- But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
- Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
- Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
- Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
- Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.

- 그러나 이제는 주님께서 우리를 버려, 치욕을 당하게 하시며, 우리 군대와 함께 출전하지 않으셨습니다.
- 주님께서 우리를 적에게서 밀려나게 하시니, 우리를 미워하는 자들이 마음껏 우리를 약탈하였습니다.
- 주님께서 우리를 잡아먹힐 양처럼 그들에게 넘겨 주시고, 여러 나라에 흩으셨습니다.
- 주님께서 주님의 백성을 헐값으로 파시니, 그들을 팔아 이익을 얻은 것이 아무것도 없습니다.
- 주님께서 우리를 이웃의 조롱거리로 만드시고, 주위 사람들의 조롱거리와 웃음거리로 만드십니다.

- Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
- My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
- For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.
- All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
- Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;

- 주님께서 우리를 여러 나라의 이야기거리가 되게 하시고, 여러 민족의 조소거리가 되게 하십니다.
- 내가 받은 치욕이 온종일 나를 따라다니고, 부끄러워서 얼굴을 들 수조차 없습니다.
- 이것은 나를 조롱하는 자와 모독하는 자의 독한 욕설과 나의 원수와 복수자의 무서운 눈길 때문입니다.
- 우리는 주님을 잊지 않았고, 주님의 언약을 깨뜨리지 않았습니다. 그러나 이 모든 일이 우리에게 닥쳤습니다.
- 우리가 마음으로 주님을 배반한 적이 없고, 우리의 발이 주님의 길에서 벗어난 적도 없습니다.

- Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

- 그러나 주님께서는 우리를 승냥이의 소굴에다 밀어 넣으시고, 깊고 깊은 어둠으로 덮으셨습니다.
