- その 翌日， ヨハネ は イエス が 自分の 方にこられるのを 見て 言った， 「見よ， 世の 罪を 取り 除く 神の 小羊．
- 『わたしのあとに 來るかたは， わたしよりもすぐれたかたである． わたしよりも 先におられたからである 』とわたしが 言ったのは， この 人のことである．
- わたしはこのかたを 知らなかった． しかし， このかたが イスラエル に 現れてくださるそのことのために， わたしはきて， 水で バプテスマ を 授けているのである 」．
- ヨハネ はまたあかしをして 言った， 「わたしは， 御靈がはとのように 天から 下って， 彼の 上にとどまるのを 見た．
- わたしはこの 人を 知らなかった． しかし， 水で バプテスマ を 授けるようにと， わたしをおつかわしになったそのかたが， わたしに 言われた， 『ある 人の 上に， 御靈が 下ってとどまるのを 見たら， その 人こそは， 御靈によって バプテスマ を 授けるかたである 』．

- The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
- This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
- And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
- And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
- And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

- わたしはそれを 見たので， このかたこそ 神の 子であると， あかしをしたのである 」．
- その 翌日， ヨハネ はまたふたりの 弟子たちと 一緖に 立っていたが，
- イエス が 步いておられるのに 目をとめて 言った， 「見よ， 神の 小羊 」．
- そのふたりの 弟子は， ヨハネ がそう 言うのを 聞いて， イエス について 行った．
- イエス はふり 向き， 彼らがついてくるのを 見て 言われた， 「何か 願いがあるのか 」． 彼らは 言った， 「ラビ （譯して 言えば， 先生 ）どこにおとまりなのですか 」．

- And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
- Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
- And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
- And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
- Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

- イエス は 彼らに 言われた， 「きてごらんなさい． そうしたらわかるだろう 」． そこで 彼らはついて 行って， イエス の 泊まっておられる 所を 見た． そして， その 日は イエス のところに 泊まった． 時は 午後四時ごろであった．
- ヨハネ から 聞いて， イエス について 行ったふたりのうちのひとりは， シモン · ペテロ の 兄弟 アンデレ であった．
- 彼はまず 自分の 兄弟 シモン に 出會って 言った， 「わたしたちは メシヤ （譯せば， キリスト ）にいま 出會った 」．
- そして シモン を イエス のもとにつれてきた． イエス は 彼に 目をとめて 言われた， 「あなたは ヨハネ の 子 シモン である． あなたを ケパ （譯せば， ペテロ ）と 呼ぶことにする 」．
- その 翌日， イエス は ガリラヤ に 行こうとされたが， ピリポ に 出會って 言われた， 「わたしに 從ってきなさい 」．

- He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
- One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
- He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
- And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
- The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

- ピリポ は， アンデレ と ペテロ との 町 ベツサイダ の 人であった．
- この ピリポ が ナタナエル に 出會って 言った， 「わたしたちは， モ ― セ が 律法の 中にしるしており， 預言者たちがしるしていた 人， ヨセフ の 子， ナザレ の イエス にいま 出會った 」．
- ナタナエル は 彼に 言った， 「ナザレ から， なんのよいものが 出ようか 」． ピリポ は 彼に 言った， 「きて 見なさい 」．
- イエス は ナタナエル が 自分の 方に 來るのを 見て， 彼について 言われた， 「見よ， あの 人こそ， ほんとうの イスラエル 人である． その 心には 僞りがない 」．
- ナタナエル は 言った， 「どうしてわたしをご 存じなのですか 」． イエス は 答えて 言われた， 「ピリポ があなたを 呼ぶ 前に， わたしはあなたが， いちじくの 木の 下にいるのを 見た 」．

- Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
- Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
- And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
- Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
- Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

- ナタナエル は 答えた， 「先生， あなたは 神の 子です． あなたは イスラエル の 王です 」．
- イエス は 答えて 言われた， 「あなたが， いちじくの 木の 下にいるのを 見たと， わたしが 言ったので 信じるのか． これよりも， もっと 大きなことを， あなたは 見るであろう 」．
- また 言われた， 「よくよくあなたがたに 言っておく． 天が 開けて， 神の 御使たちが 人の 子の 上に 上り 下りするのを， あなたがたは 見るであろう 」．

- Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
- Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
- And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
