- すべて 大祭司は, 供え 物といけにえとを 獻げるために, 任命されています. それで, この 方も, 何か 獻げる 物を 持っておられなければなりません.
- もし, 地上におられるのだとすれば, 律法に 從って 供え 物を 獻げる 祭司たちが 現にいる 以上, この 方は 決して 祭司ではありえなかったでしょう.

- 神は「新しいもの 」と 言われることによって, 最初の 契約は 古びてしまったと 宣言されたのです. 年を 經て 古びたものは, 間もなく 消えうせます.

- By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.
