- The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
- A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.
- He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
- A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

- 神に 逆らう 者は 覆って 滅びる． 神に 從う 人の 家は 耐える．
- 人は 見識のゆえに 賞贊される． 心がいじけている 者は 侮られる．
- 輕蔑されていても 僕を 持っている 方が ／尊敬されていて パン を 欠くよりよい．
- 神に 從う 人は 家畜の 求めるものすら 知っている． 神に 逆らう 者は 同情すら 殘酷だ．
