- すべての 人と 相和し， また， 自らきよくなるように 努めなさい． きよくならなければ， だれも 主を 見ることはできない．
- 氣をつけて， 神の 惠みからもれることがないように， また， 苦い 根がはえ 出て， あなたがたを 惱まし， それによって 多くの 人が 汚されることのないようにしなさい．
- また， 一杯の 食のために 長子の 權利を 賣った エサウ のように， 不品行な 俗惡な 者にならないようにしなさい．
- あなたがたの 知っているように， 彼はその 後， 祝福を 受け 繼ごうと 願ったけれども， 捨てられてしまい， 淚を 流してそれを 求めたが， 悔改めの 機會を 得なかったのである．
- あなたがたが 近づいているのは， 手で 觸れることができ， 火が 燃え， 黑雲や 暗やみやあらしにつつまれ，

- Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
- Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
- Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
- For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
- For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

- また， ラッパ の 響や， 聞いた 者たちがそれ 以上， 耳にしたくないと 願ったような 言葉がひびいてきた 山ではない．
- そこでは， 彼らは， 「けものであっても， 山に 觸れたら， 石で 打ち 殺されてしまえ 」という 命令の 言葉に， 耐えることができなかったのである．
- その 光景が 恐ろしかったので モ ― セ さえも， 「わたしは 恐ろしさのあまり， おののいている 」と 言ったほどである．
- しかしあなたがたが 近づいているのは， シオン の 山， 生ける 神の 都， 天にある エルサレム ， 無數の 天使の 祝會，
- 天に 登錄されている 長子たちの 敎會， 万民の 審判者なる 神， 全うされた 義人の 靈，

- And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
- (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
- And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
- But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
- To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

- 新しい 契約の 仲保者 イエス ， ならびに， アベル の 血よりも 力强く 語るそそがれた 血である．
- あなたがたは， 語っておられるかたを 拒むことがないように， 注意しなさい． もし 地上で 御旨を 告げた 者を 拒んだ 人¿が， 罰をのがれることができなかったなら， 天から 告げ 示すかたを 退けるわたしたちは， なおさらそうなるのではないか．
- あの 時には， 御聲が 地を 震わせた． しかし 今は， 約束して 言われた， 「わたしはもう 一度， 地ばかりでなく 天をも 震わそう 」．
- この「もう 一度 」という 言葉は， 震われないものが 殘るために， 震われるものが， 造られたものとして 取り 除かれることを 示している．
- このように， わたしたちは 震われない 國を 受けているのだから， 感謝をしようではないか． そして 感謝しつつ， 恐れかしこみ， 神に 喜ばれるように， 仕えていこう．

- And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things that that of Abel.
- See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
- Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
- And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
- Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

- わたしたちの 神は， 實に， 燒きつくす 火である．

- For our God is a consuming fire.
