  1. And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
  2. And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
  3. And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
  4. Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
  5. And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
  1. While they were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, "Take it; this is My body."
  2. And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
  3. And He said to them, "This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.
  4. "Truly I say to you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God."
  5. After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
  1. And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
  2. But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
  3. But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.
  4. And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.
  5. But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.
  1. And Jesus said to them, "You will all fall away, because it is written, 'I WILL STRIKE DOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP SHALL BE SCATTERED.'
  2. "But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee."
  3. But Peter said to Him, "Even though all may fall away, yet I will not."
  4. And Jesus said to him, "Truly I say to you, that this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you yourself will deny Me three times."
  5. But Peter kept saying insistently, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And they all were saying the same thing also.
  1. And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
  2. And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
  3. And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.
  4. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
  5. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
  1. They came to a place named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, "Sit here until I have prayed."
  2. And He took with Him Peter and James and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled.
  3. And He said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch."
  4. And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by.
  5. And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will."
  1. And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
  2. Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
  3. And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.
  4. And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.
  5. And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
  1. And He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?
  2. "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
  3. Again He went away and prayed, saying the same words.
  4. And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him.
  5. And He came the third time, and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough; the hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.
  1. Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
  2. And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
  3. And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.
  4. And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.
  5. And they laid their hands on him, and took him.
  1. "Get up, let us be going; behold, the one who betrays Me is at hand!"
  2. Immediately while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, came up accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs, who were from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
  3. Now he who was betraying Him had given them a signal, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him and lead Him away under guard."
  4. After coming, Judas immediately went to Him, saying, "Rabbi!" and kissed Him.
  5. They laid hands on Him and seized Him.
  1. And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
  2. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
  3. I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
  4. And they all forsook him, and fled.
  5. And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him:
  1. But one of those who stood by drew his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his ear.
  2. And Jesus said to them, "Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me, as you would against a robber?
  3. "Every day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me; but this has taken place to fulfill the Scriptures."
  4. And they all left Him and fled.
  5. A young man was following Him, wearing nothing but a linen sheet over his naked body; and they seized him.
  1. And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
  1. But he pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked.
