- The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
- For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.
- And the LORD hath given me knowledge of it, and I know it: then thou shewedst me their doings.
- But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.
- But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

- 나 여호와가 그 이름을 일컬어 좋은 행실 맺는 아름다운 푸른 감람나무라 하였었으나 큰 소동 중에 그 위에 불을 피웠고 그 가지는 꺾였도다
- 바알에게 분향함으로 나의 노를 격동한 이스라엘 집과 유다 집의 악을 인하여 그를 심은 만군의 여호와 내가 그에게 재앙을 선언하였느니라
- 여호와께서 내게 알게 하셨으므로 내가 그것을 알았나이다 그 때에 주께서 그들의 행위를 내게 보이셨나이다
- 나는 끌려서 잡히러 가는 순한 어린 양과 같으므로 그들이 나를 해하려고 꾀하기를 우리가 그 나무와 과실을 함께 박멸하자 그를 산 자의 땅에서 끊어서 그 이름으로 다시 기억되지 못하게 하자 함을 내가 알지 못하였나이다
- 공의로 판단하시며 사람의 심장을 감찰하시는 만군의 여호와여 나의 원정을 주께 아뢰었사오니 그들에게 대한 주의 보수를 내가 보리이다 하였더니
