- 六日ののち， イエス は ペテロ ， ヤコブ ， ヤコブ の 兄弟 ヨハネ だけを 連れて， 高い 山に 登られた．
- ところが， 彼らの 目の 前で イエス の 姿が 變り， その 顔は 日のように 輝き， その 衣は 光のように 白くなった．
- すると， 見よ， モ ― セ と エリヤ が 彼らに 現れて， イエス と 語り 合っていた．
- ペテロ は イエス にむかって 言った， 「主よ， わたしたちがここにいるのは， すばらしいことです． もし， おさしつかえなければ， わたしはここに 小屋を 三つ 建てましょう． 一つはあなたのために， 一つは モ ― セ のために， 一つは エリヤ のために 」．
- 彼がまだ 話し 終えないうちに， たちまち， 輝く 雲が 彼らをおおい， そして 雲の 中から 聲がした， 「これはわたしの 愛する 子， わたしの 心にかなう 者である． これに 聞け 」．

- After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
- There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.
- Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
- Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."
- While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"

- 弟子たちはこれを 聞いて 非常に 恐れ， 顔を 地に 伏せた．
- イエス は 近づいてきて， 手を 彼らにおいて 言われた， 「起きなさい， 恐れることはない 」．
- 彼らが 目をあげると， イエス のほかには， だれも 見えなかった．
- 一同が 山を 下って 來るとき， イエス は「人の 子が 死人の 中からよみがえるまでは， いま 見たことをだれにも 話してはならない 」と， 彼らに 命じられた．
- 弟子たちは イエス にお 尋ねして 言った， 「いったい， 律法學者たちは， なぜ， エリヤ が 先に 來るはずだと 言っているのですか 」．

- When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified.
- But Jesus came and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid."
- When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
- As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."
- The disciples asked him, "Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?"

- 答えて 言われた， 「確かに， エリヤ がきて， 万事を 元どおりに 改めるであろう．
- しかし， あなたがたに 言っておく． エリヤ はすでにきたのだ． しかし 人¿は 彼を 認めず 贅ㄱㄱ ㆂ失龜 �爐鬚△� Ð �辰拭� ㅹ怪楚 �發¿拭△修里� 데칙�爐¿� ㅽ獻 범 Ð �¿� ㅺㅨ紺 �箸砲覆� �Α廖�
- そのとき， 弟子たちは， イエス が バプテスマ の ヨハネ のことを 言われたのだと 悟った．

- Jesus replied, "To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things.
- But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands."
- Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.
