아모스

  아모스가 활동할 당시의 북이스라엘은 경제적으로는 번영을 누렸으나 부정과 부패, 우상 숭배가 만연하였다. 이에 아모스는 하나님의 심판의 날을 선포하면서 백성들에게 공의를 행할 것과 하나님께 돌아올 것을 외쳤다.

  1장부터 2장까지는 유다를 포함한 이스라엘의 주변 7개 국가를 향한 심판의 메시지를 선포하고 있다. 그리고 3장부터 6장까지는 이스라엘에 임할 하나님의 심판의 불가피성을 밝힌 후, 심판을 피하는 길로 야웨 하나님을 찾고 공의를 행할 것을 외치고 있다. 7장부터 9장까지는 지금까지 예언한 이스라엘 멸망의 모습을 다섯 가지 환상을 통해 확인하면서 남은 자들의 회복과 메시아 왕국에 대한 하나님의 약속을 전하고 있다.

 

 

아모스 1:1-3:15

 아모스는 다메섹, 가사, 두로, 에돔, 암몬, 모압의 여섯 이방 나라와 남유다와 북이스라엘을 향해 하나님의 심판을 선포하였다. 이방 나라들은 서너 가지의 죄를 범했을 뿐 아니라 이스라엘을 대적했기에 하나님의 심판을 받게 되었다. 그리고 남유다는 야웨의 율법을 멸시하고 어긴 죄로, 북이스라엘은 사회적 불의와 우상 신전에서 가증한 짓을 행한 죄로 하나님의 심판을 받게 되었다.
  
  이방 나라의 심판(1:1-2:3)    
 
