- この 確信をもって， わたしたちはもう 一度惠みを 得させたいので， まずあなたがたの 所に 行き，
- それからそちらを 通って マケドニヤ におもむき， そして 再び マケドニヤ からあなたがたの 所に 歸り， あなたがたの 見送りを 受けて ユダヤ に 行く 計畵を 立てたのである．
- この 計畵を 立てたのは， 輕率なことであったであろうか． それとも， 自分の 計畵を 肉の 思いによって 計畵したため， わたしの「しかり， しかり 」が 同時に「否， 否 」であったのだろうか．
- 神の 眞實にかけて 言うが， あなたがたに 對するわたしの 言葉は， 「しかり 」と 同時に， 「否 」というようなものではない．
- なぜなら， わたしたち， すなわち， わたしと シルワノ と テモテ とが， あなたがたに 宣べ 傳えた 神の 子 キリスト · イエス は， 「しかり 」となると 同時に「否 」となったのではない． そうではなく， 「しかり 」が イエス において 實現されたのである．

- And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;
- And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.
- When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?
- But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.
- For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

- なぜなら， 神の 約束はことごとく， 彼において「しかり 」となったからである． だから， わたしたちは， 彼によって「アァメン 」と 唱えて， 神に 榮光を 歸するのである．
- あなたがたと 共にわたしたちを， キリスト のうちに 堅くささえ， 油をそそいで 下さったのは， 神である．
- 神はまた， わたしたちに 證印をおし， その 保證として， わたしたちの 心に 御靈を 賜わったのである．
- わたしは 自分の 魂をかけ， 神を 證人に 呼び 求めて 言うが， わたしが コリント に 行かないでいるのは， あなたがたに 對して 寬大でありたいためである．
- わたしたちは， あなたがたの 信仰を 支配する 者ではなく， あなたがたの 喜びのために 共に ¿いている 者にすぎない． あなたがたは， 信仰に 堅く 立っているからである．

- For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
- Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
- Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
- Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
- Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
