  Àλ縻(1:1-1:7)

  1. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
  2. (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
  3. Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
  4. And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
  5. By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
  1. Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God--
  2. the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures
  3. regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David,
  4. and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
  5. Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.
  1. Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
  2. To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
  1. And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
  2. To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

  ¹ÏÀ½À» ÅëÇÑ ±¸¿ø(1:8-1:17)

  1. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
  2. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
  3. Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.
  4. For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;
  5. That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
  1. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.
  2. God, whom I serve with my whole heart in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you
  3. in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you.
  4. I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong--
  5. that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.
  1. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
  2. I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
  3. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
  4. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
  5. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
  1. I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now) in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.
  2. I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.
  3. That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.
  4. I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
  5. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