  1. テコア の 牧者のひとりである アモス の 言葉． これは ユダ の 王 ウジヤ の 世， イスラエル の 王 ヨアシ の 子 ヤラベアム の 世， 地震の 二年前に， 彼が イスラエル について 示されたものである．
  2. 彼は 言った， 「主は シオン からほえ， エルサレム から 聲を 出される． 牧者の 牧場は 嘆き， カルメル の 頂は 枯れる 」．
  3. 主はこう 言われる， 「ダマスコ の 三つのとが， 四つのとがのために， わたしはこれを 罰してゆるさない． これは 彼らが 鐵のすり 板で， ギレアデ を 踏みにじったからである．
  4. わたしは ハザエル の 家に 火を 送り， ベネハダデ のもろもろの 宮殿を 燒き 滅ぼす．
  5. わたしは ダマスコ の 貫の 木を ¿き， アベン の 谷から 住民を 斷ち， ベテエデン から 王のつえをとる 者を 斷つ． スリヤ の 民は キル に 捕えられて 行く 」と ／主は 言われる．
  1. The words of Amos, who was among the sheepherders from Tekoa, which he envisioned in visions concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
  2. He said, "The LORD roars from Zion And from Jerusalem He utters His voice; And the shepherds' pasture grounds mourn, And the summit of Carmel dries up."
  3. Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Damascus and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they threshed Gilead with implements of sharp iron.
  4. "So I will send fire upon the house of Hazael And it will consume the citadels of Ben-hadad.
  5. "I will also break the gate bar of Damascus, And cut off the inhabitant from the valley of Aven, And him who holds the scepter, from Beth-eden; So the people of Aram will go exiled to Kir," Says the LORD.
  1. 主はこう 言われる， 「ガザ の 三つのとが， 四つのとがのために， わたしはこれを 罰してゆるさない． これは 彼らが 人¿をことごとく 捕えて 行って， エドム に 渡したからである．
  2. わたしは ガザ の 石がきに 火を 送り， そのもろもろの 宮殿を 燒き 滅ぼす．
  3. わたしは アシドド から 住民を 斷ち， アシケロン から 王のつえをとる 者を 斷つ． わたしはまた 手をかえして エクロン を 擊つ． そして 殘った ペリシテ びとも 滅びる 」と ／主なる 神は 言われる．
  4. 主はこう 言われる， 「ツロ の 三つのとが， 四つのとがのために， わたしはこれを 罰してゆるさない． これは 彼らが 人¿をことごとく エドム に 渡し， また 兄弟の 契約を 心に 留めなかったからである．
  5. それゆえ， わたしは ツロ の 石がきに 火を 送り， そのもろもろの 宮殿を 燒き 滅ぼす 」．
  1. Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Gaza and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they deported an entire population To deliver it up to Edom.
  2. "So I will send fire upon the wall of Gaza And it will consume her citadels.
  3. "I will also cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, And him who holds the scepter, from Ashkelon; I will even unleash My power upon Ekron, And the remnant of the Philistines will perish," Says the Lord GOD.
  4. Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Tyre and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they delivered up an entire population to Edom And did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.
  5. "So I will send fire upon the wall of Tyre And it will consume her citadels."
  1. 主はこう 言われる， 「エドム の 三つのとが， 四つのとがのために， わたしはこれを 罰してゆるさない． これは 彼がつるぎをもってその 兄弟を 追い， 全くあわれみの 情を 斷ち， 常に 怒って， 人をかき 裂き， ながくその 憤りを 保ったからである．
  2. それゆえ， わたしは テマン に 火を 送り， ボズラ のもろもろの 宮殿を 燒き 滅ぼす 」．
  3. 主はこう 言われる， 「アンモン の 人¿の 三つのとが， 四つのとがのために， わたしはこれを 罰してゆるさない． これは 彼らがその 國境を 廣げるために， ギレアデ のはらんでいる 女を ／ひき 裂いたからである．
  4. それゆえ， わたしは ラバ の 石がきに 火をはなち， そのもろもろの 宮殿を 燒き 滅ぼす． これは 戰いの 日に， ときの 聲をもってせられ， つむじ 風の 日に， 暴風をもってせられる．
  5. 彼らの 王はそのつかさたちと 共に ／捕えられて 行く 」と 主は 言われる．
  1. Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Edom and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because he pursued his brother with the sword, While he stifled his compassion; His anger also tore continually, And he maintained his fury forever.
  2. "So I will send fire upon Teman And it will consume the citadels of Bozrah."
  3. Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of the sons of Ammon and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead In order to enlarge their borders.
  4. "So I will kindle a fire on the wall of Rabbah And it will consume her citadels Amid war cries on the day of battle, And a storm on the day of tempest.
  5. "Their king will go into exile, He and his princes together," says the LORD.
 
 
  1. 主はこう 言われる， 「モアブ の 三つのとが， 四つのとがのために， わたしはこれを 罰してゆるさない． これは 彼が エドム の 王の 骨を 燒いて ／灰にしたからである．
  2. それゆえ， わたしは モアブ に 火を 送り， ケリオテ のもろもろの 宮殿を 燒き 滅ぼす． モアブ は ¿ぎと， ときの 聲と， ラッパ の 音の 中に 死ぬ．
  3. わたしはそのうちから， 支配者を 斷ち， そのすべてのつかさを 彼と 共に 殺す 」と ／主は 言われる．
  1. Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Moab and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because he burned the bones of the king of Edom to lime.
  2. "So I will send fire upon Moab And it will consume the citadels of Kerioth; And Moab will die amid tumult, With war cries and the sound of a trumpet.
  3. "I will also cut off the judge from her midst And slay all her princes with him," says the LORD.
 
