- あなたは 彼らに 勸めて， 支配者， 權威ある 者に 服し， これに 從い， いつでも 良いわざをする 用意があり，
- だれをもそしらず， 爭わず， 寬容であって， すべての 人に 對してどこまでも 柔和な 態度を 示すべきことを， 思い 出させなさい．
- わたしたちも 以前には， 無分別で， 不從順な， 迷っていた 者であって， さまざまの 情欲と 快樂との 奴隷になり， 惡意とねたみとで 日を 過ごし， 人に 憎まれ， 互に 憎み 合っていた．
- ところが， わたしたちの 救主なる 神の 慈悲と 博愛とが 現れたとき，
- わたしたちの 行った 義のわざによってではなく， ただ 神のあわれみによって， 再生の 洗いを 受け， 聖靈により 新たにされて， わたしたちは 救われたのである．

- Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
- To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

- この 聖靈は， わたしたちの 救主 イエス · キリスト をとおして， わたしたちの 上に 豊かに 注がれた．
- これは， わたしたちが， キリスト の 惠みによって 義とされ， 永遠のいのちを 望むことによって， 御國をつぐ 者となるためである．
- この 言葉は 確實である． わたしは， あなたがそれらのことを 主張するのを 願っている． それは， 神を 信じている 者たちが， 努めて 良いわざを 勵むことを 心がけるようになるためである． これは 良いことであって， 人¿の 益となる．
- しかし， 愚かな 議論と， 系圖と， 爭いと， 律法についての 論爭とを， 避けなさい． それらは 無益かつ 空虛なことである．
- 異端者は， 一， 二度， 訓戒を 加えた 上で 退けなさい．

- Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
- That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
- This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
- But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
- A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

- わたしたちの 仲間も， さし 迫った 必要に 備えて， 努めて 良いわざを 勵み， 實を 結ばぬ 者とならないように， 心がけるべきである．
- わたしと 共にいる 一同の 者から， あなたによろしく． わたしたちを 愛している 信徒たちに， よろしく． 惠みが， あなたがた 一同と 共にあるように．
