호세아 5:1-8:14

 호세아는 이스라엘 죄악의 근본 원인이 하나님을 아는 지식이 없기 때문이라는 야웨의 말씀을 전하면서 우상 숭배와 행음, 형식적인 제사와 번제, 제사장들의 타락 등 이스라엘의 죄악을 낱낱이 지적하였다. 그는 이로 인해 하나님의 징계와 심판이 있을 것이지만 그 후에는 치료하시는 하나님의 구원의 은총이 있을 것임을 예언하였다.
  
  이스라엘의 죄악상(5:1-8:14)    
 
  1. Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
  2. And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
  3. I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
  4. They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.
  5. And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.
  1. '너희 제사장들아, 들어라! 이스라엘 백성들아, 유의하라! 왕족들아, 귀를 기울여라! 너희가 미스바에서 함정이 되었고 다볼산에 친 그물이 되었으므로 너희에게 심판이 있을 것이다.
  2. 반역자들이 살인죄에 깊이 빠졌으므로 내가 그들을 다 징계할 것이다.
  3. 내가 이스라엘에 관한 것을 모두 알고 있으니 나에게 하나도 숨기지 못할 것이다. 이스라엘아, 이제 너는 창녀짓을 하여 더럽혀지고 말았다.'
  4. 그들의 행위가 그들을 자기들의 하나님에게 돌아가지 못하게 하는구나. 음란한 마음이 그들에게 있으므로 그들이 여호와를 인정하지 않는다.
  5. 이스라엘의 교만이 그것을 증거하고 있으니 그들의 죄로 이스라엘이 넘어지고 유다도 그와 함께 넘어질 것이다.
  1. They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
  2. They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
  3. Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.
  4. Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
  5. The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
  1. 그들이 양떼와 소떼를 끌고 가서 여호와를 찾아도 만나지 못할 것이다. 이것은 여호와께서 그들을 떠나셨기 때문이다.
  2. 그들이 여호와께 정조를 지키지 않고 사생아를 마구 낳았으므로 그들과 그 땅이 곧 삼킴을 당할 것이다.
  3. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '너희는 기브아에서 나팔을 불어라. 라마에서 호각을 불어라. 벧-아웬에서 전쟁의 함성을 질러라. 베냐민아, 전쟁터로 달려가거라.
  4. 형벌의 날에 에브라임이 황폐할 것이다. 이것은 반드시 일어날 일이다.
  5. 유다의 지도자들은 땅에 경계석을 옮기는 자와 같으므로 내가 나의 분노를 그들에게 물같이 쏟아 버리겠다.
  1. Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
  2. Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
  3. When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
  4. For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
  5. I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
  1. 이스라엘이 우상을 따르기로 작정하였으므로 나의 심판으로 깨어지고 부서질 것이다.
  2. 그러므로 내가 이스라엘에게는 좀같고 유다 백성에게는 부패물 같을 것이다.
  3. 이스라엘이 자기가 병든 것을 알고 유다가 자기 상처를 보았을 때 이스라엘이 앗시리아 왕에게 가서 도움을 요청했으나 그가 저들을 고치거나 치료하지 못하였다.
  4. 내가 이스라엘과 유다 백성을 사자처럼 공격하겠다. 내가 그들을 찢고 움켜가도 그들을 구출할 자가 없을 것이다.
  5. 그들이 자기들의 죄를 인정하고 나를 찾을 때까지 내가 내 처소로 돌아가 있겠다. 그들이 고통을 당하면 나를 간절히 찾을 것이다.'
 
