사무엘상 22:1-23:29

 다윗이 가드를 떠나 아둘람 굴로 피하자 사울 치하에서 억울한 일을 당한 사람들이 다윗을 따랐다. 사울은 아히멜렉이 다윗을 도왔다는 이유로 제사장들을 학살했다. 블레셋이 그일라를 약탈하자 다윗은 그일라를 구원해 주었다. 그러나 그들의 배반으로 사울의 추격을 받아, 다시 십 황무지로 도피했다. 다윗을 찾아온 요나단은 다윗이 왕이 될 것을 분명히 알고 있다고 하며 그를 위로했다.
  
  사울의 제사장 학살(22:1-22:23)    
 
  1. David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him.
  2. And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
  3. And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.
  4. And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
  5. And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
  1. こうして ダビデ はその 所を 去り， アドラム のほら 穴へのがれた． 彼の 兄弟たちと 父の 家の 者は 皆， これを 聞き， その 所に 下って 彼のもとにきた．

  1. When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;)
  2. Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;
  3. That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
  4. Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
  5. And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.
  1. サウル は， ダビデ および 彼と 共にいる 人¿が 見つかったということを 聞いた． サウル は ギベア で， やりを 手にもって， 丘のぎょりゅうの 木の 下にすわっており， 家來たちはみなそのまわりに 立っていた．

  3. あなたがたは 皆共にはかってわたしに 敵した． わたしの 子が エッサイ の 子と 契約を 結んでも， それをわたしに 告げるものはなく， またあなたがたのうち， ひとりもわたしのために 憂えず， きょうのように， わたしの 子がわたしのしもべをそそのかしてわたしに 逆らわせ， 道で 彼がわたしを 待ち 伏せするようになっても， わたしに 告げる 者はない 」．
  4. その 時 エドム びと ドエグ は， サウル の 家來たちのそばに 立っていたが， 答えて 言った， 「わたしは エッサイ の 子が ノブ にいる アヒトブ の 子 アヒメレク の 所にきたのを 見ました．
  5. アヒメレク は 彼のために 主に 問い， また 彼に 食物を 與え， ペリシテ びと ゴリアテ のつるぎを 與えました 」．
  1. Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.
  2. And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.
  3. And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
  4. Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?
  5. Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.
  1. そこで 王は 人をつかわして， アヒトブ の 子祭司 アヒメレク とその 父の 家のすべての 者， すなわち ノブ の 祭司たちを 召したので， みな 王の 所にきた．
  2. サウル は 言った， 「アヒトブ の 子よ， 聞きなさい 」． 彼は 答えた， 「わが 主よ， わたしはここにおります 」．
  3. サウル は 彼に 言った， 「どうしてあなたは エッサイ の 子と 共にはかってわたしに 敵し， 彼に パン とつるぎを 與え， 彼のために 神に 問い， きょうのように 彼をわたしに 逆らって 立たせ， 道で 待ち 伏せさせるのか 」．
  4. アヒメレク は 王に 答えて 言った， 「あなたの 家來のうち， ダビデ のように 忠義な 者がほかにありますか． 彼は 王の 娘¿であり， 近衛兵の 長であって， あなたの 家で 尊ばれる 人ではありませんか．
  5. 彼のために 神に 問うたのは， きょう 初めてでしょうか． いいえ， 決してそうではありません． 王よ， どうぞ， しもべと 父の 全家に 罪を 負わせないでください． しもべは， これについては， 事の 大小を 問わず， 何をも 知らなかったのです 」．
  1. And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father's house.
  2. And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD: because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
  3. And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.
  4. And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.
  5. And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.
  1. 王は 言った， 「アヒメレク よ， あなたは 必ず 殺されなければならない． あなたの 父の 全家も 同じである 」．
  2. そして 王はまわりに 立っている 近衛の 兵に 言った， 「身をひるがえして， 主の 祭司たちを 殺しなさい． 彼らも ダビデ と 協力していて， ダビデ の 逃げたのを 知りながら， それをわたしに 告げなかったからです 」． ところが 王の 家來たちは 主の 祭司たちを 殺すために 手を 下そうとはしなかった．
  3. そこで 王は ドエグ に 言った， 「あなたが 身をひるがえして， 祭司たちを 殺しなさい 」． エドム びと ドエグ は 身をひるがえして 祭司たちを 擊ち， その 日亞麻布の エポデ を 身につけている 者八十五人を 殺した．
  4. 彼はまた， つるぎをもって 祭司の 町 ノブ を 擊ち， つるぎをもって 男， 女， 幼な 子， 乳飮み 子， 牛， ろば， 羊を 殺した．
  5. しかし アヒトブ の 子 アヒメレク の 子たちのひとりで， 名を アビヤタル という 人は， のがれて ダビデ の 所に 走った．
  1. And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD's priests.
  2. And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father's house.
  3. Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.
  1. そして アビヤタル は， サウル が 主の 祭司たちを 殺したことを ダビデ に 告げたので，
  2. ダビデ は アビヤタル に 言った， 「あの 日， エドム びと ドエグ があそこにいたので， わたしは 彼がきっと サウル に 告げるであろうと 思った． わたしがあなたの 父の 家の 人¿の 命を 失わせるもととなったのです．
  3. あなたはわたしの 所にとどまってください． 恐れることはありません． あなたの 命を 求める 者は， わたしの 命をも 求めているのです． わたしの 所におられるならば， あなたは 安全でしょう 」．
 
