- 彼らが 出て 行くと， シモン という 名の クレネ 人に 出會ったので， イエス の 十字架を 無理に 負わせた．
- そして， ゴルゴダ ， すなわち， されこうべの 場， という 所にきたとき，
- 彼らはにがみをまぜたぶどう 酒を 飮ませようとしたが， イエス はそれをなめただけで， 飮もうとされなかった．
- 彼らは イエス を 十字架につけてから， くじを 引いて， その 着物を 分け，
- そこにすわって イエス の 番をしていた．

- As they were coming out, they found a man of Cyrene named Simon, whom they pressed into service to bear His cross.
- And when they came to a place called Golgotha, which means Place of a Skull,
- they gave Him wine to drink mixed with gall; and after tasting it, He was unwilling to drink.
- And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.
- And sitting down, they began to keep watch over Him there.

- そしてその 頭の 上の 方に， 「これは ユダヤ 人の 王 イエス 」と 書いた 罪狀書きをかかげた．
- 同時に， ふたりの 强盜が イエス と 一緖に， ひとりは 右に， ひとりは 左に， 十字架につけられた．
- そこを 通りかかった 者たちは， 頭を 振りながら， イエス をののしって
- 言った， 「神殿を 打ちこわして 三日のうちに 建てる 者よ． もし 神の 子なら， 自分を 救え． そして 十字架からおりてこい 」．
- 祭司長たちも 同じように， 律法學者， 長老たちと 一緖になって， 嘲弄して 言った，

- And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
- At that time two robbers were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left.
- And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads
- and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."
- In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying,

- 「他人を 救ったが， 自分自身を 救うことができない． あれが イスラエル の 王なのだ． いま 十字架からおりてみよ． そうしたら 信じよう．
- 彼は 神にたよっているが， 神のおぼしめしがあれば， 今， 救ってもらうがよい． 自分は 神の 子だと 言っていたのだから 」．
- 一緖に 十字架につけられた 强盜どもまでも， 同じように イエス をののしった．
- さて， ¿の 十二時から 地上の 全面が 暗くなって， 三時に 及んだ．
- そして 三時ごろに， イエス は 大聲で 叫んで， 「エリ ， エリ ， レマ ， サバクタニ 」と 言われた． それは「わが 神， わが 神， どうしてわたしをお 見捨てになったのですか 」という 意味である．

- "He saved others; He cannot save Himself He is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him.
- "HE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
- The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words.
- Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour.
- About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" that is, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"

- すると， そこに 立っていたある 人¿が， これを 聞いて 言った， 「あれは エリヤ を 呼んでいるのだ 」．
- するとすぐ， 彼らのうちのひとりが 走り 寄って， 海綿を 取り， それに 酢いぶどう 酒を 含ませて 葦の 棒につけ， イエス に 飮ませようとした．
- ほかの 人¿は 言った， 「待て， エリヤ が 彼を 救いに 來るかどうか， 見ていよう 」．
- イエス はもう 一度大聲で 叫んで， ついに 息をひきとられた．
- すると 見よ， 神殿の 幕が 上から 下まで 眞二つに 裂けた． また 地震があり， 岩が 裂け，

- And some of those who were standing there, when they heard it, began saying, "This man is calling for Elijah."
- Immediately one of them ran, and taking a sponge, he filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink.
- But the rest of them said, "Let us see whether Elijah will come to save Him."
- And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
- And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.

- また 墓が 開け， 眠っている 多くの 聖徒たちの 死體が 生き 返った．
- そして イエス の 復活ののち， 墓から 出てきて， 聖なる 都にはいり， 多くの 人に 現れた．
- 百卒長， および 彼と 一緖に イエス の 番をしていた 人¿は， 地震や， いろいろのできごとを 見て 非常に 恐れ， 「まことに， この 人は 神の 子であった 」と 言った．
- また， そこには 遠くの 方から 見ている 女たちも 多くいた． 彼らは イエス に 仕えて， ガリラヤ から 從ってきた 人たちであった．
- その 中には， マグダラ の マリヤ ， ヤコブ と ヨセフ との 母 マリヤ ， また ゼベダイ の 子たちの 母がいた．

- The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
- and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many.
- Now the centurion, and those who were with him keeping guard over Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were happening, became very frightened and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
- Many women were there looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee while ministering to Him.
- Among them was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

- 夕方になってから， アリマタヤ の 金持で， ヨセフ という 名の 人がきた． 彼もまた イエス の 弟子であった．
- この 人が ピラト の 所へ 行って， イエス のからだの 引取りかたを 願った． そこで， ピラト はそれを 渡すように 命じた．
- ヨセフ は 死體を 受け 取って， きれいな 亞麻布に 包み，
- 岩を 掘って 造った 彼の 新しい 墓に 納め， そして 墓の 入口に 大きい 石をころがしておいて， 歸った．
- マグダラ の マリヤ とほかの マリヤ とが， 墓にむかってそこにすわっていた．

- When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.
- This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him.
- And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
- and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the entrance of the tomb and went away.
- And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the grave.

- あくる 日は 準備の 日の 翌日であったが， その 日に， 祭司長， パリサイ 人たちは， ピラト のもとに 集まって 言った，
- 「長官， あの 僞り 者がまだ 生きていたとき， 『三日の 後に 自分はよみがえる 』と 言ったのを， 思い 出しました．
- ですから， 三日目まで 墓の 番をするように， さしずをして 下さい． そうしないと， 弟子たちがきて 彼を 盜み 出し， 『イエス は 死人の 中から， よみがえった 』と， 民衆に 言いふらすかも 知れません． そうなると， みんなが 前よりも， もっとひどくだまされることになりましょう 」．
- ピラト は 彼らに 言った， 「番人がいるから， 行ってできる 限り， 番をさせるがよい 」．
- そこで， 彼らは 行って 石に 封印をし， 番人を 置いて 墓の 番をさせた．

- Now on the next day, the day after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together with Pilate,
- and said, "Sir, we remember that when He was still alive that deceiver said, 'After three days I am to rise again.'
- "Therefore, give orders for the grave to be made secure until the third day, otherwise His disciples may come and steal Him away and say to the people, 'He has risen from the dead,' and the last deception will be worse than the first."
- Pilate said to them, "You have a guard; go, make it as secure as you know how."
- And they went and made the grave secure, and along with the guard they set a seal on the stone.
