- しもべのことを， その 主人に 中傷してはならない． そうでないと， 彼はあなたをのろい， あなたは 罰せられる．
- 自分の 父をのろい， 自分の 母を 祝福しない 世代．
- 自分をきよいと 見， 汚れを 洗わない 世代．
- なんとも， その 目が 高く， まぶたが 上がっている 世代．
- 齒が 劍のようで， きばが 刀のような 世代． 彼らは 地の 苦しむ 者を， 人のうちの 貧しい 者を 食い 盡くす．

- The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:
- The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
