- 神の 怒りは， 不義をもって 眞理をはばもうとする 人間のあらゆる 不信心と 不義とに 對して， 天から 啓示される．
- なぜなら， 神について 知りうる 事がらは， 彼らには 明らかであり， 神がそれを 彼らに 明らかにされたのである．
- 神の 見えない 性質， すなわち， 神の 永遠の 力と 神性とは， 天地創造このかた， 被造物において 知られていて， 明らかに 認められるからである． したがって， 彼らには 弁解の 余地がない．
- なぜなら， 彼らは 神を 知っていながら， 神としてあがめず， 感謝もせず， かえってその 思いはむなしくなり， その 無知な 心は 暗くなったからである．
- 彼らは 自ら 知者と 稱しながら， 愚かになり，

- For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
- Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
- For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
- Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
- Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

- 不朽の 神の 榮光を 變えて， 朽ちる 人間や 鳥や ¿や 這うものの 像に 似せたのである．
- ゆえに， 神は， 彼らが 心の 欲情にかられ， 自分のからだを 互にはずかしめて， 汚すままに 任せられた．
- 彼らは 神の 眞理を 變えて 虛僞とし， 創造者の 代りに 被造物を 拜み， これに 仕えたのである． 創造者こそ 永遠にほむべきものである， アァメン ．
- それゆえ， 神は 彼らを 恥ずべき 情欲に 任せられた． すなわち， 彼らの 中の 女は， その 自然の 關係を 不自然なものに 代え，
- 男もまた 同じように 女との 自然の 關係を 捨てて， 互にその 情欲の 炎を 燃やし， 男は 男に 對して 恥ずべきことをなし， そしてその 亂行の 當然の 報いを， 身に 受けたのである．

- And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
- Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
- Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
- For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
- And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

- そして， 彼らは 神を 認めることを 正しいとしなかったので， 神は 彼らを 正しからぬ 思いにわたし， なすべからざる 事をなすに 任せられた．
- すなわち， 彼らは， あらゆる 不義と 惡と ·欲と 惡意とにあふれ， ねたみと 殺意と 爭いと 詐欺と 惡念とに 滿ち， また， ざん 言する 者，
- そしる 者， 神を 憎む 者， 不遜な 者， 高慢な 者， 大言壯語する 者， 惡事をたくらむ 者， 親に 逆らう 者となり，
- 無知， 不誠實， 無情， 無慈悲な 者となっている．
- 彼らは， こうした 事を 行う 者どもが 死に 價するという 神の 定めをよく 知りながら， 自らそれを 行うばかりではなく， それを 行う 者どもを 是認さえしている．

- And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
- Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
- Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
- Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
- Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