 
  1. Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
  2. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
  3. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
  4. O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
  5. Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
  1. 그들이 이렇게 말할 것이다. '오라! 우리가 여호와께 돌아가자. 여호와께서 우리를 찢으셨으나 우리를 다시 낫게 하실 것이며 우리에게 상처를 입히셨으나 우리를 싸매 주실 것이다.
  2. 여호와께서 이틀 후에 우리를 살리시며 3일째에 우리를 일으키실 것이므로 우리가 그 앞에서 살게 될 것이다.
  3. 그러므로 여호와를 알자. 힘써 여호와를 알자. 그의 나타나심은 동이 트는 것처럼 확실하다. 비와 같이, 땅을 적시는 봄비같이 그가 우리에게 나오실 것이다.'
  4. 그러나 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '이스라엘아, 내가 너를 어떻게 할까? 유다야, 내가 너를 어떻게 할까? 너희 사랑이 아침 안개와 같고 일찍 사라지는 이슬과 같구나.
  5. 그래서 내가 내 예언자들을 통해 너희를 치고 내 입의 말로 너희를 죽였다. 내 심판은 번쩍이는 번개와 같다.
  1. For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
  2. But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
  3. Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.
  4. And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
  5. I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
  1. 나는 자비를 원하고 제사를 원치 않으며 불로 태워 바치는 번제보다 나를 아는 것을 원한다.
  2. 그러나 너희는 아담처럼 내 계약을 어기고 나를 배반하였다.
  3. 길르앗은 피의 발자국으로 얼룩진 악인들의 성이다.
  4. 제사장들이 강도 떼처럼 숨어서 사람을 기다리며 세겜으로 가는 길에서 살인하고 온갖 죄를 범하고 있다.
  5. 나는 이스라엘에서 끔찍한 일을 보았다. 에브라임이 우상을 섬겨 창녀짓을 하였으므로 이스라엘이 더럽혀지고 말았다.
  1. Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
  1. 유다야, 내가 내 백성을 회복시키려고 징계할 때 너도 벌할 것이다.'
 
 
  1. When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.
  2. And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
  3. They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.
  4. They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.
  5. In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.
  1. '내가 이스라엘을 치료하려고 할 때마다 에브라임의 죄와 사마리아의 악이 드러나고 있다. 그들은 서로 속이고 남의 집에 뛰어들어 강도질하며 악당들처럼 거리에서 약탈을 감행한다.
  2. 그들은 내가 이 모든 악을 기억하고 있음을 깨닫지 못하고 있다. 그들의 죄가 그들을 둘러싸고 있으니 내가 보지 않을 수 없구나.
  3. 그들은 악으로 왕을 기쁘게 하고 거짓말로 그의 신하들을 기쁘게 하고 있다.
  4. 그들은 다 간음하는 자들이다. 빵 굽는 자의 화덕에서 계속 치솟는 불길처럼 그 정욕이 계속 불일듯 일어나고 있다.
  5. 왕의 잔치 날이 신하들은 술의 열기로 병이 나고 왕은 자기를 조소하는 자와 악수를 한다.
  1. For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.
  2. They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.
  3. Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
  4. Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.
  5. And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.
  1. 음모를 꾸미는 그들의 마음은 화덕과 같아서 그 분노가 밤새도록 쌓여 있다가 아침이 되면 타오르는 불처럼 일어난다.
  2. 그들이 다 화덕처럼 달아올라서 자기들의 지도자들을 죽이고 그 왕들을 하나하나 살해하지만 나에게 기도하는 자는 하나도 없구나.
  3. '이스라엘이 이방 민족과 혼합하니 뒤집지 않아서 설익은 빵처럼 쓸모가 없다.
  4. 이방인들이 그의 힘을 서서히 펴고 있으나 그가 알지 못하며 머리카락이 희끗희끗한데도 그것을 깨닫지 못하고 있다.
  5. 이스라엘의 교만이 스스로를 증거하는데도 그는 자기 하나님 나 여호와에게 돌아오지 않고 나를 찾지도 않는다.
  1. Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
  2. When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.
  3. Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
  4. And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.
  5. Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.
  1. 이스라엘은 어리석고 지혜 없는 비둘기 같아서 이집트를 향해 부르짖고 앗시리아로 찾아가고 있다.
  2. 그러나 그가 갈 때에 내가 그물을 던져 공중의 새처럼 그를 아래로 끌어당기고 그 행한 악에 대하여 그를 벌할 것이다.
  3. 나를 떠난 내 백성에게 화가 있을 것이다. 그들은 나에게 범죄하였으므로 패망할 것이다. 내가 그들을 구원하려고 하지만 그들이 나에게 거짓말을 하고
  4. 진심으로 나에게 부르짖지 않으며 잠자리에서 슬피 울기만 한다. 그들이 곡식과 새 포도주를 위해서는 서로 모이면서도 나를 외면하고 있다.
  5. 내가 그들을 단련시켜 강하게 하였으나 그들은 나에게 악을 꾀하고 있다.
  1. They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
  1. 그들이 돌아와도 가장 높은 신인 나를 바라보지 않으니 그들은 굽은 화살과 같다. 그들의 지도자들은 오만한 말 때문에 칼날에 쓰러질 것이다. 그러므로 그들은 이집트 땅에서 조소를 당할 것이다.'
 
