룻기 3:1-4:22

 나오미는 룻과 보아스를 결혼시킬 것을 계획하고 룻은 나오미의 뜻을 따라 보아스에게 기업 무를 자의 의무를 이행하도록 요청했다. 이에 보아스는 그 절차를 이행하여 룻을 아내로 맞아 오벳을 낳았는데, 그는 다윗의 조부가 되었다.
  
  나오미의 계획(3:1-3:18)    
 
  1. 時にしゅうとめ ナオミ は 彼女に 言った， 「娘よ， わたしはあなたの 落ち 着き 所を 求めて， あなたをしあわせにすべきではないでしょうか．
  2. あなたが 一緖に ¿いた 女たちの 主人 ボアズ はわたしたちの 親戚ではありませんか． 彼は 今夜， 打ち 場で 大麥をあおぎ 分けます．
  3. それであなたは 身を 洗って 油をぬり， 晴れ 着をまとって 打ち 場に 下って 行きなさい． ただ， あなたはその 人が 飮み 食いを 終るまで， その 人に 知られてはなりません．
  4. そしてその 人が 寢る 時， その 寢る 場所を 見定め， はいって 行って， その 足の 所をまくって， そこに 寢なさい． 彼はあなたのすべきことを 知らせるでしょう 」．
  5. ルツ はしゅうとめに 言った， 「あなたのおっしゃることを 皆いたしましょう 」．
  1. Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
  2. And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.
  3. Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
  4. And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.
  5. And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do.
  1. こうして 彼女は 打ち 場に 下り， すべてしゅうとめが 命じたとおりにした．
  2. ボアズ は 飮み 食いして， 心をたのしませたあとで， 麥を 積んである 場所のかたわらへ 行って 寢た． そこで 彼女はひそかに 行き， ボアズ の 足の 所をまくって， そこに 寢た．

  4. 「あなたはだれですか 」と 言うと， 彼女は 答えた， 「わたしはあなたのはしため ルツ です． あなたのすそで， はしためをおおってください． あなたは 最も 近い 親戚です 」．
  5. ボアズ は 言った， 「娘よ， どうぞ， 主があなたを 祝福されるように． あなたは 貧富にかかわらず 若い 人に 從い 行くことはせず， あなたが 最後に 示したこの 親切は， さきに 示した 親切にまさっています．
  1. And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her.
  2. And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down.
  3. And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.
  4. And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.
  5. And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
  1. それで， 娘よ， あなたは 恐れるにおよびません． あなたが 求めることは 皆， あなたのためにいたしましょう． わたしの 町の 人¿は 皆， あなたがりっぱな 女であることを 知っているからです．
  2. たしかにわたしは 近い 親戚ではありますが， わたしよりも， もっと 近い 親戚があります．
  3. 今夜はここにとどまりなさい． 朝になって， もしその 人が， あなたのために 親戚の 義務をつくすならば， よろしい， その 人にさせなさい． しかし 主は 生きておられます． その 人が， あなたのために 親戚の 義務をつくすことを 好まないならば， わたしはあなたのために 親戚の 義務をつくしましょう． 朝までここにおやすみなさい 」．
  4. ルツ は 朝まで 彼の 足のところに 寢たが， だれかれの 見分け 難いころに 起きあがった． それは ボアズ が「この 女の 打ち 場にきたことが 人に 知られてはならない 」と 言ったからである．
  5. そして ボアズ は 言った， 「あなたの 着る 外套を 持ってきて， それを 廣げなさい 」． 彼女がそれを 廣げると， ボアズ は 大麥六 オメル をはかって 彼女に 負わせた． 彼女は 町に 歸り，
  1. And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
  2. And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.
  3. Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman's part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as the LORD liveth: lie down until the morning.
  4. And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.
  5. Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.
  1. しゅうとめのところへ 行くと， しゅうとめは 言った， 「娘よ， どうでしたか 」． そこで ルツ はその 人が 彼女にしたことをことごとく 告げて，
  2. 言った， 「あのかたはわたしに 向かって， から 手で， しゅうとめのところへ 歸ってはならないと 言って， この 大麥六 オメル をわたしにくださいました 」．
  3. しゅうとめは 言った， 「娘よ， この 事がどうなるかわかるまでお 待ちなさい． あの 人は， きょう， その 事を 決定しなければ 落ち 着かないでしょう 」．
  1. And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.
  2. And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law.
  3. Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
 
