예레미야 13:1-14:22

 하나님께서는 썩은 베띠와 포도주 병의 상징적 비유를 통하여 하나님을 떠나 죄로 가득 찬 유다에 심판이 임할 것을 경고하시며 백성들의 회개를 촉구하셨다. 그러나 백성들은 회개하지 않았고, 그로 인해 큰 가뭄이 들었으나 거짓 선지자들의 말에 미혹되어 회개하기를 거부했다. 이처럼 회개할 줄 모르는 유다를 위해 예레미야는 탄식하며 중보 기도하였다.
  
  두 가지 비유(13:1-13:27)    
 
  1. 主はわたしにこう 言われた， 「行って， 亞麻布の 帶を 買い， 腰に 結べ． 水につけてはならない 」．
  2. そこで， わたしは 主の 言葉に 從い， 帶を 買って 腰に 結んだ．
  3. 主の 言葉は， 再びわたしに 臨んで 言った，
  4. 「あなたが 買って 腰に 結んでいる 帶を 手に 取り， 立って ユフラテ の 川へ 行き， その 所の 岩の 裂け 目にこれを 隱せ 」．
  5. わたしは 主が 命じられたように， 行って， これを ユフラテ の 川のほとりに 隱した．
  1. Thus saith the LORD unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.
  2. So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.
  3. And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,
  4. Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
  5. So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.
  1. 多くの 日を 經てのち， 主はわたしに 言われた， 「立って， ユフラテ の 川へ 行き， あなたに 命じて， そこに 隱させた 帶をその 所から 取ってきなさい 」．
  2. そこでわたしは ユフラテ の 川へ 行き， 地を 掘って， 隱した 所から 帶を 取り 出したが， その 帶はそこなわれて， 役に 立たなくなっていた．
  3. その 時， 主の 言葉がわたしに 臨んだ，
  4. 「主はこう 仰せられる， これと 同じように， わたしは ユダ の 高ぶりと エルサレム の 大いなる 高ぶりを， 破るのである．
  5. この 惡しき 民はわたしの 言葉を 聞くことを 拒み， 自分の 心を 强情にして 步み， また 他の 神¿に 從ってこれに 仕え， これを 拜んでいる． 彼らはこの 帶のように， なんの 役にも 立たなくなる 」．
  1. And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.
  2. Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.
  3. Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  4. Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
  5. This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.
  1. 主は 言われる， 「帶が 人の 腰に 着くように， イスラエル のすべての 家と ユダ のすべての 家とをわたしに 着かせ， これをわたしの 民とし， 名とし， 譽とし， 榮えとしようとした． しかし 彼らは 聞き 從おうともしなかった 」．
  2. 「あなたはこの 言葉を 彼らに 語らなければならない， 『イスラエル の 神はこう 言われる， 酒つぼには， みな 酒が 滿ちる 』と． 彼らはあなたに 言うであろう， 『酒つぼに， みな 酒が 滿ちることをわれわれが 知らないことがあろうか 』と．

  5. 耳を 傾けて 聞け， 高ぶってはならない， 主がお 語りになるからである．
  1. For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
  2. Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word; Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?
  3. Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
  4. And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.
  5. Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.
  1. 主がまだやみを 起されないうちに， またあなたがたの 足が ／薄暗がりの 山につまずかないうちに， あなたがたの 神， 主に 榮光を 歸せよ． さもないと， あなたがたが 光を 望んでいる 間に， 主はそれを 暗黑に 變え， それを 暗やみとされるからである．
  2. もしあなたがたが 聞かないならば， わたしの 魂はひそかな 所で， あなたがたの 高ぶりのために 悲しむ． また 主の 群れが， かすめられたために， わたしの 目はいたく 泣いて， 淚を 流すのである．
  3. 王と 太后とに 告げよ， 「あなたがたは 低い 座にすわりなさい． 麗しい 冠はすでに ／あなたがたの 頭から 落ちてしまったからです 」．
  4. ネゲブ の 町¿は 閉ざされて， これを 開く 人がない． ユダ はみな 捕え 移される， ことごとく 捕え 移される．
  5. 「目をあげて， 北の 方からくる 者を 見よ， あなたに 賜わった 群れ， あなたの 麗しい 群れはどこにいるのか．
  1. Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
  2. But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive.
  3. Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.
  4. The cities of the south shall be shut up, and none shall open them: Judah shall be carried away captive all of it, it shall be wholly carried away captive.
  5. Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock?
  1. 彼らがあなたの 親しみ 慣れた 人たちを， あなたの 上に 立ててかしらとするとき， あなたは 何を 言おうとするのか． あなたの 苦しみは， 子を 産む 女の 苦しみのようでないであろうか．
  2. あなたが 心のうちに， 『どうしてこのようなことが ／わたしに 起ったのか 』というならば， あなたの 罪が 重いゆえに， あなたの 着物のすそはあげられ， はずかしめを 受けるのだ．
  3. エチオピヤ びとは ／その 皮膚を 變えることができようか． ひょうはその 斑点を 變えることができようか． もしそれができるならば， 惡に 慣れたあなたがたも， 善を 行うことができる．
  4. わたしはあなたがたを 散らし， 野の 風に 吹き 散らされるもみがらのようにする．
  5. 主は 言われる， これがあなたに 授けられた 定め， わたしが 量ってあなたに 與える 分である． あなたがわたしを 忘れて， 僞りを 賴みとしたからだ．
  1. What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?
  2. And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare.
  3. Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
  4. Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passeth away by the wind of the wilderness.
  5. This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.
  1. わたしはまたあなたの 着物のすそを 顔まであげて， あなたの 恥をあらわす．
  2. わたしはあなたの 憎むべき 行い， あなたの 姦淫と， いななき， 野の 丘の 上で 行ったあなたのみだらな 行いを 見た． エルサレム よ， あなたはわざわいだ， あなたの 淸められるのはいつのことであろうか 」．
  1. Therefore will I discover thy skirts upon thy face, that thy shame may appear.
  2. I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?
 
