- わが 子よ， わたしの 知惠に 心をとめ， わたしの 悟りに 耳をかたむけよ．
- これは， あなたが 愼みを 守り， あなたのくちびるに 知識を 保つためである．
- 遊女のくちびるは 蜜をしたたらせ， その 言葉は 油よりもなめらかである．
- しかしついには， 彼女はにがよもぎのように 苦く， もろ 刃のつるぎのように 銳くなる．
- その 足は 死に 下り， その 步みは 陰府の 道におもむく．

- My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
- That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
- For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
- But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
- Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

- 彼女はいのちの 道に 心をとめず， その 道は 人を 迷わすが， 彼女はそれを 知らない．
- 子供らよ， 今わたしの 言うことを 聞け， わたしの 口の 言葉から， 離れ 去ってはならない．
- あなたの 道を 彼女から 遠く 離し， その 家の 門に 近づいてはならない．
- おそらくはあなたの 譽を 他人にわたし， あなたの 年を 無慈悲な 者にわたすに 至る．
- おそらくは 他人があなたの 資産によって 滿たされ， あなたの 勞苦は 他人の 家に 行く．

- Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.
- Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
- Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
- Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:
- Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;

- そしてあなたの 終りが 來て， あなたの 身と， からだが 滅びるとき， 泣き 悲しんで，
- 言うであろう， 「わたしは 敎訓をいとい， 心に 戒めを 輕んじ，
- 敎師の 聲に 聞き 從わず， わたしを 敎える 者に 耳を 傾けず，
- 集まりの 中， 會衆のうちにあって， わたしは， 破滅に 陷りかけた 」と．

- And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
- And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
- And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
- I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
