- さて， 大ぜいの 群衆が 集まり， その 上， 町¿からの 人たちが イエス のところに， ぞくぞくと 押し 寄せてきたので， 一つの ·で 話をされた，
- 「種まきが 種をまきに 出て 行った． まいているうちに， ある 種は 道ばたに 落ち， 踏みつけられ， そして 空の 鳥に 食べられてしまった．
- ほかの 種は 岩の 上に 落ち， はえはしたが 水氣がないので 枯れてしまった．
- ほかの 種は， いばらの 間に 落ちたので， いばらも 一緖に 茂ってきて， それをふさいでしまった．
- ところが， ほかの 種は 良い 地に 落ちたので， はえ 育って 百倍もの 實を 結んだ 」． こう 語られたのち， 聲をあげて「聞く 耳のある 者は 聞くがよい 」と 言われた．

- While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable:
- "A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up.
- Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture.
- Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants.
- Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown." When he said this, he called out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

- 弟子たちは， この ·はどういう 意味でしょうか， と イエス に 質問した．
- そこで 言われた， 「あなたがたには， 神の 國の 奧義を 知ることが 許されているが， ほかの 人たちには， 見ても 見えず， 聞いても 悟られないために， ·で 話すのである．
- この ·はこういう 意味である． 種は 神の 言である．
- 道ばたに 落ちたのは， 聞いたのち， 信じることも 救われることもないように， 惡魔によってその 心から 御言が 奪い 取られる 人たちのことである．
- 岩の 上に 落ちたのは， 御言を 聞いた 時には 喜んで 受けいれるが， 根が 無いので， しばらくは 信じていても， 試鍊の 時が 來ると， 信仰を 捨てる 人たちのことである．

- His disciples asked him what this parable meant.
- He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, " 'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.'
- "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.
- Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
- Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.

- いばらの 中に 落ちたのは， 聞いてから 日を 過ごすうちに， 生活の 心づかいや 富や 快樂にふさがれて， 實の 熟するまでにならない 人たちのことである．
- 良い 地に 落ちたのは， 御言を 聞いたのち， これを 正しい 良い 心でしっかりと 守り， 耐え 忍んで 實を 結ぶに 至る 人たちのことである．
- だれもあかりをともして， それを 何かの 器でおおいかぶせたり， 寢台の 下に 置いたりはしない． 燭台の 上に 置いて， はいって 來る 人たちに 光が 見えるようにするのである．
- 隱されているもので， あらわにならないものはなく， 秘密にされているもので， ついには 知られ， 明るみに 出されないものはない．
- だから， どう 聞くかに 注意するがよい． 持っている 人は 更に 與えられ， 持っていない 人は， 持っていると 思っているものまでも， 取り 上げられるであろう 」．

- The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
- But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
- "No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
- For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.
- Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken from him."

- さて， イエス の 母と 兄弟たちとが イエス のところにきたが， 群衆のためそば 近くに 行くことができなかった．
- それで， だれかが「あなたの 母上と 兄弟がたが， お 目にかかろうと 思って， 外に 立っておられます 」と 取次いだ．
- すると イエス は 人¿にむかって 言われた， 「神の 御言を 聞いて 行う 者こそ， わたしの 母， わたしの 兄弟なのである 」．

- Now Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd.
- Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you."
- He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice."
