- しかし， このことは 知っておかねばならない． 終りの 時には， 苦難の 時代が 來る．
- その 時， 人¿は 自分を 愛する 者， 金を 愛する 者， 大言壯語する 者， 高慢な 者， 神をそしる 者， 親に 逆らう 者， 恩を 知らぬ 者， 神聖を 汚す 者，
- 無情な 者， 融和しない 者， そしる 者， 無節制な 者， 粗暴な 者， 善を 好まない 者，
- 裏切り 者， 亂暴者， 高言をする 者， 神よりも 快樂を 愛する 者，
- 信心深い 樣子をしながらその 實を 捨てる 者となるであろう． こうした 人¿を 避けなさい．

- But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
- For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
- unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
- treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
- holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

- 彼らの 中には， 人の 家にもぐり ¿み， そして， さまざまの 欲に 心を 奪われて， 多くの 罪を 積み 重ねている 愚かな 女どもを， とりこにしている 者がある．
- 彼女たちは， 常に 學んではいるが， いつになっても 眞理の 知識に 達することができない．
- ちょうど， ヤンネ と ヤンブレ とが モ ― セ に 逆らったように， こうした 人¿も 眞理に 逆らうのである． 彼らは 知性の 腐った， 信仰の 失格者である．
- しかし， 彼らはそのまま 進んでいけるはずがない． 彼らの 愚かさは， あのふたりの 場合と 同じように， 多くの 人に 知れて 來るであろう．
- しかしあなたは， わたしの 敎， 步み， こころざし， 信仰， 寬容， 愛， 忍耐，

- For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,
- always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
- Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.
- But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes's and Jambres's folly was also.

- それから， わたしが アンテオケ ， イコニオム ， ルステラ で 受けた 數¿の 迫害， 苦難に， よくも 續いてきてくれた． そのひどい 迫害にわたしは 耐えてきたが， 主はそれらいっさいのことから， 救い 出して 下さったのである．
- いったい， キリスト · イエス にあって 信心深く 生きようとする 者は， みな， 迫害を 受ける．
- 惡人と 詐欺師とは 人を 惑わし 人に 惑わされて， 惡から 惡へと 落ちていく．
- しかし， あなたは， 自分が 學んで 確信しているところに， いつもとどまっていなさい． あなたは， それをだれから 學んだか 知っており，
- また 幼い 時から， 聖書に 親しみ， それが， キリスト · イエス に 對する 信仰によって 救に 至る 知惠を， あなたに 與えうる 書物であることを 知っている．

- persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!
- Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
- But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
- You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
- and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

- 聖書は， すべて 神の 靈感を 受けて 書かれたものであって， 人を 敎え， 戒め， 正しくし， 義に 導くのに 有益である．
- それによって， 神の 人が， あらゆる 良いわざに 對して 十分な 準備ができて， 完全にととのえられた 者になるのである．

- All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
