열왕기하 13:1-14:29

 여호아하스와 요아스는 비록 바알 우상은 제거하였으나 여로보암이 만든 금송아지 우상 숭배에서는 벗어나지 못하므로써 아람군의 침입을 받는 징벌을 받았다. 아람의 압제하에 고통받는 이스라엘에 대해 엘리사는 하나님의 회복을 예언하고 운명했다. 한편 유다 왕 아마샤는 선정을 베풀며 강성해 갔으나 요아스에게 도전했다가 크게 패하고 신하들에 의해 피살되었다. 이스라엘 왕 여로보암 2세는 악정에도 불구하고 번영을 이루어 갔다.
  
  여호아하스와 요아스의 통치(13:1-13:25)    
 
  1. ユダ の 王 アハジヤ の 子 ヨアシ の 第二十三年に エヒウ の 子 エホアハズ は サマリヤ で イスラエル の 王となり， 十七年世を 治めた．
  2. 彼は 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行い， イスラエル に 罪を 犯させた ネバテ の 子 ヤラベアム の 罪を 行いつづけて， それを 離れなかった．
  3. そこで 主は イスラエル に 對して 怒りを 發し， エホアハズ の 治世の 間， 絶えず イスラエル を スリヤ の 王 ハザエル の 手にわたし， また ハザエル の 子 ベネハダデ の 手にわたされた．
  4. しかし エホアハズ が 主に 願い 求めたので， 主はついにこれを 聞きいれられた． スリヤ の 王によって 惱まされた イスラエル の 惱みを 見られたからである．
  5. それで 主がひとりの 救助者を イスラエル に 賜わったので， イスラエル の 人¿は スリヤ びとの 手をのがれ， 前のように 自分たちの 天幕に 住むようになった．
  1. In the twenty-third year of Joash the son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz the son of Jehu became king over Israel at Samaria, and he reigned seventeen years.
  2. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel sin; he did not turn from them.
  3. So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and He gave them continually into the hand of Hazael king of Aram, and into the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael.
  4. Then Jehoahaz entreated the favor of the LORD, and the LORD listened to him; for He saw the oppression of Israel, how the king of Aram oppressed them.
  5. The LORD gave Israel a deliverer, so that they escaped from under the hand of the Arameans; and the sons of Israel lived in their tents as formerly.
  1. それにもかかわらず， 彼らは イスラエル に 罪を 犯させた ヤラベアム の 家の 罪を 離れず， それを 行いつづけた． また アシラ の 像も サマリヤ に 立ったままであった．
  2. さきに スリヤ の 王が 彼らを 滅ぼし， 踏み ¿くちりのようにしたので エホアハズ の 軍勢で 殘ったものは， ただ 騎兵五十人， 戰車十兩， 步兵一万人のみであった．
  3. エホアハズ その 他の 事績と， 彼がしたすべての 事およびその 武勇は， イスラエル の 王の 歷代志の 書にしるされているではないか．
  4. エホアハズ は 先祖たちと 共に 眠ったので， 彼を サマリヤ に 葬った． その 子 ヨアシ が 代って 王となった．
  5. ユダ の 王 ヨアシ の 第三十七年に， エホアハズ の 子 ヨアシ は サマリヤ で イスラエル の 王となり， 十六年世を 治めた．
  1. Nevertheless they did not turn away from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel sin, but walked in them; and the Asherah also remained standing in Samaria.
  2. For he left to Jehoahaz of the army not more than fifty horsemen and ten chariots and 10,000 footmen, for the king of Aram had destroyed them and made them like the dust at threshing.
  3. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoahaz, and all that he did and his might, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
  4. And Jehoahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in Samaria; and Joash his son became king in his place.
  5. In the thirty-seventh year of Joash king of Judah, Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned sixteen years.
  1. 彼は 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行い， イスラエル に 罪を 犯させた ネバテ の 子 ヤラベアム のもろもろの 罪を 離れず， それに 步んだ．
  2. ヨアシ のその 他の 事績と， 彼がしたすべての 事および ユダ の 王 アマジヤ と 戰ったその 武勇は， イスラエル の 王の 歷代志の 書にしるされているではないか．

