예레미야 9:1-10:25

 유다 멸망에 대한 애곡의 분위기가 극도로 고조된 가운데 예레미야는 하나님의 공의를 들어 징계의 불가피성을 밝혔고, 유다를 멸망케 한 우상 숭배의 실상을 간파하였다. 그는 하나님께서는 창조주로서 능력의 근원이 되시며 인생의 화복을 주관하시는 분이심에 비해, 인간에 의해 만들어진 우상은 무능할 뿐임을 공포하였다.
  
  배반한 유다의 참상(9:1-9:26)    
 
  1. 荒れ 野に 旅人の 宿を 見いだせるものなら ／わたしはこの 民を 捨て ／彼らを 離れ 去るであろう． すべて， 姦淫する 者であり， 裏切る 者の 集まりだ．
  2. 彼らは 舌を 弓のように 引き 絞り ／眞實ではなく 僞りをもってこの 地にはびこる． 彼らは 惡から 惡へと 進み ／わたしを 知ろうとしない， と 主は 言われる．
  3. 人はその 隣人を 警戒せよ． 兄弟ですら 信用してはならない． 兄弟といっても ／「押しのける 者（ヤコブ ）」であり ／隣人はことごとく 中傷して 步く．
  4. 人はその 隣人を 惑わし， まことを 語らない． 舌に 僞りを 語ることを 敎え ／疲れるまで 惡事を ¿く．
  5. 欺きに 欺きを 重ね ／わたしを 知ることを 拒む， と 主は 言われる．
  1. Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people.
  2. Oh, that I had in the desert a lodging place for travelers, so that I might leave my people and go away from them; for they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people.
  3. "They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me," declares the LORD.
  4. "Beware of your friends; do not trust your brothers. For every brother is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer.
  5. Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning.
  1. それゆえ， 万軍の 主はこう 言われる． 見よ， わたしは 娘なるわが 民を ／火をもって 溶かし， 試す． まことに， 彼らに 對して 何をすべきか．
  2. 彼らの 舌は 人を 殺す 矢 ／その 口は 欺いて 語る． 隣人に 平和を 約束していても ／その 心の 中では， 陷れようとたくらんでいる．
  3. これらのことをわたしは 罰せずにいられようかと ／主は 言われる． このような 民に 對し， わたしは 必ずその 惡に 報いる．
  4. 山¿で， 悲しみ 嘆く 聲をあげ ／荒れ 野の 牧草地で， 哀歌をうたえ． そこは 燒き 拂われて， 通り 過ぎる 人もなくなり ／家畜の 鳴く 聲も 聞こえなくなる． 空の 鳥も 家畜も， ことごとく 逃れ 去った．
  5. わたしは エルサレム を 瓦 ラ の 山 ／山犬の 住みかとし ／ ユダ の 町¿を 荒廢させる． そこに 住む 者はいなくなる．
  1. You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me," declares the LORD.
  2. Therefore this is what the LORD Almighty says: "See, I will refine and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people?
  3. Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks with deceit. With his mouth each speaks cordially to his neighbor, but in his heart he sets a trap for him.
  4. Should I not punish them for this?" declares the LORD. "Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?"
  5. I will weep and wail for the mountains and take up a lament concerning the desert pastures. They are desolate and untraveled, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. The birds of the air have fled and the animals are gone.
  1. 知惠ある 人はこれを 悟れ． 主の 口が 語られることを 告げよ． 何故， この 地は 滅びたのか． 燒き 拂われて 荒れ 野となり ／通り 過ぎる 人もいない．
  2. 主は 言われる． 「それは， 彼らに 與えたわたしの 敎えを 彼らが 捨て， わたしの 聲に 聞き 從わず， それによって 步むことをしなかったからだ． 」
  3. 彼らは， そのかたくなな 心に 從い， また， 先祖が 彼らに 敎え ¿んだように バアル に 從って 步んだ．
  4. それゆえ， イスラエル の 神， 万軍の 主は 言われる． 「見よ， わたしはこの 民に 苦よもぎを 食べさせ， 毒の 水を 飮ませる．
  5. 彼らを， 彼ら 自身も 先祖も 知らなかった 國¿の 中に 散らし， その 後から 劍を 送って 彼らを 滅ぼし 盡くす． 」