  재앙과 중보 기도(14:1-14:22)    
 
  1. ひでりの 事について エレミヤ に 臨んだ 主の 言葉．
  2. 「ユダ は 悲しみ， その 町¿の 門は 傾き， 民は 地に 座して 嘆き， エルサレム の 叫びはあがる．
  3. その 君たちは， しもべをつかわして 水をくませる． 彼らが 井戶の 所にきても， 水は 見つからず， むなしい 器をもって 歸り， 恥じ， かつ 當惑して， その 頭をおおう．
  4. 地に 雨が 降らず， 土が， かわいて 割れたため， 農夫は 恥じて， その 頭をおおう．
  5. 野にいる 雌じかでさえも 子を 産んで， これを 捨てる． 草がないからである．
  1. The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth.
  2. Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.
  3. And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.
  4. Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.
  5. Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass.
  1. 野ろばは， はげ 山の 上に 立って， 山犬のようにあえぎ， 草のないために， その 目はくらむ．
  2. 主よ， われわれの 罪がわれわれを 訴えて ／不利な 證言をしても， あなたの 名のために， 事をなしてください． われわれの 背信の 數は 多く， あなたに 向かって 罪を 犯しました．
  3. イスラエル の 望みなる 主よ， 惱みの 時の 救主よ， なぜ， あなたはこの 地に 住む 異邦の 人のようにし， また 一夜の 宿りのために 立ち 寄る 旅びとのように ／なさらねばならないのですか．
  4. なぜ， あなたは， うろたえている 人のようにし， また 人を 救いえない 勇士のように ／なさらねばならないのですか． 主よ， あなたはわれわれのうちにいらせられます． われわれは， み 名によって 呼ばれている 者です． われわれを 見捨てないでください 」．
  5. この 民について 主はこう 言われる， 「彼らはこのように 好んで， さまよい， その 足をとどめることをしなかったので， 主は 彼らを 喜ばず， いまそのとがを 覺え， その 罪を 罰するのだ 」．
  1. And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.
  2. O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.
  3. O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?
  4. Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.
  5. Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
  1. 主はわたしに 言われた， 「この 民のために 惠みを 祈ってはならない．
  2. 彼らが 斷食しても， わたしは 彼らの 呼ぶのを 聞かない． §祭と 素祭をささげても， わたしはそれを 受けない． かえって， つるぎと， ききん， および 疫病をもって， 彼らを 滅ぼしてしまう 」．
  3. わたしは 言った， 「ああ， 主なる 神よ， 預言者たちはこの 民に 向かい， 『あなたがたは， つるぎを 見ることはない． ききんもこない． わたしはこの 所に 確かな 平安をあなたがたに 與える 』と 言っています 」．
  4. 主はわたしに 言われた， 「預言者らはわたしの 名によって 僞りの 預言をしている． わたしは 彼らをつかわさなかった． また 彼らに 命じたこともなく， 話したこともない． 彼らは 僞りの 默示と， 役に 立たない 占い， および 自分の 心でつくりあげた 欺きをあなたがたに 預言しているのだ．
  5. それゆえ， わたしがつかわさないのに， わたしの 名によって 預言して， 『つるぎとききんは， この 地にこない 』と 言っているあの 預言者について， 主はこう 仰せられる， この 預言者らは， つるぎとききんに 滅ぼされる．
  1. Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.
  2. When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.
  3. Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.
  4. Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
  5. Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.
  1. また 彼らの 預言を 聞く 民は， ききんとつるぎとによって， エルサレム のちまたに 投げ 捨てられる． だれもこれを 葬る 者はない． 彼らとその 妻， およびそのむすこ 娘も 同樣である． わたしが 彼らの 惡をその 上に 注ぐからである．
  2. この 言葉を 彼らに 語れ， 『わたしの 目は 夜も ¿も 絶えず 淚を 流す． わが 民の 娘であるおとめが 大きな 傷と ／重い 打擊によって 滅ぼされるからである．
  3. わたしが 出て 畑に 行くと， つるぎで 殺された 者がある． 町にはいると， ききんで 病んでいる 者がある． 預言者も 祭司も 共にその 地にさまよって， 知るところがない 』」．
  4. あなたはまったく ユダ を 捨てられたのですか． あなたの 心は シオン をきらわれるのですか． あなたはわれわれを 擊ったのに， どうしていやしてはくださらないのですか． われわれは 平安を 望んだが， 良い 事はこなかった． いやされる 時を 望んだが， かえって 恐怖が 來た．
  5. 主よ， われわれは 自分の 惡と， 先祖のとがとを 認めています． われわれはあなたに 罪を 犯しました．
  1. And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
  2. Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
  3. If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.
  4. Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!
  5. We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.
  1. み 名のために， われわれを 捨てないでください． あなたの 榮えあるみ 位を ／はずかしめないでください． あなたがわれわれにお 立てになった 契約を 覺えて， それを 破らないでください．
  2. 異邦の 僞りの 神¿のうちに， 雨を 降らせうる 者があるであろうか． 天が 自分で 夕立を 降らすことができようか． われわれの 神， 主よ， あなたこそ， これをなさる 方ではありませんか． われわれの 待ち 望むのはあなたです． あなたがこれらすべてのことをなさるからです．
  1. Do not abhor us, for thy name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.
  2. Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.