  4. さて エリシャ は 死ぬ 病氣にかかっていたが， イスラエル の 王 ヨアシ は 下ってきて 彼の 顔の 上に 淚を 流し， 「わが 父よ， わが 父よ， イスラエル の 戰車よ， その 騎兵よ 」と 言った．
  5. エリシャ は 彼に「弓と 矢を 取りなさい 」と 言ったので， 弓と 矢を 取った．
  1. He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not turn away from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel sin, but he walked in them.
  2. Now the rest of the acts of Joash and all that he did and his might with which he fought against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
  3. So Joash slept with his fathers, and Jeroboam sat on his throne; and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
  4. When Elisha became sick with the illness of which he was to die, Joash the king of Israel came down to him and wept over him and said, "My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!"
  5. Elisha said to him, "Take a bow and arrows." So he took a bow and arrows.
  1. エリシャ はまた イスラエル の 王に「弓に 手をかけなさい 」と 言ったので， 手をかけた． すると エリシャ は 自分の 手を 王の 手の 上におき，
  2. 「東向きの 窓をあけなさい 」と 言ったので， それをあけると， エリシャ はまた「射なさい 」と 言った． 彼が 射ると， エリシャ は 言った， 「主の 救の 矢， スリヤ に 對する 救の 矢． あなたは アペク で スリヤ びとを 擊ち 破り， 彼らを 滅ぼしつくすであろう 」．

  4. すると 神の 人は 怒って 言った， 「あなたは 五度も 六度も 射るべきであった． そうしたならば， あなたは スリヤ を 擊ち 破り， それを 滅ぼしつくすことができたであろう． しかし 今あなたはそうしなかったので， スリヤ を 擊ち 破ることはただ 三度だけであろう 」．
  5. こうして エリシャ は 死んで 葬られた． さて モアブ の 略奪隊は 年が 改まるごとに， 國にはいって 來るのを 常とした．
  1. Then he said to the king of Israel, "Put your hand on the bow." And he put his hand on it, then Elisha laid his hands on the king's hands.
  2. He said, "Open the window toward the east," and he opened it. Then Elisha said, "Shoot!" And he shot. And he said, "The LORD'S arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory over Aram; for you will defeat the Arameans at Aphek until you have destroyed them."
  3. Then he said, "Take the arrows," and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, "Strike the ground," and he struck it three times and stopped.
  4. So the man of God was angry with him and said, "You should have struck five or six times, then you would have struck Aram until you would have destroyed it But now you shall strike Aram only three times."
  5. Elisha died, and they buried him. Now the bands of the Moabites would invade the land in the spring of the year.
  1. 時に， ひとりの 人を 葬ろうとする 者があったが， 略奪隊を 見たので， その 人を エリシャ の 墓に 投げ 入れて 去った． その 人は エリシャ の 骨に 觸れるとすぐ 生きかえって 立ちあがった．
  2. スリヤ の 王 ハザエル は エホアハズ の 一生の 間， イスラエル を 惱ましたが，
  3. 主は アブラハム ， イサク ， ヤコブ と 結ばれた 契約のゆえに イスラエル を 惠み， これをあわれみ， これを 顧みて 滅ぼすことを 好まず， なおこれをみ 前から 捨てられなかった．
  4. スリヤ の 王 ハザエル はついに 死んで， その 子 ベネハダデ が 代って 王となった．
  5. そこで エホアハズ の 子 ヨアシ は， 父 エホアハズ が ハザエル に 攻め 取られた 町¿を， ハザエル の 子 ベネハダデ の 手から 取り 返した． すなわち ヨアシ は 三度彼を 擊ち 破って， イスラエル の 町¿を 取り 返した．
  1. As they were burying a man, behold, they saw a marauding band; and they cast the man into the grave of Elisha. And when the man touched the bones of Elisha he revived and stood up on his feet.
  2. Now Hazael king of Aram had oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.
  3. But the LORD was gracious to them and had compassion on them and turned to them because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them or cast them from His presence until now.
  4. When Hazael king of Aram died, Ben-hadad his son became king in his place.
  5. Then Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again from the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael the cities which he had taken in war from the hand of Jehoahaz his father Three times Joash defeated him and recovered the cities of Israel.
 