  1. "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals; and I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there."
  2. What man is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the LORD and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross?
  3. The LORD said, "It is because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or followed my law.
  4. Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their fathers taught them."
  5. Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water.
  1. 万軍の 主はこう 言われる． 事態を 見極め， 泣き 女を 招いて， ここに 來させよ． 巧みな 泣き 女を 迎えにやり， ここに 來させよ．
  2. 急がせよ， 我¿のために 嘆きの 歌をうたわせよ． 我¿の 目は 淚を 流し ／まぶたは 水を 滴らせる．
  3. 嘆きの 聲が シオン から 聞こえる． いかに， 我¿は 荒らし 盡くされたことか． 甚だしく 恥を 受けたことか． まことに， 我¿はこの 地を 捨て ／自分の 住まいを 捨て 去った．
  4. 女たちよ， 主の 言葉を 聞け． 耳を 傾けて， 主の 口の 言葉を 受け 入れよ． あなたたちの 仲間に， 嘆きの 歌を 敎え ／互いに 哀歌を 學べ．
  5. 死は 窓に 這い 上がり ／城郭の 中に 入り ¿む． 通りでは 幼子を， 廣場では 若者を 滅ぼす．
  1. I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will pursue them with the sword until I have destroyed them."
  2. This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Consider now! Call for the wailing women to come; send for the most skillful of them.
  3. Let them come quickly and wail over us till our eyes overflow with tears and water streams from our eyelids.
  4. The sound of wailing is heard from Zion: 'How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.' "
  5. Now, O women, hear the word of the LORD; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament.
  1. このように 告げよ， と 主は 言われる． 人間のしかばねが 野の 面を ／糞土のように 覆っている． 刈り 入れる 者の 後ろに 落ちて ／集める 者もない 束のように．
  2. 主はこう 言われる． 知惠ある 者は， その 知惠を 誇るな． 力ある 者は， その 力を 誇るな． 富ある 者は， その 富を 誇るな．
  3. むしろ， 誇る 者は， この 事を 誇るがよい ／目覺めてわたしを 知ることを． わたしこそ 主． この 地に 慈しみと 正義と 惠みの 業を 行う 事 ／その 事をわたしは 喜ぶ， と 主は 言われる．
  4. 見よ， 時が 來る， と 主は 言われる． そのとき， わたしは 包皮に 割禮を 受けた 者を ／ことごとく 罰する．
  5. エジプト ， ユダ ， エドム ／ アンモン の 人¿， モアブ ／すべて 荒れ 野に 住み ／もみ 上げの 毛を 切っている 人¿ ／すなわち 割禮のない 諸民族をことごとく 罰し ／また， 心に 割禮のない イスラエル の 家を ／すべて 罰する．
  1. Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has cut off the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares.
  2. Say, "This is what the LORD declares: " 'The dead bodies of men will lie like refuse on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.' "
  3. This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches,
  4. but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
  5. "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh-
  1. Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab and all who live in the desert in distant places. For all these nations are really uncircumcised, and even the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart."
 
