- わたしたち 强い 者は， 强くない 者たちの 弱さをになうべきであって， 自分だけを 喜ばせることをしてはならない．
- わたしたちひとりびとりは， 隣り 人の 德を 高めるために， その 益を 圖って 彼らを 喜ばすべきである．
- キリスト さえ， ご 自身を 喜ばせることはなさらなかった． むしろ「あなたをそしる 者のそしりが， わたしに 降りかかった 」と 書いてあるとおりであった．
- これまでに 書かれた 事がらは， すべてわたしたちの 敎のために 書かれたのであって， それは 聖書の 與える 忍耐と 慰めとによって， 望みをいだかせるためである．
- どうか， 忍耐と 慰めとの 神が， あなたがたに， キリスト · イエス にならって 互に 同じ 思いをいだかせ，

- We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
- Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
- For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
- For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
- Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

- こうして， 心を 一つにし， 聲を 合わせて， わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト の 父なる 神をあがめさせて 下さるように．
- こういうわけで， キリスト もわたしたちを 受けいれて 下さったように， あなたがたも 互に 受けいれて， 神の 榮光をあらわすべきである．
- わたしは 言う， キリスト は 神の 眞實を 明らかにするために， 割禮のある 者の 僕となられた． それは 父祖たちの 受けた 約束を 保證すると 共に，
- 異邦人もあわれみを 受けて 神をあがめるようになるためである， ／「それゆえ， わたしは， 異邦人の 中で ／あなたにさんびをささげ， ／また， 御名をほめ 歌う 」／と 書いてあるとおりである．
- また， こう 言っている， ／「異邦人よ， 主の 民と 共に 喜べ 」．

- That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
- Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
- And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
- And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

- また， ／「すべての 異邦人よ， 主をほめまつれ． もろもろの 民よ， 主をほめたたえよ 」．
- また イザヤ は 言っている， ／「エッサイ の 根から 芽が 出て， ／異邦人を 治めるために 立ち 上がる 者が 來る． 異邦人は 彼に 望みをおくであろう 」．
- どうか， 望みの 神が， 信仰から 來るあらゆる 喜びと 平安とを， あなたがたに 滿たし， 聖靈の 力によって， あなたがたを， 望みにあふれさせて 下さるように．
- さて， わたしの 兄弟たちよ． あなたがた 自身が， 善意にあふれ， あらゆる 知惠に 滿たされ， そして 互に 訓戒し 合う 力のあることを， わたしは 堅く 信じている．
- しかし， わたしはあなたがたの 記憶を 新たにするために， ところどころ， かなり 思いきって 書いた． それは， 神からわたしに 賜わった 惠みによって， 書いたのである．

- And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
- And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
- Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
- And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
- Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,

- このように 惠みを 受けたのは， わたしが 異邦人のために キリスト · イエス に 仕える 者となり， 神の 福音のために 祭司の 役を 勤め， こうして 異邦人を， 聖靈によってきよめられた， 御旨にかなうささげ 物とするためである．
- だから， わたしは 神への 奉仕については， キリスト · イエス にあって 誇りうるのである．
- わたしは， 異邦人を 從順にするために， キリスト がわたしを 用いて， 言葉とわざ，
- しるしと 不思議との 力， 聖靈の 力によって， ¿かせて 下さったことの 外には， あえて 何も 語ろうとは 思わない． こうして， わたしは エルサレム から 始まり， 巡りめぐって イルリコ に 至るまで， キリスト の 福音を 滿たしてきた．
- その 際， わたしの 切に 望んだところは， 他人の 土台の 上に 建てることをしないで， キリスト の 御名がまだ 唱えられていない 所に 福音を 宣べ 傳えることであった．

- That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
- I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
- For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
- Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
- Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

- すなわち， ／「彼のことを 宣べ 傳えられていなかった 人¿が 見， ／聞いていなかった 人¿が 悟るであろう 」／と 書いてあるとおりである．

- But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