  그일라를 구원한 다윗(23:1-23:29)    
 
  1. Then they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors.
  2. Therefore David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the LORD said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah.
  3. And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be afraid here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?
  4. Then David enquired of the LORD yet again. And the LORD answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
  5. So David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
  1. さて 人¿は ダビデ に 告げて 言った， 「ペリシテ びとが ケイラ を 攻めて， 打ち 場の 穀物をかすめています 」．
  2. そこで ダビデ は 主に 問うて 言った， 「わたしが 行って， この ペリシテ びとを 擊ちましょうか 」． 主は ダビデ に 言われた， 「行って ペリシテ びとを 擊ち， ケイラ を 救いなさい 」．
  3. しかし ダビデ の 從者たちは 彼に 言った， 「われわれは， ユダ のここにおってさえ， 恐れているのに， まして ケイラ へ 行って， ペリシテ びとの 軍に 當ることができましょうか 」．
  4. ダビデ が 重ねて 主に 問うたところ， 主は 彼に 答えて 言われた， 「立って， ケイラ へ 下りなさい． わたしは ペリシテ びとをあなたの 手に 渡します 」．
  5. ダビデ とその 從者たちは ケイラ へ 行って， ペリシテ びとと 戰い， 彼らの 家畜を 奪いとり， 彼らを 多く 擊ち 殺した． こうして ダビデ は ケイラ の 住民を 救った．
  1. And it came to pass, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.
  2. And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God hath delivered him into mine hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars.
  3. And Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.
  4. And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.
  5. Then said David, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake.
  1. アヒメレク の 子 アビヤタル は， ケイラ にいる ダビデ のもとにのがれてきた 時， 手に エポデ をもって 下ってきた．
  2. さて ダビデ の ケイラ にきたことが サウル に 聞えたので， サウル は 言った， 「神はわたしの 手に 彼をわたされた． 彼は 門と 貫の 木のある 町にはいって， 自分で 身を 閉じこめたからである 」．
  3. そこで サウル はすべての 民を 戰いに 呼び 集めて， ケイラ に 下り， ダビデ とその 從者を 攻め 圍もうとした．
  4. ダビデ は サウル が 自分に 害を 加えようとしているのを 知って， 祭司 アビヤタル に 言った， 「エポデ を 持ってきてください 」．
  5. そして ダビデ は 言った， 「イスラエル の 神， 主よ， しもべは サウル が ケイラ にきて， わたしのために， この 町を 滅ぼそうとしていることを 確かに 聞きました．
  1. Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O LORD God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And the LORD said, He will come down.
  2. Then said David, Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul? And the LORD said, They will deliver thee up.
  3. Then David and his men, which were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went whithersoever they could go. And it was told Saul that David was escaped from Keilah; and he forbare to go forth.
  4. And David abode in the wilderness in strong holds, and remained in a mountain in the wilderness of Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God delivered him not into his hand.
  5. And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life: and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a wood.
  1. ケイラ の 人¿はわたしを 彼の 手に 渡すでしょうか． しもべの 聞いたように， サウル は 下ってくるでしょうか． イスラエル の 神， 主よ， どうぞ， しもべに 告げてください 」． 主は 言われた， 「彼は 下って 來る 」．
  2. ダビデ は 言った， 「ケイラ の 人¿はわたしと 從者たちを サウル の 手にわたすでしょうか 」． 主は 言われた， 「彼らはあなたがたを 渡すであろう 」．