  참 하나님과 거짓 우상(10:1-10:25)    
 
  1. イスラエル の 家よ， 主があなたたちに 語られた 言葉を 聞け．
  2. 主はこう 言われる． 異國の 民の 道に 倣うな． 天に 現れるしるしを 恐れるな． それらを 恐れるのは 異國の 民のすることだ．
  3. もろもろの 民が 恐れるものは 空しいもの ／森から 切り 出された 木片 ／木工がのみを 振るって 造ったもの．
  4. 金銀で 飾られ ／留め 金をもって 固定され， 身動きもしない．
  5. きゅうり 畑のかかしのようで， 口も 利けず ／步けないので， 運ばれて 行く． そのようなものを 恐れるな． 彼らは 災いをくだすことも ／幸いをもたらすこともできない．
  1. Hear what the LORD says to you, O house of Israel.
  2. This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them.
  3. For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
  4. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.
  5. Like a scarecrow in a melon patch, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good."
  1. 主よ， あなたに ¿ぶものはありません． あなたは 大いなる 方 ／御名には 大いなる 力があります．
  2. 諸國民の 王なる 主よ ／あなたを 恐れないものはありません． それはあなたにふさわしいことです． 諸國民， 諸王國の 賢者の 間でも ／あなたに ¿ぶものはありません．
  3. 彼らは 等しく 無知で 愚かです． 木片にすぎない 空しいものを 戒めとしています．
  4. それは タルシシュ からもたらされた 銀箔 ／ ウファズ の 金， 靑や 紫を 衣として ／木工や 金細工人が 造ったもの ／いずれも， 巧みな 職人の 造ったものです．
  5. 主は 眞理の 神， 命の 神， 永遠を 支配する 王． その 怒りに 大地は 震え ／その 憤りに 諸國の 民は 耐ええない．
  1. No one is like you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.
  2. Who should not revere you, O King of the nations? This is your due. Among all the wise men of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like you.
  3. They are all senseless and foolish; they are taught by worthless wooden idols.
  4. Hammered silver is brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz. What the craftsman and goldsmith have made is then dressed in blue and purple-- all made by skilled workers.
  5. But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath.
  1. このように 彼らに 言え． 天と 地を 造らなかった 神¿は ／地の 上， 天の 下から 滅び 去る， と．
  2. 御力をもって 大地を 造り ／知惠をもって 世界を 固く 据え ／英知をもって 天を 廣げられた 方．
  3. 主が 御聲を 發せられると， 天の 大水はどよめく． 地の 果てから 雨雲を 湧き 上がらせ ／稻妻を 放って 雨を 降らせ ／風を 倉から 送り 出される．
  4. 人は 皆， 愚かで 知識に 達しえない． 金細工人は 皆， 偶像のゆえに 辱められる． 鑄て 造った 像は 欺ぶにすぎず ／靈を 持っていない．
  5. 彼らは 空しく， また 嘲られるもの ／裁きの 時が 來れば 滅びてしまう．
  1. "Tell them this: 'These gods, who did not make the heavens and the earth, will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.' "
  2. But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.
  3. When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.
  4. Everyone is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols. His images are a fraud; they have no breath in them.
  5. They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish.
  1. ヤコブ の 分である 神はこのような 方ではない． 万物の 創造者であり ／ イスラエル はその 方の 嗣業の 民である． その 御名は 万軍の 主．
  2. 包圍されて 座っている 女よ ／地からお 前の 荷物を 集めよ．
  3. 主はこう 言われる． 見よ， 今度こそ ／わたしはこの 地の 住民を 投げ 出す． わたしは 彼らを 苦しめる ／彼らが 思い 知るように．
  4. ああ， 災いだ． わたしは 傷を 負い ／わたしの 打ち 傷は 痛む． しかし， わたしは 思った． 「これはわたしの 病 ／わたしはこれに 耐えよう． 」
  5. わたしの 天幕は 略奪に 遭い ／天幕の 綱はことごとく 斷ち 切られ ／息子らはわたしのもとから 連れ 去られて ／ひとりもいなくなった． わたしの 天幕を 張ってくれる 者も ／その 幕を 廣げてくれる 者もいない．
  1. He who is the Portion of Jacob is not like these, for he is the Maker of all things, including Israel, the tribe of his inheritance-- the LORD Almighty is his name.
  2. Gather up your belongings to leave the land, you who live under siege.
  3. For this is what the LORD says: "At this time I will hurl out those who live in this land; I will bring distress on them so that they may be captured."
  4. Woe to me because of my injury! My wound is incurable! Yet I said to myself, "This is my sickness, and I must endure it."
  5. My tent is destroyed; all its ropes are snapped. My sons are gone from me and are no more; no one is left now to pitch my tent or to set up my shelter.
  1. 群れを 養う 者は 愚かになり ／主を 尋ね 求めることをしない． それゆえ， 彼らはよく 見守ることをせず ／群れはことごとく 散らされる．
  2. 聲がする． 見よ， 知らせが 來る． 北の 國から 大いなる 地響きが 聞こえる． それは ユダ の 町¿を 荒廢させ ／山犬の 住みかとする．
  3. 主よ， わたしは 知っています． 人はその 道を 定めえず ／步みながら， 足取りを 確かめることもできません．
  4. 主よ， わたしを 懲らしめてください ／しかし， 正しい 裁きによって． 怒りによらず ／わたしが 無に 歸することのないように．
  5. あなたの 憤りを 注いでください ／あなたを 知らない 諸國民の 上に． あなたの 御名を 呼ぶことのない 諸民族の 上に． 彼らは ヤコブ を 食い 物にし ／彼を 食い 盡くし ／その 住みかを 荒廢させました．
  1. The shepherds are senseless and do not inquire of the LORD; so they do not prosper and all their flock is scattered.
  2. Listen! The report is coming-- a great commotion from the land of the north! It will make the towns of Judah desolate, a haunt of jackals.
  3. I know, O LORD, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.
  4. Correct me, LORD, but only with justice-- not in your anger, lest you reduce me to nothing.
  5. Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the peoples who do not call on your name. For they have devoured Jacob; they have devoured him completely and destroyed his homeland.
