- 知惠は 寶石にまさり， あなたがたの 望むすべての 物は， これと 比べるにたりない．
- 知惠であるわたしは 悟りをすみかとし， 知識と 愼みとをもつ．
- 主を 恐れるとは 惡を 憎むことである． わたしは 高ぶりと， おごりと， 惡しき 道と， 僞りの 言葉とを 憎む．
- 計りごとと， 確かな 知惠とは， わたしにある， わたしには 悟りがあり， わたしには 力がある．
- わたしによって， 王たる 者は 世を 治め， 君たる 者は 正しい 定めを 立てる．

- For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
- I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
- The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
- Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
- By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

- わたしによって， 主たる 者は 支配し， つかさたる 者は 地を 治める．
- わたしは， わたしを 愛する 者を 愛する， わたしをせつに 求める 者は， わたしに 出會う．
- 富と 譽とはわたしにあり， すぐれた 寶と 繁榮もまたそうである．
- わたしの 實は 金よりも 精金よりも 良く， わたしの 産物は 精銀にまさる．
- わたしは 正義の 道， 公正な 道筋の 中を 步み，

- By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
- I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
- Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
- My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
- I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