  남유다와 북이스라엘의 심판(2:4-3:15)    
 
  1. 主はこう 言われる， 「ユダ の 三つのとが， 四つのとがのために， わたしはこれを 罰してゆるさない． これは 彼らが 主の 律法を 捨て， その 定めを 守らず， その 先祖たちが 從い 步いた ／僞りの 物に 惑わされたからである．
  2. それゆえ， わたしは ユダ に 火を 送り， エルサレム のもろもろの 宮殿を 燒き 滅ぼす 」．
  3. 主はこう 言われる， 「イスラエル の 三つのとが， 四つのとがのために， わたしはこれを 罰してゆるさない． これは 彼らが 正しい 者を 金のために 賣り， 貧しい 者をくつ 一足のために 賣るからである．
  4. 彼らは 弱い 者の 頭を 地のちりに 踏みつけ， 苦しむ 者の 道をまげ， また 父子ともにひとりの 女のところへ 行って， わが 聖なる 名を 汚す．
  5. 彼らはすべての 祭壇のかたわらに ／質に 取った 衣服を 敷いて， その 上に 伏し， 罰金をもって 得た 酒を， その 神の 家で 飮む．
  1. Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Judah and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they rejected the law of the LORD And have not kept His statutes; Their lies also have led them astray, Those after which their fathers walked.
  2. "So I will send fire upon Judah And it will consume the citadels of Jerusalem."
  3. Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Israel and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they sell the righteous for money And the needy for a pair of sandals.
  4. "These who pant after the very dust of the earth on the head of the helpless Also turn aside the way of the humble; And a man and his father resort to the same girl In order to profane My holy name.
  5. "On garments taken as pledges they stretch out beside every altar, And in the house of their God they drink the wine of those who have been fined.
  1. さきにわたしは アモリ びとを ／彼らの 前から 滅ぼした． これはその 高きこと， 香柏のごとく， その 强きこと， かしの 木のようであったが， わたしはその 上の 實と， 下の 根とを 滅ぼした．
  2. わたしはまた， あなたがたを ／ エジプト の 地から 連れ 上り， 四十年のあいだ 荒野で， あなたがたを 導き， アモリ びとの 地を 獲させた．
  3. わたしはあなたがたの 子らのうちから ／預言者を 起し， あなたがたの 若者のうちから ナジル びとを 起した． イスラエル の 人¿よ， そうではないか 」と ／主は 言われる．
  4. 「ところがあなたがたは ナジル びとに 酒を 飮ませ， 預言者に 命じて『預言するな 』と 言う．
  5. 見よ， わたしは 麥束をいっぱい 積んだ 車が ／物を 壓するように， あなたがたをその 所で 壓する．
  1. "Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, Though his height was like the height of cedars And he was strong as the oaks; I even destroyed his fruit above and his root below.
  2. "It was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, And I led you in the wilderness forty years That you might take possession of the land of the Amorite.
  3. "Then I raised up some of your sons to be prophets And some of your young men to be Nazirites. Is this not so, O sons of Israel?" declares the LORD.
  4. "But you made the Nazirites drink wine, And you commanded the prophets saying, 'You shall not prophesy!'
  5. "Behold, I am weighted down beneath you As a wagon is weighted down when filled with sheaves.
  1. 速く 走る 者も 逃げ 場を 失い， 强い 者もその 力をふるうことができず， 勇士もその 命を 救うことができない．
  2. 弓をとる 者も 立つことができず， 足早の 者も 自分を 救うことができず， 馬に 乘る 者もその 命を 救うことができない．
  3. 勇士のうちの 雄¿しい 心の 者も ／その 日には 裸で 逃げる 」と ／主は 言われる．
  1. "Flight will perish from the swift, And the stalwart will not strengthen his power, Nor the mighty man save his life.
  2. "He who grasps the bow will not stand his ground, The swift of foot will not escape, Nor will he who rides the horse save his life.
  3. "Even the bravest among the warriors will flee naked in that day," declares the LORD.
 
