- 六か 月目に， 御使 ガブリエル が， 神からつかわされて， ナザレ という ガリラヤ の 町の 一處女のもとにきた．
- この 處女は ダビデ 家の 出である ヨセフ という 人のいいなづけになっていて， 名を マリヤ といった．
- 御使が マリヤ のところにきて 言った， 「惠まれた 女よ， おめでとう， 主があなたと 共におられます 」．
- この 言葉に マリヤ はひどく 胸¿ぎがして， このあいさつはなんの 事であろうかと， 思いめぐらしていた．
- すると 御使が 言った， 「恐れるな， マリヤ よ， あなたは 神から 惠みをいただいているのです．

- And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
- To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
- And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
- And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
- And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

- 見よ， あなたはみごもって 男の 子を 産むでしょう． その 子を イエス と 名づけなさい．
- 彼は 大いなる 者となり， いと 高き 者の 子と， となえられるでしょう． そして， 主なる 神は 彼に 父 ダビデ の 王座をお 與えになり，
- 彼はとこしえに ヤコブ の 家を 支配し， その 支配は 限りなく 續くでしょう 」．
- そこで マリヤ は 御使に 言った， 「どうして， そんな 事があり 得ましょうか． わたしにはまだ 夫がありませんのに 」．
- 御使が 答えて 言った， 「聖靈があなたに 臨み， いと 高き 者の 力があなたをおおうでしょう． それゆえに， 生れ 出る 子は 聖なるものであり， 神の 子と， となえられるでしょう．

- And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
- He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
- And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
- Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
- And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

- あなたの 親族 エリサベツ も 老年ながら 子を 宿しています． 不妊の 女といわれていたのに， はや 六か 月になっています．
- 神には， なんでもできないことはありません 」．
- そこで マリヤ が 言った， 「わたしは 主のはしためです． お 言葉どおりこの 身に 成りますように 」． そして 御使は 彼女から 離れて 行った．
- そのころ， マリヤ は 立って， 大急ぎで 山里へむかい ユダ の 町に 行き，
- ザカリヤ の 家にはいって エリサベツ にあいさつした．

- And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
- For with God nothing shall be impossible.
- And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
- And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
- And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

- エリサベツ が マリヤ のあいさつを 聞いたとき， その 子が 胎內でおどった． エリサベツ は 聖靈に 滿たされ，
- 聲高く 叫んで 言った， 「あなたは 女の 中で 祝福されたかた， あなたの 胎の 實も 祝福されています．
- 主の 母上がわたしのところにきてくださるとは， なんという 光榮でしょう．
- ごらんなさい． あなたのあいさつの 聲がわたしの 耳にはいったとき， 子供が 胎內で 喜びおどりました．
- 主のお 語りになったことが 必ず 成就すると 信じた 女は， なんとさいわいなことでしょう 」．

- And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
- And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
- And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
- For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
- And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

- すると マリヤ は 言った， 「わたしの 魂は 主をあがめ，
- わたしの 靈は 救主なる 神をたたえます．
- この 卑しい 女をさえ， 心にかけてくださいました． 今からのち 代¿の 人¿は， わたしをさいわいな 女と 言うでしょう，
- 力あるかたが， わたしに 大きな 事をしてくださったからです． そのみ 名はきよく，
- そのあわれみは， 代¿限りなく ／主をかしこみ 恐れる 者に 及びます．

- And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
- And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
- For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
- For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
- And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

- 主はみ 腕をもって 力をふるい， 心の 思いのおごり 高ぶる 者を 追い 散らし，
- 權力ある 者を 王座から 引きおろし， 卑しい 者を 引き 上げ，
- 飢えている 者を 良いもので 飽かせ， 富んでいる 者を 空腹のまま 歸らせなさいます．
- 主は， あわれみをお 忘れにならず， その 僕 イスラエル を 助けてくださいました，
- わたしたちの 父祖 アブラハム とその 子孫とを ／とこしえにあわれむと 約束なさったとおりに 」．

- He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
- He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
- He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
- He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
- As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

- マリヤ は， エリサベツ のところに 三か 月ほど 滯在してから， 家に 歸った．

- And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.
