- Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
- Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD's controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.
- O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.
- For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
- O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.

- 聞け， 主の 言われることを． 立って， 告發せよ， 山¿の 前で． 峰¿にお 前の 聲を 聞かせよ．
- 聞け， 山¿よ， 主の 告發を． とこしえの 地の 基よ． 主は 御自分の 民を 告發し ／ イスラエル と 爭われる．
- 「わが 民よ． わたしはお 前に 何をしたというのか． 何をもってお 前を 疲れさせたのか． わたしに 答えよ．
- わたしはお 前を エジプト の 國から 導き 上り ／奴隷の 家から ·った． また， モ ― セ と アロン と ミリアム を ／お 前の 前に 遣わした．
- わが 民よ， 思い 起こすがよい． モアブ の 王 バラク が 何をたくらみ ／ ベオル の 子 バラム がそれに 何と 答えたかを． シティム から ギルガル までのことを 思い 起こし ／主の 惠みの 御業をわきまえるがよい． 」

- Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
- Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
- He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
- The LORD's voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
- Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?

- 何をもって， わたしは 主の 御前に 出で ／いと 高き 神にぬかずくべきか． 燒き 盡くす 獻げ 物として ／當歲の 子牛をもって 御前に 出るべきか．
- 主は 喜ばれるだろうか ／幾千の 雄羊， 幾万の 油の 流れを． わが 咎を 償うために 長子を ／自分の 罪のために 胎の 實をささげるべきか．
- 人よ， 何が 善であり ／主が 何をお 前に 求めておられるかは ／お 前に 告げられている． 正義を 行い， 慈しみを 愛し ／へりくだって 神と 共に 步むこと， これである．
- 主の 御聲は 都に 向かって 呼ばわる． 御名を 畏れ 敬うことこそ 賢明である． 聞け， ユダ の 部族とその 集會よ．
- まだ， わたしは 忍ばねばならないのか ／神に 逆らう 者の 家， 不正に 蓄えた 富 ／呪われた， 容量の 足りない 升を．

- Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?
- For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
- Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.
- Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.
- Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.

- わたしは 認めえようか ／不正な 天秤， 僞りの 重り 石の 袋を．
- 都の 金持ちは 不法で 滿ち， 住民は 僞りを 語る． 彼らの 口には 欺く 舌がある．
- わたしも， お 前を 擊って 病氣にかからせ ／罪のゆえに 滅ぼす．
- お 前は 食べても 飽くことなく， 空腹が 取りつく． 持ち 物を 運び 出しても， それを 救いえず ／救い 出しても， わたしはそれを 劍に 渡す．
- お 前は 種を 蒔いても， 刈り 入れることなく ／ オリ ― ブ の 實を 踏んでも ／その 油を 身に 塗ることはない． 新しいぶどうを 搾っても ／その 酒を 飮むことはない．

- For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.