  아마샤와 여로보암의 통치(14:1-14:29)    
 
  1. イスラエル の 王 エホアハズ の 子 ヨアシ の 第二年に， ユダ の 王 ヨアシ の 子 アマジヤ が 王となった．
  2. 彼は 王となった 時二十五歲で， 二十九年の 間 エルサレム で 世を 治めた． その 母は エルサレム の 出身で， 名を エホアダン といった．
  3. アマジヤ は 主の 目にかなう 事をおこなったが， 先祖 ダビデ のようではなかった． 彼はすべての 事を 父 ヨアシ がおこなったようにおこなった．
  4. ただし 高き 所は 除かなかったので， 民はなおその 高き 所で ¿牲をささげ， 香をたいた．
  5. 彼は 國が 彼の 手のうちに 强くなった 時， 父 ヨアシ 王を 殺害した 家來たちを 殺したが，
  1. In the second year of Joash son of Joahaz king of Israel, Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah became king.
  2. He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddin of Jerusalem.
  3. He did right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father; he did according to all that Joash his father had done.
  4. Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
  5. Now it came about, as soon as the kingdom was firmly in his hand, that he killed his servants who had slain the king his father.
  1. その 殺害者の 子供たちは 殺さなかった． これは モ ― セ の 律法の 書にしるされている 所に 從ったのであって， そこに 主は 命じて「父は 子のゆえに 殺さるべきではない． 子は 父のゆえに 殺さるべきではない． おのおの 自分の 罪のゆえに 殺さるべきである 」と 言われている．
  2. アマジヤ はまた 鹽の 谷で エドム びと 一万人を 殺した． また セラ を 攻め 取って， その 名を ヨクテル と 名づけたが， 今日までそのとおりである．
  3. そこで アマジヤ が エヒウ の 子 エホアハズ の 子である イスラエル の 王 ヨアシ に 使者をつかわして， 「さあ， われわれは 互に 顔を 合わせよう 」と 言わせたので，
  4. イスラエル の 王 ヨアシ は ユダ の 王 アマジヤ に 言い 送った， 「かつて レバノン のいばらが レバノン の 香柏に， 『あなたの 娘をわたしのむすこの 妻にください 』と 言い 送ったことがあったが， レバノン の 野¿がとおって， そのいばらを 踏み 倒した．
  5. あなたは 大いに エドム を 擊って， 心にたかぶっているが， その 榮譽に 滿足して 家にとどまりなさい． 何ゆえ， あなたは 災をひき 起して， 自分も ユダ も 共に 滅びるような 事をするのですか 」．
  1. But the sons of the slayers he did not put to death, according to what is written in the book of the Law of Moses, as the LORD commanded, saying, "The fathers shall not be put to death for the sons, nor the sons be put to death for the fathers; but each shall be put to death for his own sin."
  2. He killed of Edom in the Valley of Salt 10,000 and took Sela by war, and named it Joktheel to this day.
  3. Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, "Come, let us face each other."
  4. Jehoash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, "The thorn bush which was in Lebanon sent to the cedar which was in Lebanon, saying, 'Give your daughter to my son in marriage.' But there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trampled the thorn bush.
  5. "You have indeed defeated Edom, and your heart has become proud. Enjoy your glory and stay at home; for why should you provoke trouble so that you, even you, would fall, and Judah with you?"
  1. しかし アマジヤ が 聞きいれなかったので， イスラエル の 王 ヨアシ は 上ってきた． そこで 彼と ユダ の 王 アマジヤ は ユダ の ベテシメシ で 互に 顔をあわせたが，
  2. ユダ は イスラエル に 敗られて， おのおのその 天幕に 逃げ 歸った．
  3. イスラエル の 王 ヨアシ は アハジヤ の 子 ヨアシ の 子である ユダ の 王 アマジヤ を ベテシメシ で 捕え， エルサレム にきて， エルサレム の 城壁を エフライム の 門から 隅の 門まで， おおよそ 四百 キュビト にわたってこわし，
  4. また 主の 宮と 王の 家の 倉にある 金銀およびもろもろの 器をことごとく 取り， かつ 人質をとって サマリヤ に 歸った．
  5. ヨアシ のその 他の 事績と， その 武勇および 彼が ユダ の 王 アマジヤ と 戰った 事は， イスラエル の 王の 歷代志の 書にしるされているではないか．
  1. But Amaziah would not listen. So Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah faced each other at Beth-shemesh, which belongs to Judah.
  2. Judah was defeated by Israel, and they fled each to his tent.
  3. Then Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and came to Jerusalem and tore down the wall of Jerusalem from the Gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, 400 cubits.