 
  1. Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
  2. Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.
  3. Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
  4. They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
  5. Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
  1. '나팔을 불어라! 대적들이 독수리처럼 나 여호와의 집을 덮치려 하고 있다. 이것은 내 백성이 나와 맺은 계약을 어기고 내 법을 거역하였기 때문이다.
  2. 그들이 나에게 '우리 하나님이시여, 우리가 주를 인정합니다.' 하고 부르짖지만
  3. 이스라엘이 선한 것을 거절하였으므로 대적이 그를 추격할 것이다.
  4. 내 백성이 왕들을 세웠으나 내 승낙 없이 제멋대로 세웠고 그들이 지도자들을 세웠으나 내가 모르는 일이다. 그들이 은과 금으로 자기들을 위해 우상을 만들었으니 이것이 그들에게 멸망이 될 것이다.
  5. 사마리아야, 네 송아지 우상을 버려라. 내 분노가 너를 향해 타오르고 있다. 네가 언제나 죄에서 떠나겠느냐?
  1. For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
  2. For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
  3. Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.
  4. For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
  5. Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
  1. 그 우상은 이스라엘 기능공들이 만든 것이며 신이 아니다. 그러므로 사마리아의 송아지가 박살날 것이다.
  2. 그들은 바람을 심고 폭풍을 거둘 것이다. 심은 것이 줄기는 있어도 이삭이 없으므로 열매를 맺을 수 없고 또 열매를 맺는다 해도 외국인들이 그것을 먹을 것이다.
  3. 이스라엘이 삼킴을 당하여 이방 나라 가운데서 헤어진 그릇처럼 되었다.
  4. 그가 혼자 방황하는 들나귀처럼 앗시리아로 가서 연애할 자들을 고용하였다.
  5. 그 백성이 이방인들을 고용했을지라도 내가 그들을 모아 벌하겠다. 그들은 앗시리아 왕의 억압 밑에서 쇠하기 시작할 것이다.
  1. Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.
  2. I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
  3. They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
  4. For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
  1. 이스라엘 백성이 죄를 없애려고 많은 제단을 쌓더니 그것이 죄를 짓는 제단이 되고 말았다.
  2. 내가 그들을 위해 많은 율법을 기록했으나 그들은 생소한 것으로 여기고 있다.
  3. 그들이 나에게 제물을 드리고 그 고기를 먹지만 나 여호와는 그것을 기뻐하지 않는다. 이제 내가 그들의 죄를 기억하였다가 그들을 벌하겠다. 그들은 다시 이집트로 갈 것이다.
  4. 이스라엘은 자기를 지은 자를 잊어버리고 우상 신전을 많이 세웠으며 유다는 요새 성을 많이 쌓았다. 그러나 내가 불을 보내 그 우상 신전들과 성들을 멸할 것이다.'