  3. そこで ダビデ とその 六百人ほどの 從者たちは 立って， ケイラ を 去り， いずこともなくさまよった． ダビデ の ケイラ から 逃げ 去ったことが サウル に 聞えたので， サウル は 戰いに 出ることをやめた．
  4. ダビデ は 荒野にある 要害におり， また ジフ の 荒野の 山地におった． サウル は 日¿に 彼を 尋ね 求めたが， 神は 彼をその 手に 渡されなかった．
  5. さて ダビデ は サウル が 自分の 命を 求めて 出てきたので 恐れた． その 時 ダビデ は ジフ の 荒野の ホレシ にいたが，
  1. And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.
  2. And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth.
  3. And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house.
  4. Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in strong holds in the wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon?
  5. Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king's hand.
  1. サウル の 子 ヨナタン は 立って， ホレシ にいる ダビデ のもとに 行き， 神によって 彼を 力づけた．
  2. そして ヨナタン は 彼に 言った， 「恐れるにはおよびません． 父 サウル の 手はあなたに 屆かないでしょう． あなたは イスラエル の 王となり， わたしはあなたの 次となるでしょう． このことは 父 サウル も 知っています 」．
  3. こうして 彼らふたりは 主の 前で 契約を 結び， ダビデ は ホレシ にとどまり， ヨナタン は 家に 歸った．
  4. その 時 ジフ びとは ギベア にいる サウル のもとに 上って 行き， そして 言った， 「ダビデ は， 荒野の 南にある ハキラ の 丘の 上の ホレシ の 要害に 隱れて， われわれと 共にいるではありませんか．
  5. それゆえ 王よ， あなたが 下って 行こうという 望みのとおり， いま 下ってきてください． われわれは 彼を 王の 手に 渡します 」．
  1. And Saul said, Blessed be ye of the LORD; for ye have compassion on me.
  2. Go, I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his haunt is, and who hath seen him there: for it is told me that he dealeth very subtilly.
  3. See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hideth himself, and come ye again to me with the certainty, and I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the land, that I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah.
  4. And they arose, and went to Ziph before Saul: but David and his men were in the wilderness of Maon, in the plain on the south of Jeshimon.
  5. Saul also and his men went to seek him. And they told David; wherefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon.
  1. サウル は 言った， 「あなたがたはわたしに 同情を 寄せてくれたのです． どうぞ 主があなたがたを 祝福されるように．
  2. あなたがたは 行って， なお 確かめてください． 彼のよく 行く 所とだれがそこで 彼を 見たかを 見きわめてください． 人の 語るところによると， 彼はひじょうに 惡賢いそうだ．
  3. それで， あなたがたは 彼が 隱れる 隱れ 場所をみな 見きわめ， 確かな 知らせをもってわたしの 所に 歸ってきなさい． その 時わたしはあなたがたと 共に 行きます． もし 彼がこの 地にいるならば， わたしは ユダ の 氏族をあまねく 尋ねて 彼を 搜しだします 」．
  4. 彼らは 立って， サウル に 先立って ジフ へ 行った． さて ダビデ とその 從者たちは 荒野の 南の アラバ にある マオン の 荒野にいた．
  5. そして サウル とその 從者たちはきて 彼を 搜した． 人¿がこれを ダビデ に 告げたので， ダビデ は マオン の 荒野にある 岩の 所へ 下って 行った． サウル はこれを 聞いて， マオン の 荒野にきて ダビデ を 追った．
  1. And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them.
  2. But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land.
  3. Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth.
  4. And David went up from thence, and dwelt in strong holds at Engedi.
  1. サウル は 山のこちら 側を 行き， ダビデ とその 從者たちとは 山のむこう 側を 行った． そして ダビデ は 急いで サウル からのがれようとした． サウル とその 從者たちが， ダビデ とその 從者たちを 圍んで 捕えようとしたからである．
  2. その 時， サウル の 所に， ひとりの 使者がきて 言った， 「ペリシテ びとが 國を 侵しています． 急いできてください 」．
  3. そこで サウル は ダビデ を 追うことをやめて 歸り， 行って ペリシテ びとに 當った． それで 人¿は， その 所を「のがれの 岩 」と 名づけた．
  4. ダビデ はそこから 上って エンゲデ の 要害にいた．