  4. He took all the gold and silver and all the utensils which were found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasuries of the king's house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.
  5. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
  1. ヨアシ はその 先祖たちと 共に 眠って， イスラエル の 王たちと 共に サマリヤ に 葬られ， その 子 ヤラベアム が 代って 王となった．
  2. ヨアシ の 子である ユダ の 王 アマジヤ は， エホアハズ の 子である イスラエル の 王 ヨアシ が 死んで 後， なお 十五年生きながらえた．
  3. アマジヤ のその 他の 事績は， ユダ の 王の 歷代志の 書にしるされているではないか．
  4. 時に 人¿が エルサレム で 徒黨を 結び， 彼に 敵對したので， 彼は ラキシ に 逃げていったが， その 人¿は ラキシ に 人をつかわして 彼をそこで 殺させた．
  5. 人¿は 彼を 馬に 載せて 運んできて， エルサレム で 彼を 先祖たちと 共に ダビデ の 町に 葬った．
  1. So Jehoash slept with his fathers and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son became king in his place.
  2. Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived fifteen years after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel.
  3. Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
  4. They conspired against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish and killed him there.
  5. Then they brought him on horses and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.
  1. そして ユダ の 民は 皆 アザリヤ を 父 アマジヤ の 代りに 王とした． 時に 年十六歲であった．
  2. 彼は エラテ の 町を 建てて， これを ユダ に 復歸させた． これはかの 王がその 先祖たちと 共に 眠った 後であった．
  3. ユダ の 王 ヨアシ の 子 アマジヤ の 第十五年に， イスラエル の 王 ヨアシ の 子 ヤラ べ アム が サマリヤ で 王となって 四十一年の 間， 世を 治めた．
  4. 彼は 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行い， イスラエル に 罪を 犯させた ネバテ の 子 ヤラベアム の 罪を 離れなかった．
  5. 彼は ハマテ の 入口から アラバ の 海まで， イスラエル の 領域を 回復した． イスラエル の 神， 主が ガテヘペル の アミッタイ の 子である， そのしもべ 預言者 ヨナ によって 言われた 言葉のとおりである．
  1. All the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the place of his father Amaziah.
  2. He built Elath and restored it to Judah after the king slept with his fathers.
  3. In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah, Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel became king in Samaria, and reigned forty-one years.
  4. He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
  5. He restored the border of Israel from the entrance of Hamath as far as the Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the LORD, the God of Israel, which He spoke through His servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was of Gath-hepher.
  1. 主は イスラエル の 惱みの 非常に 激しいのを 見られた． そこにはつながれた 者も， 自由な 者もいなくなり， また イスラエル を 助ける 者もいなかった．
  2. しかし 主は イスラエル の 名を 天が 下から 消し 去ろうとは 言われなかった． そして 彼らを ヨアシ の 子 ヤラベアム の 手によって 救われた．
  3. ヤラベアム のその 他の 事績と， 彼がしたすべての 事およびその 武勇， すなわち 彼が 戰爭をした 事および， かつて ユダ に 屬していた ダマスコ と ハマテ を， イスラエル に 復歸させた 事は， イスラエル の 王の 歷代志の 書にしるされているではないか．
  4. ヤラベアム はその 先祖である イスラエル の 王たちと 共に 眠って， その 子 ゼカリヤ が 代って 王となった．
  1. For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, which was very bitter; for there was neither bond nor free, nor was there any helper for Israel.
  2. The LORD did not say that He would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, but He saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
  3. Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam and all that he did and his might, how he fought and how he recovered for Israel, Damascus and Hamath, which had belonged to Judah, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
  4. And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel, and Zechariah his son became king in his place.