  룻과 보아스의 결혼(4:1-4:22)    
 
  1. ボアズ は 町の 門のところへ 上っていって， そこにすわった． すると， さきに ボアズ が 言った 親戚の 人が 通り 過ぎようとしたので， ボアズ はその 人に 言った， 「友よ， こちらへきて， ここにおすわりください 」． 彼はきてすわった．
  2. ボアズ はまた 町の 長老十人を 招いて 言った， 「ここにおすわりください 」． 彼らがすわった 時，
  3. ボアズ は 親戚の 人に 言った， 「モアブ の 地から 歸ってきた ナオミ は， われわれの 親族 エリメレク の 地所を 賣ろうとしています．

  1. Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
  2. And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
  3. And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's:
  4. And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.
  5. Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
  1. その 親戚の 人は 言った， 「それでは， わたしにはあがなうことができません． そんなことをすれば 自分の 嗣業をそこないます． あなたがわたしに 代って， 自分であがなってください． わたしはあがなうことができませんから 」．
  2. むかし イスラエル では， 物をあがなう 事と， 權利の 讓渡について， 万事を 決定する 時のならわしはこうであった． すなわち， その 人は， 自分のくつを 脫いで， 相手の 人に 渡した． これが イスラエル での 證明の 方法であった．

  5. またわたしは マロン の 妻であった モアブ の 女 ルツ をも 買って， わたしの 妻としました． これはあの 死んだ 者の 名を 起してその 嗣業を 傳え， 死んだ 者の 名がその 一族から， またその 鄕里の 門から 斷絶しないようにするためです． きょうあなたがたは， その 證人です 」．
  1. And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it.
  2. Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.
  3. Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.
  4. And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi.
  5. Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
  1. すると 門にいたすべての 民と 長老たちは 言った， 「わたしたちは 證人です． どうぞ， 主があなたの 家にはいる 女を， イスラエル の 家をたてた ラケル と レア のふたりのようにされますよう． どうぞ， あなたが エフラタ で 富を 得， ベツレヘム で 名を 揚げられますように．
  2. どうぞ， 主がこの 若い 女によってあなたに 賜わる 子供により， あなたの 家が， かの タマル が ユダ に 産んだ ペレヅ の 家のようになりますように 」．
  3. こうして ボアズ は ルツ をめとって 妻とし， 彼女のところにはいった． 主は 彼女をみごもらせられたので， 彼女はひとりの 男の 子を 産んだ．
  4. そのとき， 女たちは ナオミ に 言った， 「主はほむべきかな， 主はあなたを 見捨てずに， きょう， あなたにひとりの 近親をお 授けになりました． どうぞ， その 子の 名が イスラエル のうちに 高く 揚げられますように．
  5. 彼はあなたのいのちを 新たにし， あなたの 老年を 養う 者となるでしょう． あなたを 愛するあなたの 嫁， 七人のむすこにもまさる 彼女が 彼を 産んだのですから 」．
  1. And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:
  2. And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman.
  3. So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.
  4. And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
  5. And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.
  1. そこで ナオミ はその 子をとり， ふところに 置いて， 養い 育てた．
  2. 近所の 女たちは「ナオミ に 男の 子が 生れた 」と 言って， 彼に 名をつけ， その 名を オベデ と 呼んだ． 彼は ダビデ の 父である エッサイ の 父となった．
  3. さて ペレヅ の 子孫は 次のとおりである． ペレヅ から ヘヅロン が 生れ，
  4. ヘヅロン から ラム が 生れ， ラム から アミナダブ が 生れ，
  5. アミナダブ から ナション が 生れ， ナション から サルモン が 生れ，
  1. And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.
  2. And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
  3. Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,
  4. And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,
  5. And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,
  1. サルモン から ボアズ が 生れ， ボアズ から オベデ が 生れ，
  2. オベデ から エッサイ が 生れ， エッサイ から ダビデ が 生れた．
  1. And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
  2. And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.
