いに 勵もうと 心がけるようになります． これらは 良いことであり， 人¿に 有益です．
- 愚かな 議論， 系圖の 詮索， 爭い， 律法についての 論議を 避けなさい． それは 無益で， むなしいものだからです．
- 分裂を 引き 起こす 人には 一， 二度訓戒し， 從わなければ， かかわりを 持たないようにしなさい．

- Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
- When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
- Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
- And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