 
  1. イスラエル の 人¿よ， 主があなたがたに 向かって 言われたこと， わたしが エジプト の 地から 導き 上った ／全家に 向かって 言ったこの 言葉を 聞け．
  2. 「地のもろもろのやからのうちで， わたしはただ， あなたがただけを 知った． それゆえ， わたしはあなたがたの ／もろもろの 罪のため， あなたがたを 罰する．
  3. ふたりの 者がもし 約束しなかったなら， 一緖に 步くだろうか．
  4. ししがもし 獲物がなかったなら， 林の 中でほえるだろうか． 若いししがもし 物をつかまなかったなら， その 穴から 聲を 出すだろうか．
  5. もしわながなかったなら， 鳥は 地に 張った 網にかかるだろうか． 網にもし 何もかからなかったなら， 地からとびあがるだろうか．
  1. Hear this word which the LORD has spoken against you, sons of Israel, against the entire family which He brought up from the land of Egypt:
  2. "You only have I chosen among all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities."
  3. Do two men walk together unless they have made an appointment?
  4. Does a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Does a young lion growl from his den unless he has captured something?
  5. Does a bird fall into a trap on the ground when there is no bait in it? Does a trap spring up from the earth when it captures nothing at all?
  1. 町で ラッパ が 鳴ったなら， 民は 驚かないだろうか． 主がなされるのでなければ， 町に 災が 起るだろうか．
  2. まことに 主なる 神は ／そのしもべである 預言者にその 隱れた 事を ／示さないでは， 何事をもなされない．
  3. ししがほえる， だれが 恐れないでいられよう． 主なる 神が 語られる， だれが 預言しないでいられよう 」．
  4. アッスリヤ にあるもろもろの 宮殿， エジプト の 地にあるもろもろの 宮殿に 宣べて 言え， 「サマリヤ の 山¿に 集まり， そのうちにある 大いなる ¿ぎと， その 中で 行われる 暴虐とを 見よ 」と．
  5. 主は 言われる， 「彼らは 正義を 行うことを 知らず， しえたげ 取った 物と 奪い 取った 物とを ／そのもろもろの 宮殿にたくわえている 」．
  1. If a trumpet is blown in a city will not the people tremble? If a calamity occurs in a city has not the LORD done it?
  2. Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets.
  3. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy?
  4. Proclaim on the citadels in Ashdod and on the citadels in the land of Egypt and say, "Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria and see the great tumults within her and the oppressions in her midst.
  5. "But they do not know how to do what is right," declares the LORD, "these who hoard up violence and devastation in their citadels."
  1. それゆえ 主なる 神はこう 言われる， 「敵がきて， この 國を 圍み， あなたの 防備をあなたから 取り 除き， あなたのもろもろの 宮殿はかすめられる 」．
  2. 主はこう 言われる， 「羊飼がししの 口から， 羊の 兩足， あるいは 片耳を 取り 返すように， サマリヤ に 住む イスラエル の 人¿も， 長いすのすみや， 寢台の 一部を 携えて 救われるであろう 」．
  3. 万軍の 神， 主なる 神は 言われる， 「聞け， そして ヤコブ の 家に 證言せよ．
  4. わたしは イスラエル のもろもろのとがを 罰する 日に ／ ベテル の 祭壇を 罰する． その 祭壇の 角は 折れて， 地に 落ちる．
  5. わたしはまた 冬の 家と 夏の 家とを 擊つ， 象牙の 家は 滅び， 大いなる 家は 消えうせる 」と ／主は 言われる．
  1. Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, "An enemy, even one surrounding the land, Will pull down your strength from you And your citadels will be looted."
  2. Thus says the LORD, "Just as the shepherd snatches from the lion's mouth a couple of legs or a piece of an ear, So will the sons of Israel dwelling in Samaria be snatched away-- With the corner of a bed and the cover of a couch!
  3. "Hear and testify against the house of Jacob," Declares the Lord GOD, the God of hosts.
  4. "For on the day that I punish Israel's transgressions, I will also punish the altars of Bethel; The horns of the altar will be cut off And they will fall to the ground.
  5. "I will also smite the winter house together with the summer house; The houses of ivory will also perish And the great houses will come to an end," Declares the LORD.
